Shining Force Neo $37.70 plus shipping at overstock.com

The link goes to Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow...

Nice price on the game though, they had Radiata Stories for the same price too...

Not a chance in hell I'm ordering from overstock... anyone who has kept track of the Radiata Stories fiasco will agree with me.

Rot in hell, overstock.

Yeah, some people still haven't received their game yet, and it's been over 2 months. FTW?!

The Radiata Stories thing was a fiasco. I ordered 8/19, the game released 9/6. It wasnt until late September I got curious as to why I didnt have my game or hadnt received any communication as to where the game was or why it was delayed. After I finally decide to contact Overstock, they tell me the game is lost in the mail (amazing how it was "lost in the mail" for so many other people here at CAG as well) and they'd have to put a trace on it which would take 10 more days. I can gladly say I final received a credit to my account last week (yes thats right .. in mid October). All I can say is .. unless its an amazing deal, avoid Overstock at all costs!!

*And by the way .. Overstock has lost 3 out of 3 of my orders now all resulting with a credit to my card a month or more after my original order

stay away from them.... 3 months & my order never shipped... they don't allow you to cancel your order... & they charge your credit card after you order....

I'm still waiting for a refund....

after 6 or so calls & 10 e-mail...

Dont order from Overstock!

Especially noting that this offer is a PREorder. I preordered RAdiata Stories using Paypal balance (note that) and it never came. I called and emailed weeks after the release date to see what was up. A month later after the release date, I get an email stating there was a mistake and that the game was actually Out of Stock when I ordered, but since I paid using a credit card, I could not be refunded so I would get store credit instead.

NOT TRUE! I used PayPal balance! And besides, it does not matter how it is funded, ANY PayPal charge can be refunded.

Also in the email, they said that the game was now in stock and "for my convienience", they placed a link to the game which I could order now. But the price of the game had gone up $10 in price. I replied to that email calmly and clearly saying how it was unfair that the game had gone up in price and that I should not have to pay more for a game because of a mistake in their system. Of course, they never responded to that email.

A few days later, I got this "Apoligies for my error, and a gift for you" email from the CEO of Overstock.

An offer for free membership to their Christmas Club O (reg. $9.99 to join) which means 5% off all purchases and $1 shipping until Dec. 31, 2005.

First of all, 5% is pitiful and an insult considering I have to pay $10 more for the game I want. I'd have to buy $200 more worth of stuff just to save $10!

Second of all, in order to save, I have to buy more from Overstock. I don't think so.

And worse of all, reading terms and conditions, " Club O Holiday Membership benefits do not apply to purchase made from our travel department (located at http://travel.overstock.com), event tickets, books, magazines, videos, cd's, dvd's, video games, software, and other select products. " All I buy is media products like video games and CD's and they don't even apply!

Everyone that has been screwed by Overstock should complain to the BBB, Bizrate, and Pricegrabber.

Sure, a lot of transactions go smoothly, but their customer service is absollutely the worse and once they get your money, really there's nothing you can do.

Reviews of the import version of this game were not favorable. One might find oneself wanting to wait, because if it is mediocre then a used copy will be easy to score.

List Price: $39.99
Our Price: $46.59

Umm, wha? Since when does a site admittedly charge MORE than the list price? I'm so confused. Anyway, looks like this deal doesn't seem to work anymore since they want $46 for it now.

Does anybody think this game will lower in price before disappearing? did shining tears ever reach a price drop?

I've ordered from overstock 4 times now and never had a problem. Sorry if they stink at preorders.. I preorder phoenix wright and recieved it fine....not a big fan of overstock but pretty safe to order from.

they will say they had to jack up their price... it should show list price 49.99 but they are too lazy or stupid to fix it

I can safely say this game is worth whatever price you might pay for, be it $50, or cheaper. IT's REALLY good, especially if you're a fan of the particular genre. Smashing through hordes of enemies was never more satisfying.

I was hoping TRU would get it in, since I'd gladly get it during the sale. Or else, I'm also hoping Fry's will have the game on sale this weekend, since I'm planning to travel to Indy this weekend, where there's a Fry's.
