Best celebrity I ever met was Jamie Lee Curtis in a local used game/CD store chain in Pittsburgh called "The Exchange". It was right in the Squirrel Hill Branch as well. I believe it was around two years or so ago in December. She was with family, they came in, all dressed quite nicely (her black dress was quite formal), and she asked one of the clerks for help. In about five minutes she was buying a whole stack of used N64 games (mostly Pokémon-related games but plenty of other must-haves and classics) for next-to-nothing.
Funny thing was that this was a few months after her making some statement that hit some of the gaming magazines that she felt that games had too much sway over children in some way. Interesting, really. Fact of the matter was that she knew which games her children (I assume they were receiving the games) wanted, what was appropriate, and could tell some of the quality from the crap quite well herself. That and she was absolutely hilarious. Very nice, vivacious, and comedic, even when just dropping by a store after some synogogue services.
