did it end up shipping? i went to best buy and walmart looking for it on thursday and didn't see it at either store. then i went onto amazon, and it now says the release date is october 31st. what gives? was it only a UK release on the 17th? i could've sworn that amazon had it listed as march 17th a couple weeks ago.

amazon did have it listed as a march 17th ps2 release. i just decided to give cdwow a chance, but it's been a week and no word on shipment.
 
they haven't notified me of shipping yet. they have one listing on their site that says "ships within 24hrs" (which is priced higher) and another that says "expected to ship within 7-10 days" (cheaper, of course the one I went with) so I'm not sure what the difference and hold up is between the two.

Lots of Sony BMG artists like The Fray, Incubus, Roy Orbison, etc. There's even some country mixed in (keep in mind SingStar Country does NOT work on PS3 yet).

Yeah it does, at least my copy on my PS3... I posted about it here.

And yeah, there are some decent songs there, and good to see some country, but I wish it was stuff that wasn't on the Country disc, though, makes sense to start releasing DLC with songs they already have licenses for I guess, to test the water.

Anyway, the reason they release SingStar Country songs into the SingStore is because Europe hasn't gotten SingStar Country, and some people want that music on the disc.

I doubt we'll get the Queen stuff, but you never know. I know Triple X would explode if Killer Queen showed up. :lol:

From what I heard also, it appears that all Queen songs have been cleared for SingStore, meaning that this update just contains the songpacks as individual, while the next update will probably contain the rest of the 10 songs.

I give this update a 4 out of 10! The 2 ghetto country songs should be fun to sing. They should have gone with "Float On" as their first Modest Mouse song, but maybe we'll get it eventually.

that reminds me I should really start putting my stuff online but yeah these trophies are inane I mean why not have a trophy for getting a top 10 world wide score while we're at it. and judging from the page this is supposed to be for Vol 3. Ugh I'm still not sure how i feel about them breaking out MORE volumes. I'm not a big proponent of downloading game and such matter of fact I've been called Luddite but all the same I thin kSingStar works as a download songs system rather then keep buying disc version

I don't think that means 1000 4 star ratings, just over a 1000 ratings with the average being 4 star. Or maybe I'm deluding myself... And... I'm sure they'll be trophy whoring videos and enough people trying to get the trophies that it won't be as hard to get the online ones.

And I think I hear TMK coming with an explanation why SCEE keeps coming out with disc versions instead of focusing on DLC.

Ya, I am sure it means you have to get 1000 ratings with a 4 average. Look at some of the ther fuck trophy reqs for some other PS3 games:

MLB 09 (All BRONZE trophies)
-Get 1000 hits in any combination of modes.
-Strike out 500 batters in any combination of modes.
-Get 1500 RBI in any combination of modes.
-Hit 300 Homeruns in any combination of modes.

And the higher Warhawk and SOCOM trophies are INSANE... And Buzz where you have to play a few hundred games to get the plat. I do not know enough to talk about the other games like Killzone and R2, etc but I am sure they are just of a pain in the ass. Ya - fuck you PS3 trophy list maker... fuck you.

just got my ps3 singstar queen from cdwow yesterday. works flawlessly going from the US version to UK, as well as using the us ps2 discs via disc swap
 
Anybody find any online coupons for cdwow.us? I googled it and couldn't find any working.

Otherwise, I'm just gonna dip $29 into PS3 SingStar Queen. I can't wait that long! :bomb:
Besides, it'll probably be $11 cheaper than the US msrp.
 
They have some weird sales periodically. I preordered ps3 Pop there on St.Patrick's day because they had 11% off everything and I only paid like $23. Can't remember if there was a sale when I ordered Queen but it only cost me $26.

I forgot to mention this but NewEgg is selling SingStar Vol. 2 on PS3 for only $20 with free shipping.

This is a great deal since it usually retails at $40.

I just got a PS3 and the first Singstar, so pardon me for asking this if it has been answered a thousand times before in this thread:

Why does Singstar look like grainy crap on my HD TV? It looked great on my regular non-HD TV, and looks fine when I use the non-HD AV cable on the HD TV, but when I use HD cables and have the PS3 set to 720 or 1080i, Singstar looks horrible.

Any way to play Singstar in widescreen HD and have it look good?

SingStar Queen might just be the greatest videogame of all time. It's that good.

Also, cdwow has the wireless mics on their site finally - for $43. Tempting, but I'd rather not spend more than $30.

I need the wireless mics ASAP. My kids swung our corded ones around by the cord and now one mic does not work at all and one is about 50/50. I will not get another pair of wired mics because I know my kids will still swing them around. Well - if Singstar Disney worked on my PS3 I would buy another pair of wired mics. Good thing I do not have to worry about that..... :(
