Heads up on this recently announced for U.S. and Canada MGS: Peace Walker PSP Bundle! Gamestop currently has it up for preorder for $199.99. The bundle includes:

  • “Camouflage” PSP-3000 system
  • Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker game on UMD featuring
  • Voucher for in-game content unlockable at the start of the game
  • 4GB Memory Stick PRO Duo
  • Premium carrying case
*though not on the website, other sites are claiming the bundle comes with a PlayStation Network downloadable movie voucher – title to be announced

This may be the thing to push me into buying a PSP, definitely an awesome set! No luck in finding any good deals for it, but that's what this site is for!

The God of War PSP bundle has the game in cardbard, no real case. I think I might get the big boss bundle. But man, the game comes with art book? Ah, I need all of the goodies without the duble dipping.

The CE of the Peace Walker game comes with art book, it's $49.99. The PSP bundles (big boss with 4gb stick or the regular one with 2gb stick) come with the game, but it's not the collector edition :whistle2:(

So, if you want the CE, then you're double dipping...
 
I think it's pretty stupid if the Big Boss Pack doesn't come with the CE. The US Gunmetal PS3 for MGS4 came with the LE of MGS4, which was a Gamestop exclusive otherwise. Let's hope that they tweak it and add the Japanese Premium Package strap, too. Is it me or was the CE not there a couple days ago?

And it was $50 for me. Pre-ordered it tonight. Paranoid about the cut-off. >_>
 
Someone please tell me that the back of this is branded in some way... I'm still getting it either way, I just want it to be. Anyway, guess I'm selling my current 3000 on ebay to get ready for this.

Good logic with the gunmetal gray PS3... But i'm guessing that since there's no gunmetal PSP, the Big Boss PSP bundle does not come with the Peace Walker CE, just the regular edition.

Just image there's another bundle, the gunmetal PSP with PW CE! That would be sweet... sigh, i'm confused as it is, i don't need another headache. So, what to do?!?! I don't want to double dip, but i want the Big Boss bundle and the CE version of the game!

But wasn't the Gunmetal PS3 something like $600 when the standard black PS3 was only $400? I don't think that is a precedent you really want to be repeated.

Hmmm, not to brag, but if the "exact" incident to be repeated, i don't mind at all... I ordered the $600 gunmetal PS3 and I got two of them for the price of one. I don't know what happened, but i'm guessing it had to do with people canceling and the excruciating pain of getting one pre-ordered (remember the certain limit a day thing? I don't remember the exact number, but Konami only allowed certain number of the MSG PS3 to be pre-ordered a day).

Anyhow, i still think a gunmetal PSP bundle is a treat for those of us have the matching PS3. It would certainly make the gunmetal PS3 more desirable. If that don't happen, one can always customize anyway :)

I'm still contemplating the Big Boss bundle. Man, only if the bundle comes with the CE of the game so people don't have to double dip to get the art book :whistle2:(
 
I normally don't buy bundles for systems I already own, but I think I'm going to have to get this. I was going to get the game, and I could use that 4 gb card and case. I figure that makes the system $120 for a new 3000, which isn't bad at all. I'm still keeping the old one since it's hacked, I love my emulators.

Um the Gunmetal PS3 DID NOT came with MGS4LE

It would be nice to see some pictures of this new alleged CE. If it's a crappy separate art book like they gave with MGS4 CE, I will probably pass. That thing was like a thin kids coloring book in quality.

I wonder how limited the Big Boss bundle is. I want to wait until E3 to see if they announce a PSP2 or a price drop of the 3000. But I wonder if that one to two week gap between E3 and the release of this will make it hard to find.
 
Why don't you go ahead and preorder it and pick it up on release. Just don't open it. Worst case, they do unveil a PSP2, and you could just take back the system, and if you paid cash and have you're receipt, you could get your money immediately.

If you click onto EACH individual System Bundle here on this AMAZON link it WILL show CASES for the games (EXCEPT for the BLACK - Ratchet Bundle). Yet NONE of these Bundles games had cases.

I highly DOUBT that its going to have a GAME case.

Not too high on the MGS Case there. I prefer this one.

Meh, I'd rather get the Big Boss pack and an actual Playgear Pocket.

And for a time, the Big Boss pack said June 1st, too. Somebody at G$ doesn't know how to read a calendar.
 
Not that I'm complaining about the price or the lack of the CE in the Big Boss pack, I just think it'd make sense so Metal Gear fans won't have to buy multiple copies of the same game if that's what we're into. At $200, it's a steal, really.

That's my dilemma too... The Big Boss should come with the PW CE or at least that elusive art book comes with the PW. That way i don't have to think too much putting money down for the Big Boss bundle.

Yeah that would've been nice, I just ended up preordering both.

I'm wondering what the read for this game is among collectors. There's a CE, two unique system bundles, an accessory pack... I'm wondering if this flood of "limited goodies" might affect their collective values.

BTW what's up with this "bandana" I keep hearing about... is that a GS preorder bonus as well?
 
Yes, the "bandana" is a GS pre-order bonus. You will get it from GS.com too (both PW an PW CE have that listed as a bonus item).
 
I would so get this, if I didn't already have a PSP 3000!

Now that the bandana is available with it, I might just have to pre-order the collector's edition instead. :)

Hmmm, may have to look into that accessory kit, I rather like it, but not too sure what to make of the face cover just yet...

Just paid off my Big Boss pack. I was either getting that or a DSi XL via the trade up but there's just more on the PSP that I wanna play this year, including imports. I guess I'm gonna hang onto my Metallic Red PSP-3000 that I got in China until this thing finally drops. At least it's only 2 months...
