Seen any good movies recently?
Friday Night Lights was very good, saw that a few days ago. I also saw Team America last night and that was the funniest movie I've seen in a long time, probably since Dodgeball. Keep in mind that I dont bother seeing many comedies in the theater though. I also rented Frequency yesterday and that was pretty good as well.
I saw Team America the other night and thought it was hilarious also. I plan on seeing Ray this weekend and definitely the Incredibles the next. Watched Dawn of the Dead in DVD last night with the new ending.

Signed up for Blockbuster online and the first movie I got was midnight run with Deniro. Glad I was finally able to see this movie because it was quite good

I totally agree some twisted funny stuff.
SAVED is prolly the worst movie ive ever seen. it shows how stupid people are for believing a book

ok well lets move on with the last post there.

Saved was decent wife picked it and I managed to stay through the whole thing.

Eternal sunshine was a great movie. Yet to see adaption.

Other movies I had watched somewhat recently were
The Day After Tomorrow--ok nice effects.
The Thing- No I had never seen it pretty good especially given the age
Dawn of the Dead- Ok movie
Man on Fire- Simply great movie a must see/buy
Last Samuri- Very good also

There are more but I will stop at that.

I think you may have missed the point.

I cannot wait to see Garden State. It's already (unfortunately) out of theatres here (it ran a whopping two weeks but has been hailed as one of the best movies this year). It comes out on DVD 12/28 though.

I don't get shit in the theatres where I live. Unless its like a childs movie, then we get just about everyone. I did manage to watch Dawn of the Dead on dvd today. Quick question though, what was the original ending? Someone can PM me if they want to avoid spoiling the movie for others.

Ladder 49-average
Friday Night Lights-good Billy Bob Thornton-very good (and I'm not really a fan of his)
Napoleon Dynamite-one of the funniest movies I have EVER seen-absolute must-buy
oh yeah, some little indy sci-fi flick called The Empire Strikes Back-have you heard of it?
Ghost in the Shell 2-way too existential IMP

Bump.

I saw forgotten last week, and surprisingly after people told me it sucked, I was very pleasantly surprised. I really, really enjoyed it. The ending was a bit lame though.
Also, mystic river and fight club. Both excellent movies.

You know...

I have a lot of respect fro Eastwood and all the actors in Mystic river. I wathced that movie and was not that impressed. The actingw as dead on but the ending I didnt like.

Maybe I was looking for the typical hollywood ending but man.

Agreed, almost. I thought the ending was typical and terrible. And, also, I do not like Sean Penn one tiny bit.

You should Jude the Obscure. Once you read that ending, nothing else seems cruel...

I watched "SAW" and I thought it was a fantastic idea but very poorly executed!!
It had such bad acting, I think Danny Glover needs to give it up as well Cary Ewles.

I totally agree, they was some messed up stuff in that movie, The chick with the bear trap was about the worst though.
