When was it confirmed that Psicosis was released?
It hasn't been by the WWE yet.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that WWE made the decision to release Psicosis from his contract on October 13, and that they are awaiting all the details of his recent arrest so that they can have them on file before they actually let him go for legal reasons. His profile page still remains on WWE.com at the moment.

Wrestling Observer Newsletter have reported that he has been fired, but WWE have not yet announced yet.
Time to make our Bound For Glory predictions.... my predicted winners are in BOLD.

NWA Championship-Special Enforcer Kurt Angle
Sting vs Jeff Jarrett

Six Sides of Steel-NWA Tag Team Titles
LAX vs Aj Styles and Chris Daniels

X Division Championship
Chris Sabin vs Senshi

Monster's Ball Match
Brother Runt vs Abyss vs Raven vs Samoa Joe

AMW vs Team 3D vs Naturals vs James Gang

Loser Gets Fired
Eric Young vs Larry Zybsko

Kevin Nash's X Division Invitational Gauntlet Battle Royale For Bound For Glory
Winner: Alex Shelly

Who Will Be Bobby Roode's Manager?
My Pick: Traci

Who Will Come Out Best in the Angle/Joe Confrontation?
My Pick: Joe

I agree with all of Demo Man's picks. I think that AJ and Daniels are going to go back to the X-division because it is in really bad shape and AMW and LAX are going to start a fued that will last until Team 3D gets back into championship form.

Slight spoiler for Bound For Glory tonight. I spoilerized it for those who don't want any heads up on one of the participants in the Kevin Nash X Division Battle Royal.

Zach Gowen is booked for tonight's PPV and will take part in the Kevin Nash Invitational X-Division Battle Royal. Gowen is from the Michigan area, so this was a no brainer.

Also for those who might attend the TNA tapings this is a bit of vital news for you.....

TNA will tape Impact this Tuesday in order to give everyone a day to rest and travel to Orlando, Florida.

You know, that's the one thing I definetly have to give to TNA, they definetly put an emphasis on giving their wrestlers time to be able to rest and recover.

Yeah, it's refreshing to see a company that knows how to take care of its employees.

I just saw Impact and the 30-minute special. Very enjoyable. I really liked the montage set to "Enemy."
Hey Saucy... where is your sexy avatar?

3 hours away folks.... 3 hours away from the biggest PPV of the year. :D
I don't know. I took down the avatar and sig. I might try something different sometime soon.

And yep, I can't wait for the PPV either. I think that LAX vs. Styles/Daniels could steal the PPV yet again.
WTF is up with Sting's new facepaint? Didn't notice it until I watched that Road to Glory show last night.
He is going to have a different face paint mask on for BFG. That's what they are teasing about in those promos... that and hyping up the match too.

I'd love to see a Liger / Muta type of deal with the match tonight. I'll explain...

It would be cool if Sting wore some kind of "mask" that is colored black and white like his current facepaint. They could say it's some kind of after-effects from the gasoline in the face or something.

During the match, Sting's mask is ripped off, and underneath he's wearing his classic multi-colored facepaint and gets a burst of energy.
Alright..... less than 15 minutes prior to the TNA Bound For Glory preshow. Is anyone as excited as I am for this PPV? :D

I can't freakin wait!
Cable company finally let me order this. For some reason, you can only order something EXTREMELY close to the start time. So, I'm off to see this. :)

Lance Hoyt's lucky he has a job. He totally stinks.

Let me say this: I had a VERY difficult time deciding against purchasing BFG tonight. They did a helluva job setting this PPV up, from angles and video packages to the way they look like, with a new crowd and a new building, they are "big time" finally.

In the end, I need to study tonight, I need to save money for christmas, and I just can't order it. The only thing I would fault TNA for is this: putting Jarrett vs Sting as the main event. It's a major faux pas, but I hope that they realize that those two REALLY need to step out of the title scene. Part of me thinks TNA knows this, and that the winner of the title match tonight will be the person TNA thinks will draw the most money against Samoa Joe next month. What match would you rather see: Jarrett vs Joe, or Sting vs Joe?

Nice PPV so far.

The opening Nash gauntlet was great. Lots of surprises. Loved seeing D-Ray 3000 again in TNA. Austin Starr won.

The tag match was good. Team 3D won.

The Monsters Ball match was good sloppy hardcore fun. Abyss nearly took the thumbtacks to his eyes. Jake Roberts has the slowest ref count I had ever seen. Looks like we got a Roberts vs Raven fued starting up. Samoa Joe wins.

Eric "Adam Sessler" Young vs Larry Zybisco is going on ri...

Eric "Adam Sessler" Young wins. Zybisco is "fired."

Great segment!!!!!

Cornette came to the ring. He said that if Joe interfers in the NWA World Title match that he is removed from the TNA roster. Angle then came out and said that he wants to take on Joe (after a bunch of "TNA is the best" type lines). Joe comes out finally. Security follows to keep them seperate. They try to go at it for a few minutes. Finally the segment ends with the crowd going WILD.

Tenay just informed us that Joe has been ejected from the building.

Sabin wins in an AMAZING match to win the X Division title. Four star match. Great stuff.

Christian def. Rhino after Christian pilled everything but the kitchen sink on top of Rhino then smashed the chair onto the pile of junk to really hurt Rhino for the win.

LAX vs Styles/Daniels next.

Sting defeated Jeff Jarrett to win the NWA World Title. Angle gave the Olympic Slam to knock out the ref halfway through the match then took over being ref.

You know.....

I really do hope that TNA ends up having Sting "pass the torch" by losing the belt eventually to Samoa Joe. Otherwise I will swear that TNA should of let JJ win that match. We'll see where this goes.

Glad I didnt pass it by, I almost did, even though I'm such a TNA mark.

I am so glad they gave LAX the titles back, Phenominal Angel is alright, but they're better competing against each other

I am just glad they were able to jumpstart the Tag Team division. LAX had no real purpose until AJ and Daniels came around and started a great fued. Hopefully they can do the same for the X-division and bring it back to its former glory with Senshi as the third member instead of Joe.

I personally marked out for:

Kevin Nash(you might hate him, but he's fucking awesome at commentating)
D-Ray 3000!
Short Sleeve Sampson
Austin Aries(I refuse to call him Starr)
Norman Smiley as usual
Joe, like everyone else
Senshi
CC
LAX, big time
Angle
And Sting

Great PPV, I hope Genesis doesnt suck though

i thought nash was competeting though.. i was let down when he was just commentating...

i just got around to seeing the beginning of raw.... wtf is up with those gay pics of orton......

.... Retire?

"Put someone over." would be a good sign for him. I thought Bound For Glory had an iffy start, but the last half of the show was awesome with the cage match, Rhino-Cage match, X title match, and world title match all being at least good. The Joe-Angle pullapart was great, and I loved the set design. Between it and the use of one ramp, TNA actually looked like a serious wrestling company. I was impressed with all the fire and pyro they used as well.
Austin Aries(I refuse to call him Starr)
My ass. Looking at the rest of your post, it sure didn't take long for you to act like a sheep and call Low-ki "Senshi."

I give you 6 weeks before "Aries" ceases to roll off the tongue.
"Put someone over." would be a good sign for him.
"Hey, look at me" smarky signs like that are usually pretty dumb, not to mention the fact that Undertaker has a free pass until 2008 for putting Khali over with a foot on the chest. And there's no reason for him to retire, either....the match with Angle from No Way Out was the WWE match of the year. Not bad for an "old man" and a "drug-addicted walking injury," huh?

BFG was ok, nothing revolutionary and it cracks me up when people start saying stuff like "LOOK OUT VINCE." I was right behind the production setup where they set the music/pyro/etc. I was wearing my "Go Shaq-Fu Yourself" shirt and I was in the front row of my section, so it should be easy to spot me if I'm on at all. Vince Russo kept walking by us and would update us on the Tigers game which was cool, as much as I can't stand his work. Other people of note that walked by at least once:

Terry Taylor (couldn't think of a snarky comment outside of a tired "Rooster" jab, so I said nothing)
Konnan - I got off a "Peel my potatoes, ARRIBA!" (old WCW reference)
One of the Harris/Bruise/DOA Brothers - I don't know which one since they are twins. He was on the ring crew or something.

Also, the majority of losing wrestlers walked right by us on the way to the back as well...most would ignore us but Raven acknowledged us, as did Eric Young (playing into his overly-happy gimmick). Probably my favorite moment of being "up close" like that was when Abyss did the dive onto Spike...Jim Mitchell was doing his satanic minister thing, laughing all maniacally, so naturally everyone nearby me started mocking that and laughing along.

I don't know if this has been done before (I'm assuming it has) but the "A-1 STEAK SAUCE" chant for A1 had me laughing.

My own comment of the night came when Low-Ki came walking by after losing. "STOP TAKING THIS SO SERIOUSLY!" since he looks like a fucking idiot with that fake scowl on his face all the time.

Here are a few of the pics I took. I have more but these were most of the standouts.
Vince Russo kept walking by us and would update us on the Tigers game which was cool, as much as I can't stand his work.
I know it's only been three weeks, give or take, but he has (1) nixed that awful Dutt/Sabin/Lethal 'jackass' thing, (2) not put the title on David Arquette, (3) possibly led to Jarrett being out of the title scene, and (4) set up some good tag division feuds (looks like Styles/Daniels are going to head back and boost the X-division, Team 3D are involved in a feud, AMW is involved and their breakup thankfully postponed, and LAX are strong again), and (5) the Angle/Joe stuff is very enjoyable, and will continue to be - they could make some money off of this if they don't have a singles match against each other until February or later - drag this motherfucker out!

Don't get me wrong, I won't credit him for all of that. But, TNA is headed in a strong direction right now on all fronts, IMO. Am I still skeptical of Russo? You betcha; I'm a little relieved that he's all into Jesus right now, as that indicates, to me, that he'll avoid all those nauseatingly sexual segments/storylines he's known for.

Even outside of those scenes, Christian Cage is strong now (I'm absolutely amazed that he won), and Rhino lost while maintaining his character; Robert Roode, aside from his disappointing manager, is on the way up; Runt and Abyss have been having good matches (Raven shouldn't be in front of a camera anymore, IMO - he reminds me of Jake Roberts in 1996 by this point). They're doing quite well with a number of characters, seeing as how they only have 1 hour per week of TV. Less is more, I suppose - it's hard to get burnt out if so-and-so isn't on TV every goddamned week having the same match, cutting the same interview, or sneak attacking the same person.

And, let me say: I look forward to Sting/Joe. They *have* to build it up like they did Rock/Austin at WMX7, though. Keep both faces, have them exhibit some begrudging respect for each other, and let their "competitive juices" be the fuel for what motivates them to win the match. That, or perhaps the "future of the industry" versus the "legend of the past who, although champion, is in the twilight of his career, and damned sure doesn't want to cut short their last great run." It would leave more uncertainty over the winner - and get great crowd interest due to old Sting fans and new Joe fans - than to have the inevitable Joe/Jarrett title match, the ending to which would be as predictable as the SCSA/HBK match from WM14. To make this match, though, I don't think they should have any physical interaction with each other, I don't think they should sneak attack, and both should (most importantly) remain babyface. If they do that, it will be awesome, and perhaps the first Sting match since his run against Ric Flair in 1991(?) that I am interested in.

One of the Harris/Bruise/DOA Brothers - I don't know which one since they are twins. He was on the ring crew or something.

You shoulda told him you could see his white power tattoos underneath the coverup.

There you go. Clear as day.

My own comment of the night came when Low-Ki came walking by after losing. "STOP TAKING THIS SO SERIOUSLY!" since he looks like a fucking idiot with that fake scowl on his face all the time.

I don't think he's faking it, hombre. He's known to be a pain in the ass to work with, and he's fallen out of favor with ROH time and time again, allegedly due to acting like a princess not getting her way when he's asked to do a job.

Great pics, BTW! Thanks for sharing them! The venue looked almost high-school gymnasium small; was it? Also, if you can estimate if the Tigers game being on/in town hurt attendance at all?

EDIT: Let me make a prediction: Monty Brown will be on SmackDown before Thanksgiving. Why, you ask? Well, he has a great look and can't wrestle for shit. He's perfect for an edited WWE program. I also don't think it's any small coincidence that TNA is getting better, and he's not on TV.

I still call him Low-Ki too, I just didnt realize that I typed it until now

Does anyone sometimes wait for Low-Ki / Senshi / whatever the fuck to say, "If you smellllllllllll.........." ?

Sometimes it seems like he is trying to sound like The Rock on purpose. "It doesn't matter what the X-Divison is!!!!"
You shoulda told him you could see his white power tattoos underneath the coverup.
My smartass friend (a non-wrestling fan who made multiple hilarious sarcastic comments during the evening) was itching to ask that exact question after I told him that the guy had an SS tattoo.

I don't think he's faking it, hombre.
Oh, me neither....we've all heard what a prick he is, and I assume most of us have heard the Tammy Sytch "YOU WILL SHOW RESPECT TO LOW-KI" confrontation from a while back. But come on, no one looks like that without trying. That dude belongs in the State Home For The Ugly (credit: Garbage Pail Kids Movie) if he looks like that 24-7.

The venue looked almost high-school gymnasium small; was it?
Well, it definitely seemed bigger than the "Impact Zone" to me. It's a minor league hockey team arena, the venue's site lists "4,500 capacity" for non-hockey events like concerts, so I'd guess there were anywhere from 4500-5000 people there. I'm going to have to see what it looks like when I finish downloading the show buying the replay to see if what it looks like on TV is what it looked like live. I'm guessing no.

Also, if you can estimate if the Tigers game being on/in town hurt attendance at all?
I don't think so - it was a small enough arena and the event was big enough to draw a full house. Several people around me were from out of state as well, so obviously that wouldn't have much of an effect on attendance.

Oh, and that pic of Angle and Joe being separated by security would be my favorite picture EVER if only Joe's head was up too. I took like 3 pictures though and that was the best one. I had to wait until my final try (the pic of Sting on the ropes) before I got one that was "Apter Magazine-ish."
Actually, I don't know the Tammy Sytch story.
Its in the Tammy Sytch Shoot interview i posted. Basically Low-Ki told Tammy she needed to "respect Low-Ki" or soemthing along those lines.

Edit: Im an idiot and basiclaly explained nothing with that post. Anyways if i remember correctly Low Ki was hogging the mirror and Tammy needed to use it to get ready and Low Ki said to here "You will show respect to Low-Ki" and she got all bitchy with him. I'm sure its way exaggerated since the story is comming from Tammy, who thinks she is the greatest thing to ever happen to professional wrestling.

KaneRobot, thanks for posting the pics. Your post is the only one I could find a pic of what Sting's new outfit was. Weird, looks like a mesh of surfer sting(the tights), Wolfpack Sting(tight colors and the red face paint) and the regular Sting.

If I remember right, this isn't the first time Sting's been NWA world champion. Wasn't he a NWA world champion back when WCW had it?

Oh, Jesus; this confounds even me. He first became champion after Turner bought Jim Crockett promotions and renamed it World Championship Wrestling (up until that point, "World Championship Wrestling" was the name of the NWA program on TBS).

The NWA, however, was a collectivity of regional promoters; the NWA and WWF/WWWF titles were, I believe, the most prestigious belts because they were defended over a large number of regional promotions (NWA more). Harley Race, Dusty Rhodes and the like would work as the NWA champ for a spell, then move onto another region, and so on, taking the belt with them. It was a symbol that "Mr. Big fucking Deal" was coming to your town. It was Black Sabbath coming to your town, with local acts opening up for them - you came out to see the show when the champ came through.

Short story long, the NWA kept the NWA belt after WCW came into being (keep in mind, when WCW became WCW, it was no longer associated with the NWA). The NWA title shrunk in presitge and was defended around various smalltime promotions in the northeast in the early-mid 1990s. Remember Shane Douglas, the birth of ECW, and the "Night the Line Was Crossed"? He won a tournament to become the NWA champion, then tossed the same belt Sting now has to the ground, symbolically burying the past.

So, the NWA never went away, it just fell into obscurity. I *think* (and may be wrong) that the belt we know as the "big gold belt" was introduced by WCW as their new world heavyweight championship as they ceased being the NWA. It wasn't used until the Flair/Sting feud of the early 1990's. Again, my memory is really hazy here.

It doesn't help that Flair took off for the WWF with the belt. WCW panicked and gave Ravishing Rick Rude a WCW tag title, calling it the "WCW Championship." Later, after Ric finished his cup of coffee with McMahon, he came back to WCW with the big gold belt, and they had the "WCW Champion" (Rude, or Vader, or Ron Simmons, or someone) and the "World Heavyweight Champion" (Flair) at the same fucking time. Very confusing.

Anyway, after Shane Douglas killed what was already dead (the NWA belt and legacy), it sunk even lower, being defended in shithole northeast wrestling promotions. IIRC, Steve Corino was the NWA champion for a number of years after ECW folded, and he was in between stints in Japan.

EDIT: Jeff Jarrett (I think) came to the WWF in 1996-7 as the NWA champion during a stupid fucking NWA/WWF angle with Jim Cornette at the forefront. Remember the "New Midnight Express"?

Shit, if you really want to follow title histories, the AWA title is still out there. I think Evan Goddamned Karagias might have it.

It's interesting to consider pro wrestling title histories. If you recall Ultimo Dragon's 8 or 9 lightweight titles that he held simultaneously, one of them was the old WWF Light Heavyweight championship; the WWF stopped defending and tracking it, and it made its way to Japan, where he won it (this is an earlier title than the one they brought back in the mid 90's to hype TAKA Michinoku). Funny seeing a WWF title on WCW TV back then. I wonder why they never sued.

I have more at home from his entrance and stuff, I'll put them up after work.

Weird, looks like a mesh of surfer sting(the tights), Wolfpack Sting(tight colors and the red face paint) and the regular Sting.
Yeah, it was pink neon Sting meets Crow Sting. Kind of a strange combo, but, hey, the colors woked for Bret Hart.

Weird, I always thought of surfer Sting as "regular Sting." The times are a changin'....

If I remember right, this isn't the first time Sting's been NWA world champion. Wasn't he a NWA world champion back when WCW had it?
Yeah, he won it in July 1990 from Flair. However, this IS the first time that Sting has won that particular belt (the old-school NWA one). When he beat Flair, he received the big gold belt similar to Booker T's current title. It is kind of cool that Sting finally got to wear that belt.
