Yes they do. The only reason people are giving you a hard time is because the fact that what you're doing would be return fraud. My advice would be to take the more honest path and just sale it to somebody you may know. Don't abuse the return policy at Walmart because eventually if enough people do what you do, Walmart may stop taking returns on games altogether.

This might sound crazy, but I actually think it might go back up closer to BF. To reiterate what I posted yesterday, GH:M is on sale right now- but according to my manager, it and SH are marked at $29.90 because they're supposed to be pulled off the shelves on BF... Which either means they're really taking them off the shelves for some reason, or they're taking them off until they can return them to their original prices.
 
If TIV for everyone's beloved pipe mania holds fast a few days, I noticed on Big Lots Thanksgiving sale they will have $5 PS2 games and pipe mania is pictured there. But with Big Lots it is a huge YMMV. Sorry to open up an old wound but the object of this forum is to help out others with deals. Good luck!

Alright so I gotta couple of questions.

So I have some games that I'm gonna be trading in, and I was thinking of holding off till Thursday, when they add the 30% more on trade in values, but I heard that they will be lowering the trade in values on that day? Is this true? And what would you do trade in the games now or wait till Thursday?

Also looking at the GC BF Ad, on the first page on Friday they have Fight Night Round 4, Bionic Commando, etc. for $14.99 Are these games new or used? and do you know if you would ask for them at the front desk or if they are on the shelves?

I just want to make sure I get everything I need, and know before hand what I need to do so I get my stuff before others do! haha!

Will a Used copy of Fight Night 4 cost more than a new copy during the promo?

I'm already picking up Prince of Persia with the deal (it's valid, seeing as it's available from 11/27 to 11/29- it's not a Thur-Fri only promo :p), and I want to get the most for my money (duh). How many of you guys think the TIV will last for the 30 percent increase on trade ins? I really don't know if I should trade it all in now or wait, If I was to trade it all in today I would get right around $70 dollars but if I waited I would get over $90 that is if they keep their current TIV.

My MVP doesn't expire till 4 more days so I would still get 10 percent more which would put me right about $80 dollars.

Ahhh I don't know what to do???
 
Has anyone experienced getting a MVP for 20 years or something? Last week when I was in GC the guy said, "Whoa your MVP doesn't expire until 2021" or something like that. Not sure how that happened.
 
What games are worth using the B1G1 coupon on? Since it excludes the Thursday/Friday deals I can't think of any good games that sell for less then $19 new.
 
Hey all. Do you think we can use the 30 percent off one used game coupon from the newsletter in this sale, especially buy 2 get 1 free? Does the MVP program stack with the buy 2 get 1 free offer? Will Gamecrazy lower its TIV's on Thursday because of the extra 30% trade in? Finally, does anyone have the list of new games under $18.99? Thanks.

I think the guy said 2030 for me....seriously! He was saying maybe it was the european way of writing out dates.

No clue, but I would wait (depending on what games you're trading in, if they're not flips) because the TIV's would have to go down a lot for you to lose $20 right?

You're probably on the MVP Plus program- the one where you pay monthly. We do the same thing with the Backstage Pass/VIP at Sam Goody- BSP is yearly, VIP is monthly. So if you have the MVP+ and you never decide to cancel, they'll charge you until 2021/2030. And if you think that's bad, F.Y.E./Sam Goody stores will charge you until 2099, assuming you never cancel. That's right, if you live for 90 more years and never cancel, it seems like you'll pay $11.99 a month for the REST OF YOUR LIFE.

Let's do some math- $11.99 a month x 12 months in a year x 90 years = $12,949.20. Just a little food for the thought- maybe you should cancel your MVP+/VIP if all you're using it for is the associated store, and pay $10-$25 for a year's membership. :p

Nothing stacks with the B2G1 at Game Crazy- not even MVP. It says so on the ad. I don't think anyone can tell you if the TIVs will be dropped when the 30% extra starts... I doubt it, considering setting them all back afterwards would be a pain in the ass- not to mention to begin with. >_>; And if someone has a list of $18.99 or under, I would love them forever if they posted it before Thursday. ^_-; I think most of them are old PSP/DS games, but there are some good ones- Force Unleashed (RE) for example, and Prince of Persia will be eligible for the B1G1.

Didn't work. The game was PS2 Codename: Kids next door for you Iphone users. It has 2 tiv's. One for $0.00 and another for $150.00.

You could try and get them to adjust it by letting them see your iphone app, but don't bother. The most the employees can adjust is $10, and I seriously doubt they will adjust a ps2 game for $150.

Ah. Still, I'd imagine it's a good flip, anyway- how much could Codename: Kids Next Door for PS2 go for? :p Interesting find, nonetheless.

But now we wait for stories of people going in on Black Friday and getting $195 for it... XP

That's because you guys signed up for MVP Plus. Same thing happened for me, until the store associate looked closer and realized it's for MVP Plus.

Wow I've seen the ad multiple times and I always read the $18.99 deal as a B2G1 since I'm used to them running that one so often. :lol: B1G1 it is. :bouncy:
 
I'm sure this has been asked before, but I've searched the thread, and I'm still a bit confused: Are the trade in values for Gamecrazy the same as Movie Gallery? Everyone mentions Hollywood Video, but it seems like the other store is ignored...

Also, the gift cards work at all three, right?
 
Hey, when I went earlier they were handing out coupons for 20% off any item valid from December 1-31st. It doesn't have any limits. It doesn't specific used, new, or price point.

Only restriction is "Cannot be combined with any other offers, including mvp. Snagged 5 of them.

i just traded in a bunch of ps2 games (with 3 pipe mania's), the manager noticed the "glitch" but was real cool about it, he said "hey man its cool, u come here all the time", plus games that dont have any value (meaning they wont take), i give it to them anyways, just to give away

so my suggestion : give GC ur no value games (just to show ur good heart or what not) and when theres a glitch/flip in ur favor the manager might b cool about it

Will they be sending out the ad in the mail? I don't know if it's worth going out tomorrow to pick it up in store.

When I was in the store earlier today, it was still on sale, but they only had a disc-only used copy, so I passed. Also, Pipe Mania's TIV was still $9.09.
