There is only one girl that anyone can say is THE best with a straight face and that is the
incomparable, one and the only, Billie Holiday. She was the one to put female singers on the map and every female after her owe a huge amount of respect to her.
Have you ever checked out Baxter? Krom is another great trip-hop group if you dig it with a D'n'B flavor(who are produced by Baxter). Haulou is another great drum heavy group. And one more great D'n'B infused trip hop album that I wish more people to check out Ror-shak's Deep album, the song
A Forest on it is flat out phenominal on such an awesome album. Lamb is another great trip-hop group if you haven't checked them out before. If you dig the Bristol trip-hop sound, make sure you check out Crustation. If you want an Eastern sounding style of trip-hop, check out Antrabata. If you want one of the greatest American trip-hop albums of all-time, you have to check out Daughter Darling.
Though they are really not trip-hop but from what you listen to, I really think you would dig Moonraker. If you dig an electronic version of late 30's and early 40's female fronted lounge music, check out Chungking (The Hungry Years is in this vein and the new one Stay Up Forever is mostly in the vein of an 80's version of Ladytron with a bit more of pop but there is a few songs that go back to the sound of their first album). If you want a fusion of Folk and Electronica, check out Flunk (their new one
Personal Stereo is one of my top two non hip hop albums of the year so far. Morning Star follows in this vein but their first one is a bit more experimental but 100% good [the cover to Blue Monday is

ing awesome])
hopefully thats enough to get you started. You want some more recs, just hit me up.
edit: have you checked out Endless Blue's other album?
