This is true of most Sears stores. If they happen to have anything left it's likely to be $10 or less by now. Everything else is out of the system and will likely ring up as: Video Game, and is stickered $10 or $15, just like the games at Kmart that went out of the system.


Since the previous "weird Sears clearance thread" is a bit outdated and a bit difficult to read, I decided to go ahead and make a new clearance thread to follow in the same format as the infamous Target clearance threads.

*** Please attempt to post all additions as follows:

**** Prices are obviously YMMV, I have listed the lowest known price, however prices may be double or half the listed price, depending on your luck.

***** My current theory is that the games marked with a "Jun" clearance sticker are actually now 1/2 price at most stores, "Jul" clearance games may drop again in September, while the "Aug" clearance games are naturally up to date.

******Prices seem to be dropping again as we near September, the actual price in some cases my now be 40% less than the listed price.

I just got back from my local Sears in Bethesda, Maryland.

Oh boy, I got so lucky. I checked the $19.99 and under rack, and guess what I found? 3 copies of Resident Evil 4 for the PS2. Thats right fellas, 3 copies.

So of course I picked them up and took them to the register. But guess what? They rang up as $8.97. *plays air guitar*

YMMV?

why? coz another Sears in my area rang up $19.99 even though the clearance bin had it for $9.99. pretty messed up if you gonna ask me.

You, know, I thought that was a terrific idea! So I went to my local sears after work, as I had seen an Play 2 there the day before but had not realized it was $15 - or that I could sell the Camera alone for about that much.

But when I went back to the Moorestown Mall, the Play 2 was gone! So were the 2 copies of Chibi Robo I had left (not that I was particularly interested in them anyway). And someone had taken a big bite out of the clearance bin's stock that had been sitting for quite some time. hmmmm....Sam, might you be near me? :LOL:

I did pick up one of the several Eye Toy Kinetics for $14.xx though.

BTW, I am looking for a Fire Emblem: Sacred Stones for GBA. Willing to trade for it or possibly even pay via paypal.

Ok.. some weird shit at my Sears, but the local douche bags almost NEVER check prices for me when I ask.

They have a Metroid Prime GCN system bundle.. any chance it's clearanced?

They also had a JVC Sirius radio receiver marked at $50.97, and also had a pink clearance sticker on it. I know it isn't game related, but anybody know anything about it?
 
RE4 for 8.97!?!?! I'll head down to my 2 local Sears with UPC in hand and report back. Even if it's not in stock I just wanna see if it's 8.97 any place else.

Then take it up the food chain. Next time you ask for a price check and they refuse, tell the fuckers that you want to speak to their manager, and if that doesn't work, up to the store manager. If that doesn't work, up to district manager. Along the way, tell them that you will tell your friends and family that they shouldn't shop there. One bad customer experience can lead to $1,000,000 in lost sales. They'll listen, eventually.

I scanned the UPC at 2 price checker machines (2 different stores) and at both stores it came up as not in system.
 
Well that could mean the deal is BS or that like Fire Emblem the UPC has been removed from the system, thus the game is on clearence!

Wow it was a good day at my Sears. I checked about a month ago very thoroughly for Fire Emblem Sacred Stones and no luck. I go in there today and there is one left! It was $4.97. I also picked up a Silent Hill 4 for $9.99. I am so backlogged right now it isn't funny.
 
So anyone want to sell me a cheap Mario Tennis for Gamecube? I also have a sealed Battalion Wars from this clearance or I can probably get ahold of a sealed Fire Emblem or Chibi Robo to trade for it.

I didn't even know I wanted this game until I found the Gameboy Advance Mario Tennis on clearance at Target (they only had 1 copy, unfortunately) and started playing it. I'm having fun with it. I actually grabbed the N64 version at the Gamecrazy classic plastic 3 for $15 sale but haven't had a chance to play it yet. Speaking of Target, I also have a sealed Tales of Phantasia from that clearance.

Oh, I've received several offers for Mario Tennis, and of course I'm considering all of them, however, Cloakbass was the first to send me a pm, so I've responded to that first. I will respond to everyone else in turn after I hear back from Cloakbass, and I will attempt to pick up more copies of the game (strictly for trade on CAG) should I chance across them during my travels.
 
went to 1 sears before class in chicago.. picked up 2 copies of the Urbz for DS @ 4.97each and 1 copy of Genji for PS2 @ 9.97. they had feel the magic but it rang up as 9.99.

For whoever else besides me that wanted to know about metal slug 4/5. Thats a NO-GO I asked a clerk to scan it for me and it rung up at 39.99.
 
Went back to Sears in Laguna Hills Mall, CA. They had Eye Toys Play 2 and Kinetic marked as $24.97, both of which rang up as $14.97. One left of each.

Winston-Salem N.C. Sears. For 30 bucks I thought I could use the Hard Drive in place of memory cards even though Ill never use the FF game. They had many more games besides the ones I mentioned. Its worth checking out.

This may have been posted already, but the Obese Billfold folks are reporting a drop in the old Xbox Live starter kit (the one with Crimson Skies) to $9.97. These codes definitely work with the 360.

Big YMMV through.
 
Is the XBox Live starter kit with the 3 month Live subscription worth the $6 my Sears had one in stock last time I went. Will I be able to play it with 360?

The black box XBox Live starter kit with three months of Live is $39.99 at my Sears not $6. I bought an exrta copy of Pikmin 2 it is up for trade if someone wants it I am looking for Kirby the Amazing Mirror.
 
So... I found a Sears with 4 ps2 Hard Drives today. I know some of you have been looking for these. My paypal account isn't currently set up to receive payments, or even that functional as far as I know... but I'm sure I could work out a trade or something of that nature with anyone that NEEDS to have one of these.

BUT, remember I'm leaving this city tomorrow afternoon, so I can't help for long. Nor can I help more than 4 people...
 
A store around me had some and they were still ringing up 14.99

And i'm still broke....
can the 40GB hd with the FF game or any ps2 hd be used with the pc?

The PS2 HD only came with FF11. It's just a Maxtor hard drive and can be used in a PC, but even for $30, it's not a very good price for its size for a PC HD.
