Hey CAGs, like a good majority of you, i have no health insurance. So going to the doctor is out of the question. Aside from that, its nothing serious. But I would like to know if i should be walking around:

Case File 0001:

Age: 21
135 lbs
5' 9"

I'd consider myself a gamer, not an athlete at all. So i went running with my roommate Wednesday 9/12, stretched a little, then we ran for over a mile. I wore my skate shoes and i felt fine until the next morning. Where my leg was just way too sore. I stretched a little, then a bit the next morning, but my right leg still hurt incredibly bad. Now its Monday and it still feels uncomfortable, and occasionally hurts to walk on my right leg.
At first my muscles were sore, but now it mostly hurts around my ankle. Should i be walking on it or still taking it easy?

Have you worked out before? It just seems like muscle soreness to me. If you've never seriously worked out, the first 2 weeks are going to be hell as your body starts adjusting to the workout.

Oh yeah its almost so bad it makes me NOT want to start here again this winter.

I mean it can hurt the next couple days to the point of not being able to lift your arms / legs.

It does go away. I am surprised that you ran an entire mile with no previous work outs... I am guessing it was a combo of run / walk or you were pretty determined to keep up... if your in as bad of shape as you made it sound.

I hear you there. I have so many house projects, and or small trips I take during the summer I really cant get a good workout going. Of course I could do a before work thing at the gym but I have all the stuff needed at home.

During the winter I can plan my time better and really dedicate some time to it.

My legs are sometimes sore, but that's probably because I don't have enough Calcium in my bones. I do a lot of walking and biking though.

Did you try stretching before you went skating, because that might help, especially if you haven't done much exercising in a while?
At 5' 9", 135 why the heck are you running???

You should be laying around eating twinkies and donuts trying to put some weight on
I'm 5'5" at 130lbs, and I somewhat think I'm fat, so I'm trying to lose some weight (I need better abs also, so I'm trying to lose the fat and gain muscle).
