Slipknot????

How can you all live with yourselves, listening to music like that?

Seriously, all of you spend a month straight listening only to like, Pachelbel, Mozart, and Haydn, and see if that doesn't help condition you out of that nonsense.

Although they are not metal at all, Trophy Scars has a rap feel and are infinities better than Slipknot. Then again, almost every artist in my library is better than Slipknot...

I league Slipknot with almost every other metal band that is popular with the teens these days. Like Atreyu, Avenged Sevenfold, and Bullet For My Valentine.

I am a fan of none of them, as they all sound exactly alike.

Avenged Sevenfold and Atreyu are garbage now, back in the day when they were actually HXC they were wonderful. Now Avenged Sevenfold is doing thing with Good Charlotte and Atreyu went downhill after suicide notes and butterfly kisses, i have not even touched their last 2 cds. Lip Gloss and Black, was as good as Atreyu got.

Sophisticated poster is sophisticated.

Thought we'd at least pass through Zeppelin and Hendrix before we went straight to Mozart.

And for the record, old Avenged Sevenfold is garbage. At least they can make songs that don't sound like bears being killed mixed with people hitting on garbage cans / are in harmony now.

linkpwns coming into a thread about shitty music saying his shitty music is better than this shitty music?

No wai!

I hate Slipknot and I'd totally take them over Kris Roe's whiny ass.

Haha, well, To each his own, eh?

I didn't even mention The Ataris in my post though... so i dunno where you got Kris Roe from.
Your sig.
Aha!

I had considered that, but I haven't listened to music on my computer in about an hour, as I've had my Ipod goin'.

I had never recommended The Ataris over Slipknot though. I said almost all of the artists in my Library were superior xD

;)

CrimGhost, I figured you woulda been all up on Cryptopsy and not just their drummer. I know you into that axe wielding, spill your guts all over the floor type of shit. :p

Vol 3 was the only Slipknot album I liked, the rest were a bit too commercial for me. I personally think Corey should devote himself full time to Stone Sour, but i guess Slipknot has a bigger market with all the emo kids.

Hehe you know me so well TFN. Besides, Cryptopsy is boring...it's all about Martyr. Those canucks can play some good proggy death metal.
WTF since when is an actual good singing voice whiny? Just because he doesn't sound all hard like Cradle of Filth or some other shit, does not mean that he is not good. And yes you will probably discount everything I just said, because I said Cradle of Filth is shit. But I expect that out of dumb ass metal heads. How about you take a break from listening to disturbed and three days grace and take a look at these.

The "singer's" voice in Protest The Hero is nowhere near a good singing voice. Now, not even touching on the fact that you think Cradle of Filth" is hard, Dani Filth's voice is so processed to hell because the fuck can't sing for shit.

I can definitely see a trend with your tastes though. Protest The Hero put terrible vocals over generic metalcore. Unearth put terrible vocals over generic metalcore. Might I suggest you find a band that puts good vocals over good music, just for once?

What is considered a "good" singing voice? I've always thought that Anthony Green had a fantastic voice, but nothing like a metal voice. What's considered a good metal voice?

With the stupidly large amount of metal sub-genres, that's hard to say. I wouldn't recommend a black metal vocalist to someone who listens to Judas Priest, and vice versa. Depends on what type of metal vocalist you want.
