Submitted all mine via PC. 15 days and still not a single code. 4 days and still no reply from support. Guess I'm just unlucky.

So the consensus is that mobile submission = ultra fast response, desktop submission = bleh correct?
I have done all mine (6) through desktop. They first 1 took a 4-5 days but everyone after that I've gotten within 12-18 hours.

Yeah, I honestly think it's probably a crap shoot, either way. I had great luck with a few submissions, and nothing yet with one submission after a week.

Submitted mine with desktop and have received all 8 of them in less than 12 hours. I submit them one a day around 8PM and receive the codes the following morning by 5AM. I am 8 for 8 with 2 more to submit.

Question for the people who resubmitted their receipts and finally got it, did you resubmit it freely on your own or did you send an email first asking the status and then they told you to resubmit it?

And is everyone redeeming their gift cards right after the purchase and then submitting a receipt for the $5 GC because I haven't redeemed mine yet since I haven't logged into XBL in a while, but I still submitted a receipt and no $5 GC.

I finally won at the scratch off, a 12m sub.  Now if they don't come through on the rest of my rebates then I'm good.

I asked before resubmitting and that's what they told me but seemed a pretty generic answer. I think a lot's just getting lost in the shuffle and that's probably going to be the only way to fix it. Also those that are submitting one at a time seem to be having slightly better success.

I didn't redeem either the cards or the $5 GCs until the other night when I needed to spend $40 on pinball tables. :headache:

I received an email saying I was denied for the promotion, even though I bough the cards and did an instore pickup for the physical cards. I asked them to review it since I did pick them up from a retail location, and since the system is blocking me from uploading the physical receipt.

Here was the response below.

"Thank you for your email.  Please refer to the official rules complete details.  Online purchases are not eligible for the promotion:

Has anyone else had problems trying to redeem a code that you won through this promo?  My 12m code states "something went wrong".

I purchased and submitted mine last Wednesday, and sent in a support request on Saturday. Got a response this morning saying it didn't qualify because I didn't spend $15, since I got mine from Target during the sale. Anyone else run into this? I feel like more people would be mentioning it if they had. One person earlier even mentioned using the RedCard discount and still getting it. I sent a polite but argumentative reply, stating that I don't believe that is how the rules are meant to be interpreted, but I'm considering just resubmitting too.
Just an update, I resubmitted last night and got a code this morning. Go figure.

I submitted 5 yesterday and got them this morning. I submitted one of them twice because it logged me out the first time and I wasn't sure it went through, but it doesn't seem to have caused a problem. I had already done one, so I need to decide if I really want to buy 4 more $15 cards. I wish there were a deal like this for PSN cash cards - I have plenty of XBL funds, but my PSN wallet is near empty.

I was having trouble submitting mine.  Turns out I forgot to have the store name in the photo.  I resubmitted and made sure the store name was visible and I got my $5 the very next morning.

Has anyone else had problems trying to redeem a code that you won through this promo? My 12m code states "something went wrong".
I've seen that many times outside of this promotion. Try redeeming it again until it works. If it's a problem with the code, you'll usually get a different message.

So weird this promo. Took the advice of submitting through mobile of my last target purchased discounted card. Submitted around 4 PM yesterday got an email 4AM today. Finally.

Now Im wondering if I should just resubmit my first one like Waneringer even though customer support never replied to my request status update email (been 4 days since I sent the email).

Just an update, I resubmitted last night and got a code this morning. Go figure.
did you just cross out the OG number? and you did this freely right because they told you the promo didn't apply?

EDIT: so we gotta redeem and spend these $5 promo credit by 12/31/14.

if you talking about redeeming through xbox website? If so then check your Xbox account. Mine kept saying that two when I redeemed mine 3 weeks ago but it did take and was applied no problem

Yep, definitely had a few problems with this. Wound up switching browsers and same thing.. tried it a few minutes later and it worked.

For a 12 month code, it gave me the error, too - but then I received an email that my membership had been extended. Go figure.

That's exactly what I did. I remember reading other people trying again with different numbers on the receipt by just essentially trying again from the beginning. If these are processed by human beings, I figured I had a decent chance at getting someone who had half a brain this time. There's a huge scribbled out mess right above the second number on mine, it's kind of hilarious.

And yeah, I just figured I had nothing to lose, as clearly the reason I was given isn't how the promo was meant to be run.

Well update on my freely on myself resubmission. I crossed out the OG number and circled the new number (I think circling is also key, didn't circle on my OG)  Did it it around 5pm yesterday and got it at 8am today. So happy I am finally done with this :whee:

Saw Wanderinger's success and said **** it what do I have to lose. They didn't want to answer me in the CS email anyway. And of course mobile worked 2/2 (both discounted target ones) for me so thanks to whoever suggested to do it that way. The desktop way is truly a crapshoot. Best of luck to everyone who still are in $5 limbo.

I also resubmitted my receipt yesterday and got the $5 today. I used the original code and didn't bother writing a new code on the receipt

Well after not getting an e-mail response from them I resubmitted my receipt from April 16th (Target Discounted Card) yesterday and got my $5 code this morning. Finally I can submit my other receipts haha!

What is needed to submit these receipts? I'll help whoever needs it as I'm not buying any points any time soon.

I can't resubmit mine due to "already submitting 10 receipts". Anyone have a workaround for this?
You could try registering another email addres and getting a fresh new 10 tries, but don't know if you want to take that chance. Or just keep spamming the CS until you get a resolution. Hope you and others finally get it. This promo is so moody lol.

I have a $10 BestBuy GC. I guess I can do worse than give this a try. $20 XBL for essentially $5 is not a bad deal. When does this deal expire?

Going to try this route. After a week with no email response, and 2 1/2 weeks since I submitted my requests ... time to roll the dice. Did you PC or mobile? My original requests were PC.

So after a week, here is the lame response that Helloworld gave me ...

We apologize for the delay in response while we looked into your inquiry. We have looked at your submissions. Unfortunately, the submission were not accepted due to legibly and/or eligibility. Please refer to the official rules for complete details. The submission must clearing show all the information, if the information is not legible the submissions can not be accepted.

Well, needless to say, there was nothing in the rules that would have made my submissions invalid.  And they are all crystal clear with the unique code clearly visible (no "legibly" problems.)  After waiting 17 days for my submissions to process, perhaps it would have been helpful if they had given me the specific reason that they were rejected.  Not to mention that it would have been nice for them to let you know that they rejected your submissions instead of just leaving you hanging.

I resubmitted all 5, so we will see what happens.  Problem is, their system now thinks that I have used all 10 of my submissions ... even though 5 of the 10 were their stOOPid rejections.

Said I already did 10 but only had 9. Used a different email for my tenth one. Will see in the morning if it worked.

Update: worked got my last one.

After resubmitting all 5 of my rejected receipts, 4 of 5 came back with codes. But one got rejected again. So I resubmitted a 3rd time, and final got the last code.

My target had the $15 codes for 11.26 (instant sub for halo reach it said)  Bought 2 x 3 and submitted all three receipts last night and all 3 codes were in my email this am.   Going to try to buy one at 11.26 and see if I can get the $5 code.

Still missing 3 of my last 4 submissions. Gonna wait until tomorrow (give them a full week to respond to my inquiry) and if I don't hear anything, I guess I'll just submit them with a different email address. Seems silly how poorly this is being handled. I'll stop at 10, just because I don't need to have any more Xbox Live credit. But if someone wanted to, they could easily use multiple email addresses and submit the same receipts over and over again, couldn't they?

I am 1 of 1 right now; I did a mobile, waited 3 days and did a PC with the same receipt (that was yesterday). I got the code by this morning. I think I am going to go the PC route for the rest. Submitted my second this morning, will let you guys know.

Thought everyone would be interested in this reply from them:

Thank you for contacting us.  Your entry was not accepted because your purchase did not equal $15 or more.  Per the rules:

1.    Validate that the following items were purchased:

Xbox Live Gold Membership ($15 USD or more before tax), OR
Xbox Gift Card ($15 USD or more before tax)

Your cards were only purchased at $13.50 a piece, therefore they are not eligible for this promotion.

If you need further assistance, please feel free to reply to this email.  Have a great day!

Sincerely,
Stasia

I should add, I purchased a total of 8 cards from Target while they were on sale.

Submitted 1 - Received the next day.

Submitted 3 - Received the next day.

Submitted 2 - Not received (these are the two I inquired about).

Submitted 1 - Received the next day.

Submitted 1 - Not received.

I just resubmitted one of them with a different email address (before I received this response). We'll see what happens. I guess it all comes down to whether or not an actual person happens to review your receipt or not.

It took about 24 hours to get my first (and probably only) code. I'm not going to sink to the level of scamming them.
I have no idea what you mean by that. You are allowed to do 10. I can understand if you only want to do one, but who said anything about scamming?

Are you implying that getting more than one is scamming them? The promotion specifically says 10 per person is allowed. I haven't seen anyone here mention any intent to get more than what the rules allow.

I know the rules allow 10 per person. That's not what I was referring to. Submitting a receipt for less than $15 multiple times in the hopes it will slip through, however...

To my knowledge, I was the first person in this thread to receive a message from them stating that the total amount spent needs to be $15. The rules do not make that extremely clear:

i. Purchase an Xbox Live Gold Membership or an Xbox Gift Card:
During the Promotion Period, purchase an Xbox Live Gold Membership or an
Xbox gift card (for $15 or more) from a retail location
I assumed that the value of the item purchased needed to be $15 or more, not that the amount you spend needs to be $15 or more. In addition to that, it seems like most of the people, including myself, that submitted receipts for discounted cards (either on sale or because of a store credit, etc) received their $5 without any problems. This caused many of us to assume it was acceptable.

As I stated, I resubmitted one of mine before they had replied to me. I waited a full week, when they said they would get back to me within 3 days. I wasn't trying to do anything sneaky.

I consider myself a pretty honest person, so I don't really think it's right to toss "scammer" around so quickly.
