It was similar to probably the best sale of the year($5 mid summer CC madness) bar a few glitches(Best Buy, CC)throughout the year. And very close to this time last year i got piles and stacks of games from CC at high percetages off. It was probably the first good size deal i got in on from CAG. It was also what made me addicted to this site and hold the site in high regards. Noobs would'nt remember but some of the older CAGers must remember this one. I doubt anyone has info this early but we are talking a matter of weeks for it to be the 1 yr aniversary and possibly another huge CC sale. Anyone?

yeah, I remember - hopefully something similar will happen this year but with all the new members it makes getting in on these deals a lot tougher...

Yep, that sure was a nice sale. After that we had the KBtoys clearence sale where everyone was trying so hard to get a copy of the list of games. :).

Allll-Right...

I got here a little too late... by the time I got there everything was gone. But yeah, the vibe back then was crazy. I always wished I discovered this site earlier
lol i though you ran into someone who you though had a nice ass at last years CC sale
Yep. You Americans have this weird obsession with "ass" and putting it everywhere where it doesn't belong.

I blame fraternities, myself. :p
Anyone remember the lil bitches that bought multiple copies of games so they could trade them in or sell them?
The ones that are at every sale that ends up on CAG and FatWallet?

*sigh*

Shame, isn't it? Those bastards screw over the rest of us quite nicely...

Sadly, I wasn't here for that one (didn't start coming until April), but I hope it happens again. I'll be ready, armed with CAG this time!!! :)

You mean like this...
"Yep. You Americans have this weird 'ASS' obsession with "ass" and putting it "everywhere where it doesn't 'ASS' belong "ASS"

Question I have is where you, being a non-American, is at?

I'm in America. Michigan, to be precise. I'm from England though. I've been here for over four years, but the "ass" thing seems to have increased massively in the last couple of years. It just sounds weird to me to have it in every sentence where it doesn't even make sense.

But then, I say "arse". What do I know? :)

I use "arse" when I want to say "ass", just to confuse people, as well as get away with it. :D Though, I think the increase in the use of "ass" explains the drop in average IQ scores for everyone who isn't on here. :D

That sale was especially good for picking up games with smaller print runs that rarely, if ever, went on sale. I was lucky enough to find Disgaea, and PSO I & 2 (GC), along with some other nice ones, but I didn't find Rez there (got it at TRU around the same time, though), and I had to wait a while and pick up Gitaroo Man used for more than 3 times as much, since none of my CCs had it. Even if they did a similar sale, I don't think there would be as many good finds. I think anything remotely rare has already been cleared out of there.

Edit: Come to think of it, that may have been one of the more recent sales.

This was the sale that wasn't $5 for everything correct? It was like some titles were $10 while others were reduced to $20 like Gitaroo Man?

That sale was extremely frustrating to me. I have several Circuit City stores nearby, but for every single day at the beginning of the sale, I had to open at my job and by the time I would get out each day it was too late to get to the sale. When I finally made it to Circuit City, it was wiped clean. No doubt something like that will occur again over break just so I can feel as if the universe enjoys hording my luck.

Still, I got a chance to get every Player's Choice game I wanted during the latest CC glitch, so it balanced out more or less.
man i was there at the CC sale...but there was nothing good at my CC's :(
if you are talking about the July sale, that was me!!

if you are talking about the Jan. sale you are correct there wasn't shit. There was in Wilmington though.

and the only reason the sale was good was the percentage off deal they had that one week

I remember... kick-ass sale. Picked up crappy $5 games for that sale for the (back then, much better) trade 4 titles for $50 credit going on at EBGames.com and B&M. So friggin' sweet.

Man, I hope to get in on that sale this year (if it does indeed come back). I didn't join CAG until New Year's, thus missing out on the CC goodness. :(

i missed out b/c i was on a cruise and didn't check cag til the day i was coming back. now i don't have a cc within an hour of me, so hopefully its a bestbuy sale, eb, or target sale.

I didn't find out about CAG until much later . . . but I noticed posts where people mentioned the sale. I always thought "what's the big deal?" Then the Best Buy clearance came (say April) and my store had nothing and I thought "what's the big deal?"

Then the CC $5 summer clearance hit and I was at the store within hours of the first post and I got many great games and I traded for many others . . . then, and only then I understood the power of CAG!

Nope, Gitaroo Man was also $5.

lol i nneed to get in on this, hopefully some sales will be good, how can you trade 4 for 50 credit at ebgames they always screw you over, i remember trying to get rid of some games and they wanted to give meliek a buck, its ridiculous

If I can remember correctly, they also had a "Buy 2 games $19.99 or over, save $10 deal" at the same time as the 50% clearance last January. I picked up Vampire Night and Grandia X-Treme for $20 each.
