This is true of most Sears stores. If they happen to have anything left it's likely to be $10 or less by now. Everything else is out of the system and will likely ring up as: Video Game, and is stickered $10 or $15, just like the games at Kmart that went out of the system.


Since the previous "weird Sears clearance thread" is a bit outdated and a bit difficult to read, I decided to go ahead and make a new clearance thread to follow in the same format as the infamous Target clearance threads.

*** Please attempt to post all additions as follows:

**** Prices are obviously YMMV, I have listed the lowest known price, however prices may be double or half the listed price, depending on your luck.

***** My current theory is that the games marked with a "Jun" clearance sticker are actually now 1/2 price at most stores, "Jul" clearance games may drop again in September, while the "Aug" clearance games are naturally up to date.

******Prices seem to be dropping again as we near September, the actual price in some cases my now be 40% less than the listed price.

Today I picked up

Wario Ware Twisted $6.97
Zelda II Classic NES Series $0.97
Trace Memory $7.97
Dance Dance Revolution Mario Mix $49.99

DKC 2 and DKC 3 GBA scanned for $29.99 and $34.99. Wario Ware Twisted is up for trade. I opened the game to make sure everything was there because it looked like thay had reshrinkwrapped it. The box is a little bit beat up but the game is complete new never played. I am still looking for Fire Emblem Sacred Stones, Mario Tennis Power Tour GBA, Metal Slug Advance or Sonic Advance 3 complete.

Thanks, Price adjustment is always YMMV. Yesterday a bitch refused to price adjust on my two clearance games, while I have done it a few time before. But for this, I do not think they have much to say. Like If I bought a game for 49.99, a few days later, universal price drops to 19.99 including sears. Then they refuse to do the price adjustment?

DDR Mario Mix - $49.99 (retail, but hard game to find now...buried in the glass case behind all the GCN games).
 
Mario vs. DK is down to $3.97, Trace Memory down to $5.97. and i picked up a couple of Dawn of Souls for $4.97 if anyone wants to trade for one.
 
Ugh. Had I known Pikmin 2 was so cheap, I would have grabbed it while I was at Sears. I did manage to grab Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance for $14, though. Saw one last copy of Final Fantasy Tactics Advance and a couple of copies for Trace Memory at $9.79 each.

Did OK at my store. They probably have more that's on sale, but the place is packed, NOTHING is priced correctly, and to top it all off the games are "locked" onto the rack so you have to call an employee over just to get them off the shelf.

I came away with:

Eyetoy: Kinetic (2) - $7.97 - one will be a Christmas gift
Eyetoy: Play 2 - $7.97
Custom Robo - $7.97 (for a friend)

They had several copies of the LOTR strategy game for the PSP, and I would bite if I knew it was $10 or less...but as I said, it's a major pain finding out. I'll go back by in a month or so when everything's died down.

EDIT: Forgot to mention, all of the Eyetoy games are the bundles w/ the camera. They also had 2 copies of Groove w/ camera, but it rang up at $29.99.

had the same problem when i went today nothing was priced right and i got sick of having them unlock the case to check the prices. the only thing i managed to find that came up at a clearance price was Pikmin 2 for $5.97 which i picked up.

Curses to my Sears and its no video game shenanigans!

If anybody runs by an extra copy of Pikmin 2 (GCN) or Sacred Stones (GBA) I will pay to have them shipped, just send a pm and we can work something out.

Thanks for the heads up. Maybe I'll swing back by Monday on my lunch break & see if I can get them to check the price then. I saw an Eyetoy Groove w/o camera as well, so I can get them to check that one too.

I swung by my Sears today but their games section was pretty dismal.

I did see Super Gunstar Heroes for $10 though I dunno if it's cheaper elsewhere. Thought about picking it up since I'd wanted it awhile back, but I kinda want Kirby more and don't want to spend money on something just cuz it's a good deal lol.

i grabbed SGH at $13.99 and was glad to get it! fun, old-school, & challenging shooter. if you have any appreciate for the 2d side-scrollers of yesteryear and don't mind a challenge, it's well worth 10 smackers.
 
Picked up Geist for $1.97 today! Also grabbed Pikmin 2 (Players Choice) for $6.97. Might return Pikmin... I hate players choice.

I asked the employee to price check my receipt for DDR Mario Mix it still rang up $49.99 no price adjustment for me.
 
It sucks that prices are so different by store now. I got Konga 2 w/o Bongos for that price in August and saw Bongos only for $4.97 a few months ago at a different Sears.
 
How much is Canvas Curse going for??

Any chance Animal Crossing, Partners in Time, or WarioWare Touched have gone to clearance?

By the way, I'm pretty sure the entire state of Colorado is sold out of Mario Mix, such a wasted Sunday :(

Warioware Touched went on clearance over a year ago. It was $12.97 last December. If you find it now it will either be out of the system or under $5.

^ It should be, Custom Robo was at the same price schedule and that is $9.97 or less now.
 
I went to the Sears on Olympic & Soto here in L.A. and there were very few games left.

The games that stood out to me from what was left were Mech Assault (xbox) & Oddworld Stranger's Wrath (ps2) for $9.99 each. I don't have an xbox but i'm thinking of buying one and from the reviews i've seen, Mech Assault is a pretty good, but old game. As for Oddworld, do u guys think that $9.99 is a good price for that game?
 
If you don't mind buying used games, EB/Gamestop has Mech Assault for $2.99 used.

Are you sure Oddworld Stranger's Wrath was for PS2? I didn't think it came out for PS2 and don't see any existence of it on any sites or EBay. If it was for XBox, $9.99 is a fair price for it but Toys R Us has it for $5.20 if you can find it
 
Pikmin 2 Player's Choice is $5, the non-PC version is $7. I found another DDR Mario at the same store I got my last one at. I guess they had one in the back. I always thought Sears kept all their extra games in the case.

Thanks for the heads up. I've never bought a used game before, heck, I don't have that many console games, but this will change now that I found out about CAG.

And yeah, Oddworld Stranger's Wrath was for XBox. My mistake.
