I rushed out last night to do more trade-ins because of the alleged fax that someone mentioned before (about not allowing double-dipping). I had no problem with it last night. Maybe that was a regional fax or something. There are good points and bad to having only one Gamerush within 200 miles (they don't get the latest info - which can be good or bad!).
I was finally able to preorder Zelda. Hopefully it is the right one and not Windwaker or Four Swords (the clerk said release in Nov., so I'm pretty sure it is the right one - the manager several days ago said he only had WW and FS in the system). I also picked up Untold Legends and took a chance and preordered Death Jr (I've read one blurb about it that seemed positive) since I couldn't think of anything else to preorder. I might go back and do a few of the Fall release PS2 games, or maybe Advance Wars or Fire Emblem (though the mixup with the GBA version menioned above might scare me off of that). This deal is so sweet - basically, I couldn't justify having my PSP without the ability to get the games for $30 (with even less, an average of $15, out of pocket). Does anyone know if Mario Baseball is in the system?
What was cool was that on Sunday I went in and glanced through the used games like usual, not expecting to find much. Up till now, there had been total crap there - mostly used rentals in beat up cases. Well, I found 2 (TWO) copies of Suikoden III. I checked them both out and one was a bit scratched so I left it but got the other, near-mint, one. The scratched up one was gone when I went in yesterday. What shocks me is that is seems likely someone traded both in at the same time, since neither was there just a day or two before. Very odd.
Another thing that I discovered (probably old news to most of you but I'm fairly new to the used game and trading process) is that I can simply swap them out the crappy blockbuster cases that they put everything in for my brand new (Target or TRU game) games that I plan to trade in later. So my Suikoden III looks minty fresh now. They are going to trash the brand new cases anyway, so I'll just give them their lockable cases back. I wish I had though of this earlier - I could have refreshed several of my Gamecube game cases!
One down note - I asked another clerk on my way out if I could have any of the game cases they get for tradeins (I know for a fact that they trash at least some of them - I saw them through the clear garbage bag one of the employees was carting outside). Eventually I will run out of things to trade in so I had wanted some nice cases for things I buy from there. He said (very dismissively) "Sorry - we use them for rental displays". Total BS - time to get more copies of Powerpuff Girls Relish Rampage from TRU for revenge

I will ask my local non-GR Blockbuster if they have any cases (I know I've provided them with several!).
