When me and my friend discovered this site, we thought we were going to save a few bucks on games. Instead we got greater bills to pay since we suddenly bought awhole lot more games then what we're usually accustomed to. The moral of this story? As a gamer, when you want to save money, CAG isn't the place. No, because in the end you'll be a Broke Ass Gamer.

Agreed, although I buy some games for cheap and resell them to help pay for the habit.

Too true. In my 20 years of gaming, i'd probaly say I have doubled my game collection (not bank account) in 2 years from frequenting this site.
 
The CAG mods better filter through this topic real well and dole out bannings appropriately. People like sorrow don't belong here. "got bills to pay" what a bunch of crap. The unapologetic greed and "i can do this so i will and you can't stop me" is just sickening.

This is going to be hell... I don't really expect much, hopefully I can just get one or two of the games I've been really wanting to get (and get them for cheap!)
 
Attn: Michigan CAG’s – I work at the Lansing Mall Best Buy and we have a large number of clearance games (300+) pulled to put out in the morning. Most of the popular games are there (except for GC MP7).
 
i'm sure hoarders already clean out most best buys on sunday, i'll still give it a shot though. may just get something i want, i don't buy games to use as currency.

Someone already mentioned it a few pages back (lol @ this thread blowing up!), and I agree. Whenever there's a huge clearance that's EVERYWHERE, not YMMV, it should be posted within 24 hours of the day starting. Yea, some people will miss out because they didn't log onto the site for that one specific day, but still.

Can we somehow get some rule established? I really don't want my CC Summer Clearance to go bad this year :(

Dammit!!! Snow day!!! We've had no snow all fing year and it decides to plop down today of all days! Granted no school is good but this is like the deal of the year and I'm completley snowed in!

Ok here is my take on the price adjusting.

#1 they price adjust, everyone is happy, especially if it's a cash transaction because that means best buy doesn't lose any of their cash on hand.

#2 they dont price adjust, the buyer returns all items, best buy decides to be pricks and leave the games sit behind counter, buyer goes i would like to buy those, bb says you will have to wait till we put them out on floor to rebuy...bb knows they will sell so they don't care when they put them back on floor..meanwhile the buyer sits and waits a few hours and he never gets chance to rebuy therefor pissing the buyer off and he never tells them he will never shop there again!

#bb allows a take back, rebuy right there on spot

I know it's BB policy not to price adjust clearance but let's be real about this...Do you think BB wants the hassle over 1 day...i mean we have right to return items and then the spend man hours putting the games bck on shelf, spend more man hours rining up the next buyer..for what...NOTHING...so if i was a manager of best buy i think i would definately let this policy slide...plus i believe this policy is in place for any price adjustements within 30 days you can ask for refund but what if you show up to get your refund within 45 days...your realistically entitled to it because it did happen within 30 days of your purchase HOWEVER you asked 45 days after your purchase so there is really no policy in effect that states a timeframe to request your refund. What if i wait a year on a TV that dropped 200 in price 10 days after i bought...per their policy they must refund me the money BUT if it was clearanced out during that 30 days they dont...it's super legaleeze!

See they won't care if the guy is like "OMG U WONT LET ME PRICE ADJUST MEH GAME, IM NEVER SHOPPING HERE AGAIN1!!1!" BB gets enough buisness where they won't lose sleep over it and I doubt people will protest the store because of it either. If they do, then they are morons.

Remember these kind of things are up to the stores discretion. They won't PA or PM anything that is either against their policy or it looks suspicous.
 
So is this a YMMV thing or is every Best Buy gonna have thse games at these prices? I don't wanna drive in 2 feet of snow and then get there and none of these games are on clearance.
 
yes every BB store in the us and some ca (i dunno)
but don't be surprise when 95% of these things arent there, they are just getting rid of these games

Your right and wrong...BB as a whole is a huge corp and wont care about losing one customer but THAT store manager cares especially when 50% of their salary is bonus based. My wife is store manager for a retailer that is 3rd biggest in world and she would care in a situation like this. She would do what's right because if they returned the items, she is only going to sell for the clearance price anyways so who really wins?

The game will sell anyways at the clearance price, so once again they aren't going to lose any sleep. The person who quits shopping there will be replaced by a new customer.

I went to my BB yesterday and there was nothing and I mean nothing from the list, But the store looked like it had just be inventoried and even the shelf tags were gone for all the game should take a chance and ride out there? Really what are the chances that the games were pulled to be place in a Bin? I have read some people saying thats what there doing and some saying no that’s not the case…
