Sony b2g1 mail in rebate
I'm a little confused about the rebate form. I'm getting Casino Royale and Superbad from Amazon and I want Resident Evil as my free movie. So do I mark that off as my first, second AND third choice? Or do I mark off the movies I bought as my first and second, and my resident evil as my third choice?
They'll know which movies you bought due to your receipts. You check which movies you want to get in order of preference. Like if they are out of stock on your first choice, they'll ship you your second choice.

Exactly as RyanFrost stated, so long as you send your rebate in earlier rather than later, you will most likely receive your first choice. Do not list the games you bought as the 2nd or 3rd choices unless you want a duplicate copy of them, in the event that your first choice is gone.

It's all packaged up with the two original receipts, one from TRU for Casino Royale and one from Amazon for Extinction via the RE Trilogy, I'll keep updated on if it was successful or not.

I'm so pissed with the previous b2g1 free deal. My first choice was Casino Royale which I didn't get, and would have been perfect for this new b2g1 free deal. Instead I got my third choice, which was underworld evolution. I know everyone will pick superbad as their first choice and they won't get it unless they are lucky.

sent it out today. hoping to get superbad, but i have a feeling many people did the same.

has anyone checked "checkmyrebate.com" for status yet? I just looked... seems there are different rebates for blu rays right now. anyone know anything about them?

anyone received any kind of confirmation and/or receive their free blu movie in the mail yet?

i've been checking, but the information is still the same. they are waiting for the mail in submission, which i have done a couple weeks ago.

anyone have results?

When they did the last one, it took about 4 weeks from beginning to end. About 2-2.5 weeks before my check was cashed, and then the rest of the time to ship out. And I did get my first choice, so that worked out well. Plus, I picked up the two movies for it on a B1G1, so I did well with the three movies.

This time around, the two movies I bought weren't on the B1G1, though they were about $41 shipped. Close Encounters is the one I want as first choice, because I want it and it's the most expensive one of the movies listed. :D

Are we looking at the same form? I don't see CE on there?
Are we looking at the same form? I don't see CE on there?
When I made my order a week ago, it was on the form. :whistle2:s

I'll have to double-check my form when I get home from work, though I remember seeing A Few Good Men and Click (the two movies I purchased) on the form as valid options, and CE as one of the options to get for free. :whistle2:s :whistle2:s

Found the fix to the problem. :D

This was from a pack-in of Sony promotional stuff with my Sunday paper a few weeks back, with this link to the site to order from:

Direct link to the mail-in form:
Ah nice. Thanks.

Im going to go for CE too then. Already bought two from this list.
No problem. I think Damages ends up being the best value, as it's the complete first season of the show, though for a single movie, it's CE as the best value.

I think I was going to do in order of preference, CE, Superbad and Surf's Up.
Thanks for the new form Shrike.
No problem. I knew something didn't look right with the form in the OP.

Ah didnt even notice that. Never heard of show before, but looks like it might be good. Decisions...

Hmmm, I like the new deal....MSRP on Damages is $80...wow! Too bad I bought Casino Royale on 1/12/08...so I have to use the original rebate (iif I buy a 2nd movie)

I got it via TRU with that crazy deal...so the receipt says $0.00 since it was B1G1 free. Honestly...it's not a big deal as I mainly rent (unless someone sees some really good deals on Blu-Ray again).

anyone have the old pdf, sneaky sony, they changed the offer
now it's 1/6 to 2/23

only 9 titles now, no CE, no damaegs

anyone have an older pdf with all the titles? and do you think it's still valid if you send the older version?

Still works for me - sure you are looking here? http://www.sonypictures.com/homevideo/bluraymailoffer_v3/SuperbowlFSIRebateForm.pdf

I just sent the above form in and requested Damages/Close Enc/superbad

Wow looks like I will be buying some Blu-Rays this week. I have really been wanting to watch Damages and this is a great way to get the series, especially since I am going to cancel my Netflix sub for dicking HD DVD around.

Thanks for keeping up with what all is free Shrike.

The original link in this thread didn't have anything I wanted, so I'm glad I had a better option out there.

I'm sending my form in tomorrow, for CE/SuperBad/Damages . Picked up Click and A Few Good Men from Amazon. It wasn't B1G1, though if I get CE or Damages, then it'll be worth it.
Damn... looks like its not working. I get the Sony "Oops, sorry" page. Anyone else?
Just clicked on Pooky's link that you quoted and came up OK for me.

They cashed my check. And I can now track the my rebate on line.

So it worked for me just fine when I used the RE Trilogy set receipt for Extinction and Casino Royale on the TRU BOGO; hopefully I got my first selection.

I did the same thing, Royale and Extinction.

Been a while now, and have noticed no change in the status of my order. It says "waiting for the mail in portion to be received" for the past couple weeks now.

I sent it in during the TRU BOGO.
You received an email or did you just go and check it?
No I just noticed the check cleared today so I figured I would check the status. On the site mentioned on the pdf.

I sent mine out a week or 2 after TRU BOGO, because I was waiting to put it and another thing out at the same time.

Looks like there is roughly a 6 day processing and shipping time.(from what the other user posted) Will update when I know.

EDIT- Also I bought Casino Royale w/ TRU deal, (I think it was the one I paid for, according to the receipt) but I bought RE Extinction as Blockluster at reg price w/ a gift card.

Ugh, can't get this to work. I think I may go purchase Casino Royale to go with superbad if i can get it to work. Picked up superbad from the b2g2 from game stop.

I'm guessing they should do something similar this time around.

Good luck but doubtful considering it is supposed to be NEW not used.(fine print)

I am not being impatience just stating that they have not shipped yet, although I had a strange circumstance that might cause the delay(when buy RE:E, because I wanted to pay part with a giftcard to finish it off and part with a my debit card the receipt didn't make any reference to RE:E just a Misc. charge of $35, i know alot but I had a giftcard and was ready to cash it out, so I had them print out a new receipt but the best he could do is an account history showing RE:E.) That might delay my order I am not too worried about it as long as I see some progress within a week.

I got an email response from a representative.

She said "8 weeks for processing."

Wow. Oh well, free is free.
2/23/08 makes this dead now. A couple days after I got a PS3 :(
Are you referring to the Sony B2G1 offer? (which doesn't involve the purchase of a PS3.)

If so, there is actually another version of that Sony B2G1 form. For that one, the receipt must be dated no later than 3/2/08 and must be received by 3/16/08. Try looking around the Sony site -- I will post a link if I find it. (I printed it earlier and filled it out already.)

*edit* Found it -- this is the link to the newer form with more choices good for purchases by 3/2:

I sent in two seperate rebates. Got one back, but the other got denied for being a "duplicate". They cashed my check on both. I've sent a couple of emails, but have not received a response. Is there a number where you can call them?
