Well, I can't blame you since your experiences have drastically soured your perspective on Sony. I just have to object because you're making the PS3 out to be a rampart failbox which is more the exception than the rule. My 60gb has worked fine for me even through heavy use during a winter where my apartment was constantly 80 degrees and I use it for gaming, dvds/bd, media sharing,
folding@home, wireless internet, most of the capabilities it has.
[quote name='kube00']The point with Nintendo is you're going to pay out the ass for games and for accessories. I've had all three, and let me tell you after about a month the fun of the Wii wears off...

I'm with kube when I say that your Wii experience is going to come up short if you loved what the PS3 had to offer (when it worked). Controllers run $40 plus nuchuk $20 plus Wm+ $20.. $80 for a complete controller. HD space is limited, 3rd party support produces mostly shovelware.. the serious game companies aren't getting many people to buy 'adult' 'traditional' games anymore, no demos, no real internet offerings. Don't get me wrong, I've had one since launch because I'm a sucker for Nintendo 1st party games, but even then I still never use it.
I say this through clenched teeth, because I still believe it's BS a hardware company has yet to really fix their console's flaws four years after release, but maybe consider a 360 arcade before the Wii.. your experience will be similar only you won't have to pay to get it fixed for at least three years. I absolutely hate that they get away with it, but I'm close to getting a 360 myself due to the fact that games are cheaper and I have a few friends that have one. (No way I'd give up the PS3 though, will remain my primarly platform).
