Howdy,
I have had a PSP since launch and recently as I was updating my Firmware I pulled the system off of the charger to bring into another room. As I did the system turned off... Great... Upon trying to re-boot it I found that the system's power light would turn on for approx. 45 seconds, no screen light and no sound. I called tech support and their answer to me was that the internal software for the system itself has been hard-deleted. They now want to charge me 90 bucks to get it fixed... I understand I am not under warranty anymore seeing as I bought the system at launch but how is it even feasible that they can charge me for a software problem, it's nothing I could have even done unless trying to crack the body open and mod it...
After talking with the Supervisors in the department and rudely being treated with remarks like, "it's like a car warranty..." and after asking to be transferred to their superior "why, so he can tell you what I already told you?" I will not be purchasing anything by Sony ever again.
Has anyone else been rudely treated by this company, who I am sure we have all been loyal to for some time now?
