Sony b2g1 mail in rebate

I did this a few months ago, but the offer had different movies obviously, sent UPC for Casino Royale and Ghost Rider and got Black Hawk Down.

I did the last offer like this and it was actually really quick to get fulfilled unlike the five free offers. The things you have to cut out are the tiny little proof of purchase icons at the very bottom of the case. Can't be more than a square centimeter in the bottom left corner of the back.
Not bad. Unfortunately I've only got one of the movies on that list.
Well, the deal starts today...so having them before today won't help you much ;)

I did this deal last time and got Casino Royale pretty quick.

Might have to keep an eye out for deals on Superbad, RE: 3, and Dragon wars now

I bought Casino Royale today. So I'm still in luck. I may try to pick up Superbad as this basically turns into a BOGO free for me now.

Didnt see it mentioned yet, figured some people may be interested.

Buy 2 listed Sony blurays at a retailer, mail in the form with proofs of purchase, and pick a bluray from the list.

There is a fee of I think it was 2.99 for shipping and handling though.
Yup saw this in the Sunday paper. I've already filled it out for RE: Extinction (trilogy pack, $38.99 from Best Buy after Buy 3 Blu Rays get $20 off) and Casino Royale.

Bah, I hate cutting movie covers for deals like this. I'm a collector of stuff and I like to keep things in as good of a condition as possible. Even if it is just the small UPC on the cover. I'm not going to pass up a free movie (assuming I end up buying those qualifying titles soon), but I wish they could just think up a better way of doing these deals.
I have two movies from that list, but I bought them last month. Oh well.
Just buy them again, make a copy of the receipt and return them. Then use the UPC's from the blu-rays you already bought and fill out the rebate form.

A little hassle, but its probably worth a blu-ray for $2.99.

Just noticed that even though you pay for the shipping and handling, it still takes 8-10 weeks to get your movie. Damn.

I looked at the rebate form and it implies that both purchases must be on one receipt (in that no plurals are used for the word "receipt). The fine print states tht no photocopies will be accepted so I assume you have to mail in your original cash register receipt.
Did anyone who did this before send in two receipts?

I just got casino royale from Toys R Us and then Superbad from best Buy.
I'd like to know the answer to this as well. I got Casino and was going to pick up Superbad or another one that might be cheaper.

Crap. I forgot about this with finals and Christmas and all. Anyone know, did the last offer end on 31 Dec? I bought Casino Royal and Fifth Element so I could get The Patriot (I think it was). I can't believe I spaced it.

But I am still waiting for my 5 free BD and HD DVD, as well as my Wii gloves from Nintendo. What is it with all of this free stuff never coming? :(

I sent in 2 receipts from my amazon order on the offer that expired in Dec. I didn't have nay problems. In fact, my free movie arrived today

What are the odds this works when Casino Royale was the 2nd movie on my BOGO free from TRU?

I got Superbad for $9.99 from BB using the $20 off coupon.

Should I just buy another copy of both from BB and then return them or do you think I can actually get the free movie even though the movies were discounted when I bought them?

Both of mine were from Amazon BOGOs on two different reciepts from the last version of this deal and mine arrived at my door no problem.

Rebate form just says you need recipt between those dates and original cutout upc.
I dont think BOGO will cause any problem.
How exactly would this work if I ordered off Amazon/other online purchase?
use the order slip that came with ur blurays.

I answered my own question. Anyhow, also want to share that I found out that despite the new order forum that this is still the same offer...so maybe you should have another household qualify for the rebate.

Ok. Just to recap.

I have two different receipts, and one of them was from a bogo.... just go ahead and send them both receipts, both proofs, and payment?

The receipts must be original right?

Yes, and be sure to circle everything and make copies for yourself.

What is this $20 off coupon you speak of?

might use this next time amazon or somewhere has a BOGO deal, but there are only two movies on the list I really want

Have you guys gone to the website suggested in the rebate form?

www.checkmyrebate.com

There is no mention of this free blu-ray offer. Anyone able to shed some light on this? Just thought about checking before I send it out.

Just to clarify as it seems there may be some confusion, you can buy ANY blu ray movies, doesn't matter which ones or which studio.

The list there is just for the movies you get for free, not the ones you have to buy.

*I know it may seem simple to some, but I was a little confused at first and just trying to help spread some info

It states quite clearly that:

1.
Buy two Blu-ray High-Def movies listed below at any retailer between 1/6/08 and 2/23/08
2.
Select your FREE* Blu-ray High-Def movie from the same list (select 1st, 2nd and 3rd choice).

The rebate form I am looking at has as item 1: "Buy two Blu-ray movies listed below at any retailer between 1/6/08 qne 2/23/08." I sure wish it were any two because of all the Amazon BOGOs and the TRU BOGO.

I was beaten to the response!

Okay, I just realized that "Blockluster"(where i bought my copy Resident Evil : Eon BR) failed to ring it up as "Resident Evil: Extinction" but just as a Charge of $35.00(i know it is alot but I had a gift card i needed to get rid of .)

I am going to go by tomorrow and see if i can talk to the manager about it(he knows me because i am always in there because of Total Access and he rang it up.)

There's a ton of criteria to this one. I was hoping just the UPCs and order form would be enough. I got Casino Royal from TRU via BOGO and I plan to get Extinction via the Trilogy set... would these count for the receipts? I'm pretty sure in the BOGO receipt working, but not sure about the trilogy.

Hey same here.

Between now and 2/23 I'd say it is a safe bet that at least one of the movies on that list will drop in price or be on a BOGO. You can think of it this way though; If you have already bought one of the listed Blu-ray's then even buying one at $19.99 will get you a free one which would be like a BOGO in itself.

Nice...I bought Casino Royale from TRU, now I jus thave to find my receipt and buy another movie. At least they offer good movies with this deal.

I'd do that, but there are only two on there I can even think that I'd have in my collection that I don't own already or plan to; I think that the receipts are just there to prove you didn't steal the UPCs from the box at the store, if we have a receipt for the RE trilogy with the UPC cut-out of the Extinction box, I don't think they'll decline us on that fact.

i sent mines in yesterday... i got one more on the list and if i buy another one on the list, i'm entitle for another free BD. However, the question is, can you submit another one?

I think that I answered this earlier...but in short, no...but your parent's can if they have a different address...or a sibling, so long as there is a diiferent address, number, etc.

ah, sorry, didn't read the earlier posts, thanks for the info. I probably gonna do that like i did with my 2nd set of 5 free BDs...

No need to apologize, but thanks for the courtesy. I was just saying that I thought that I had written that, but it very well may have been another thread of similar ilk. Anyhow, yes, the policy here is despite the different set of expiration dates...what makes this one per household type deal is the same P.O. Box number on both offers (the current one and the expired one).

I'm a little confused about the rebate form. I'm getting Casino Royale and Superbad from Amazon and I want Resident Evil as my free movie. So do I mark that off as my first, second AND third choice? Or do I mark off the movies I bought as my first and second, and my resident evil as my third choice?
