This is true of most Sears stores. If they happen to have anything left it's likely to be $10 or less by now. Everything else is out of the system and will likely ring up as: Video Game, and is stickered $10 or $15, just like the games at Kmart that went out of the system.


Since the previous "weird Sears clearance thread" is a bit outdated and a bit difficult to read, I decided to go ahead and make a new clearance thread to follow in the same format as the infamous Target clearance threads.

**** Prices are obviously YMMV, I have listed the lowest known price, however prices may be double or half the listed price, depending on your luck.

***** My current theory is that the games marked with a "Jun" clearance sticker are actually now 1/2 price at most stores, "Jul" clearance games may drop again in September, while the "Aug" clearance games are naturally up to date.

******Prices seem to be dropping again as we near September, the actual price in some cases my now be 40% less than the listed price.

What the policy is, is a price error policy, meaning that if an item scans for more than it is tagged AND it is under $5, you will get it for free. If the item is over $5, you get $5 off.
 
Ahh ok, thanks for letting me know, this way if that ever happened at sears i would be able to make sure i get the right price for the item. It would be nice if kmart had that policy, since items scan wrong all the time there!!!
 
Picked up Chibi-robo 14.99 and kingdom under fire : heroes for 9.99. Not sure if KUF was a good deal or not but I had heard good things from the series.

I'm pretty sure it is only for the regular version of jade empire. I had them scan it at mine and the LE copy was something like $19.99 while the regular was $7.97.

I just got chibi robo and battalion wars for 14.99 and 14.97 each, thanks op, they were unmarked, battalion wars had a 24.99 tag and chibi robo had a 49.99 tag.
 
did they clearance the Metroid Gamecube bundle by any chance? saw one, but with the full price tag
 
Dam, I was just at a Sears and saw Fire Emblem SS but didn't pick it up because I didn't think it was on clearance, shit. Might have to take a trip back out there now.
 
Question. I saw Maximo: Army of Zin in a clearance bin with a sticker price of something like $25.00. The bin had a sign saying up to 67% off. Now I know this sounds stupid, but to make sure the game is not really the sticker price, is it?

I don't know where you saw FE SS, but there was a copy at Woodfield Mall as of yesterday evening.

just got back from Sears. no price drops still the same. i'm still seeing:

picked up that last copy of FF: Crystal Chronicles. i thought someone picked up after some folks asked me if i seen it around, but looks like it was just waiting for me.

I found NOTHING today at sears. I saw two FFXI with HD for $30 each. I couldnt justify spending that money now. If anyone wants one I may be able to pick one up (PM me). The only decent deal today was at

where I got Splinter Cell: PT (xbox) for $2.48.
 
I don't think the price drop has officially kicked in at every store yet, at my local Sears everything had pink Sept stickers on them and they scanned up correct.

Found the following not in the OP or listed at another price:
Freedom Fighters (PS2) - $4.97
SSX Tricky (Xbox) - $2.97
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (GC) - $2.97

Found a couple of others listed in the OP, including a Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance 2 for PS2.

i wonder if that title is out of the system already. hopefully not, coz i saw one player's choice copy locked up.

too bad i bought one last Friday.

Actually I found those quite a while ago and listed them at those prices, but it's easy to miss that in so many pages.

It was $4.97 a few months ago. Not sure if it's still that price, a little lower or out of the system.

I went to my local Sears and they had a big pile of games for all systems. I found it annoying that most of the games didn't have the price on the cover, how do you guys know how much their games cost?
 
Well the HorsExpress rolled into Sioux City, Iowa today.

Again, I found a few surprises!

There were few games in the separated clearance bins, yet when I went over to the glass cases I noticed tons of games just piled up in chaos at the bottom. I saw a few things I wanted to scan and went over to the clerk and asked her to check the prices for me. As I pulled out a few games she noticed they were marked and said that was the prices. "All prices marked are correct" she told me... I thought, oh boy, so you're one of those, eh? :roll:

Anyway, after she told me that Donkey Konga was $99, I decided I should at least check a few games that I knew damn well were on clearance.

Donkey Konga rang up $14.97, I passed, as I already have 3 sets of bongos, and I don't plan on paying more than $5 for a 4th set. The clerk then told me she must've been mistaken and they were originally $49.99. What she should have said is she was just too busy doing nothing to bother with a horse.

I did grab Kirby's Air Ride finally for $4.97, marked $19.99.

I also grabbed an extra copy of TMNT 2 Battle Nexus for $5, as I haven't seen that game much of anywhere and they had several copies. I figure worst case scenario I take it back to another Sears, but hopefully I can trade this.

Finally, I grabbed another copy of Mario Tennis for the gamecube for $9.97. There were also additional copies of this game. I basically grabbed this for trade or to sell to another CAG. So PM me if you're interested.

If you're in the Sioux City area this store is definitely worth checking out as they don't seem to update their video game prices at all.

I went today too. Some had some prices listed, but most of them were not marked. There was a sign that said clearance $19.99 and below. I didn't really wanna get them all price checked. Besides, there was only a couple I would actually play.

that was the last copy by the way, and it's been sitting there like for 2 months. so i picked it up, to my surprise it rang $4.97 rather that $10.

One of my sears has the clearance games out in the middle of the store. They all have pink stickers, but they are July prices and ring up that way in the computer. I personally had them scanned and everything. How is that possible?? The computer can be 3 months behind??
Also scanned gameboy player because everyone has been talking about it and it rang up $59.99. That sucked
 
I picked up Chibi Robo last night for $15 and saw that Eye Toy Play 2 (with camera) was marked as a clearance item for $25. It rang up for $15 though, and since I already have a camera, I'm putting this new one on eBay to sweeten the deal a little more. I just wanted Play 2, which you can't seem to buy without a camera for some reason.

I think the GBA Player is only clearanced at K-Mart stores. It scanned at $59.99 the last time I checked it at Sears with the Price Checker as well. A few people have been mixing up the clearance prices for both stores. Even though they are both owned by the same company, their clearances are completely different.
