D'oh! Roufuss, you (and I in my own thoughts) were spot in there. I think I'll pick up Point Blank too. And *everyone* should get Grandia III at that price. I bought it at full price and it was an excellent game. If VP:Lenneth is also $20, another good pickup (I already have that too though). Now if only VP2 would show up for $10 ;). I held off on that one due to my huge game backlog.

But I just knew AI 2, Steambot, and Metal Saga would end up cheap some day - I never expected $10 cheap, so this is excellent. Unfortunately I already made my pre-buying run and besides Point Blank (which I think I saw there), I don't remember if the others were even in stock (especially Metal Saga...).
 
I just am going to say that Metal Gear Acid 2 is a must buy for $10 if you have a PSP and don't own the game yet... there's too much to like in it to deny it at that price.

I believe the GCO $10 off over $30 end 12/26 11:59 PM. I might be wrong with this. Can someone please confirmed this?

BUY 4 $9.98 games, use the $10 off gco + 10% coupon, and you basically get a free game.
 
I am really curiouse to see the complete list... if for some reason the OP can't get the full list by the 26th, I'll personally go down my TRUs' throat to dig as far as I can to get my hands on that list. I've done it too many times with old sales that the employees act like they know nothing (which is usually true) so they just hand me all the info when I ask. The key though to convince them is tell them every single detail on what you are doing and they will comply most of the time. THe method has worked 90% of the time for me with most major CAG deals.

If anyone is looking for any of the Atlus RPGs, there's a good chance I might be able to snag some come the 26th. I know that when I went the other day, they still had assloads of em, and there don't seem to be too many CAGs in my area (ie, boofoo now that I'm home on break).

Also, I don't recall seeing any Grandia III's, so if someone could be kind enough to pick up an extra in case I can't find one, that'd be awesome. Thanks in advance.

Thanks again Ben. Pre-purchased the following: Samurai Champloo, Rub Rabbits, and Karaoke Revolution Party (xbox). Would gladly trade any for Resident Evil DS after price adjusting on Tuesday.

I'm making a prediction that Suikoden V will be included in this clearance as well. This hasn't been confirmed, but it will be worth checking out.
 
The problem is, no single store is likely to have the COMPLETE list. My store only got a list of games that we have in stock. Several, like NHL 06 (360), weren't on our list because we haven't had it in months.

I bought a couple games just in case, since I was at a TRU that is not close and i didn't want to make a trip back. One of which was Suikoden V, so I was thinking the same thing.

Ok, it looks like I may need some help with this one. I checked 5 TRU's for Grandia III, Metal Saga, and .Hack: Rebirth. None of the 5 stores had any of those three. So if anyone can get an extra one and hook me up, I would greatly appreciate it. I might have an extra Steambot to trade for them or CML.
 
Shiiiiit. I would be nuts to go out on Christmas Eve to a Toys R Us and try to grab some stuff in advance, and I have more important things to do today..

..and I agreed to work 8 to 4 on the day after Christmas.

I saw the tag for Grandia III, but didn't look closely enough to see if the game was there the other day.

Valkyrie Profile is very tempting for $19.98 though....
 
I paid another visit to TRU the employees at the store I go to are aware of the sale I asked for Capcom Classic Remix one of them said that is supposed to be on sale right? I asked another employee to check the glass case for me they had Capcom Classic Remix the back cover was facing outward he said when the cases are like that it is just a display copy and the game is not in stock. is that true? It felt like he was bsing me.

I asked for Castlevania DOS one of them said they do not get that game in stock very often I got that answer at three different TRU stores. I did not see the updated list before I went. The TRU I go to has a bunch of Pheonix Wright Ace Attorney I would like to see that title added to the clearance list.
 
Ouch! I hitup my local toysrus today to look for stock and could only find Steambot out of all the Rpgs. The store was pretty much picked clean.

This situation with out of stock but having display cases out DOES happen. The local store here in Austin has a case out for Advance Wars DS and Fatal Frame 3, and they havent had either in forever.

I'd still go out Tuesday morning anyways... for all we know games could be in the back, games could be hiding, games could be waiting to get put back onto the shelf, games could be in the case and we'd never even know because they don't have boxes on the floor. Give TRU tonight and Tuesday morning to clean up, get things straight.

I found the Steambot Chronicles fake case on the floor in a pile of some other games, took it up and they had a few... it's too tough to look through those glass cases when there are about 50 other people in the store waiting to check out, and not everything on the floor has a fake case. The Fatal Frame 3 I bought awhile ago didn't have a fake case AT ALL, but it was in the glass case.

Just trying to throw down some encouragement for some CAG's.

TRU is pretty shitty online, though.

It's worth checking out though... Metal Saga, Atelier Iris 2, Grandia 3 are all online. They are full price, but still on online, so maybe they will drop?

No Steambot Chronicles though... or that Yu-Gi-Oh game.
 
I scoped out the local TRU on my way back from Circuit City to see what they had in stock. Surprisingly, they actually had plenty of every game I wanted aside from "Samurai Warriors: State of War", "Tales of Legendia", and "Gallop Racer 06", so if anyone spots those on Tuesday, let me know.
 
I just came back from Tru. All I can find is Tales of Legendia, everything else is pretty much clean out.
 
I went to TRU last night and I found:
Rub Rabbits (DS)
Samurai Warriors (PSP)
Gradius Collection (PSP)
Metal Gear Acid 2 (PSP)

Now that the list was updated I want to go back and see if they have Grandia III or Point Blank, but I am fighting the urge to go on Christmas Eve.

Last year I went the day of the drop and just hoped to find the games that I wanted, but this year I decided to beat the rush. But I have a question, how do I go about getting them price adjusted later if I purchased the last copy in the store? I know that I bought the last copy of Rub Rabbits so how would I know that it went cheaper. I am probably being totally paranoid but I don't want a huge hassle on Tues. when I go back.

It's hard to say because TRU hasn't had their own website in years, they were always partnered with Amazon.

Now that they are doing their own thing, who knows what's going to happen =/

Other stores, like Best Buy, usually do it at like 3 and 4 am EST.

i was told years ago if any worker is caught doing that they would be fired on the spot. Its after xmas so they probally dont need many people anymore and will be more then happy to fire you

yeap go back and if you dont see it at 8am tuesday go back again a few hours later. I went last year when they first opened and then went back that night. They had around 15 games that wasnt out at 8am
 
Didn't see anything at the nearby TRU, but last year they had about nothing too, hopefully on Tuesday the ones further away prove to be better.

Hell, everybody does that at my store, even the managers. According to the store manager, it's okay to do as long as it's not blatant hording and there is still some left for the customers. Shipment before the last one of Wii's, he even gave employee's first crack at them. I was the only person interested, but I didn't want to drop the money.

I actually spoke to the CSR about this and he said all you have to do is bring in the receipt. You don't need to bring in the games or an ad or a flyer, just the receipt. He stated any new prices will all be updated in the system so I will get refunded accordingly. Though I still haven't opened up the games yet in case I am forced to return them if I can't get the refunds.

Why are Saturday's open until midnight? Do they mean this Saturday right now that just happened or the coming up ones?

It's so weird they don't open early to accomdate after Christmas shoppers.

Mine also shows 10:00 - 9:00 Tue - Fri.

The fact they open at 10:00 is awesome though since many people will already be at work.
