Spring Update 08 **May Fools No Update >_>**

I'd like to see a gifting feature for XBL content similar to what's available on the Wii (funny to think that XBL should pick up a Wii online feature). I've got some people that don't have the MS points for some levels I'd like to play with them.

I thought about that too espically because of having the odd number of points left after you buy something I got like 70 points right now I would love to gift taht to someone and maybe give them a more even number or something

Oh, I support this campaign. I'd also like a gifting option for Arcade games, if possible (damn Lumines).

Seriously. How much more money would Microsoft make if they let kind souls like us buy content for other people? This is really a no-brainer. Little effort on their part for a lot of reward.

hehe maybe add xbox 360 achivements like special achivements for doing things on ur xbox system like non game related. And rare achivementes like being on when the live is 5ive thingy

I wish they would fix all the stupid menus I have to go through. They changed it with the last update but all they did was add an extra step to teh process of me finding my demos. The point is to require LESS steps to find your content.

And yes, clan support is a must at this point.

I'd dig "Hobo Feeder Extraordinaire" (giving lots of points) and "Cheap Bastard" (giving less than 10 points) achievements. ;)

I'd like to have an option on the dashboard, similar to picking your default game difficulty that they have now, that allows you to say stop asking me if I have a HARD DRIVE! lol

Like many people mentioned, I want .mkv support. More than that, I'd like to see support for .idx/.sub and .srt. I'd love to get rid of the PC in my entertainment center.

Yeah, that's annoying as hell.
I wish they would put a browser up... but then again!
yea its not like we don't have the keyboard and mouse and we have chat pad and analog sticks for mouse

This might sound a bit left-field but I'd like to see a Remote Desktop server program added to the 360. Fire up your Remote Desktop client on any PC and connect to your 360 remotely to stream stuff from the media library, message people on your friends list and download things from the marketplace. I already use Remote Play on the PSP/PS3 for similar purposes.

One change I really want, that's probably already been mentioned is the ability to turn off the friend is online pop ups without also turning off the achievement earned pop ups.
Well, this KB article about fixing the DRM issues is a load of crap. I got my console back yesterday, and the first thing I did after I plugged it in was go to my Download History and redownloaded my XBLA games. Switched over to my wife's account and they're not unlocked.
Did you try that method with your wife's account. I don't know if it would be under her history though, I just have one account on my box. I'm assuming if she played the full version that it might be under History, if not, yea that's a series thing to fix.

I just want to get rid of all games on my Achievements list with 0 points (except Quake II). I'm tired of the extra scrolling getting through all the launch XBLA titles where I never even played the full game.

forgot to say, and it's a total rip-off, but XBLA game gifting would be nice. It works better in XBLA due to if you want to play online with a friend but they don't have money or the game, you can then just buy it for them.

I hear that if you delete the game files from your 360 that will clear it.

Really? This will take it off of the achievement list/gamplayed?

Yeah, this is what I'm most worried about if/when my Elite fails. My wife's going to be pissed, and frankly, so will I. There's no excuse for not having this DRM issue resolved at this point.
Really? This will take it off of the achievement list/gamplayed?
That's what I heard. Let me check...

nvm... I checked and it's still on xbox.com for games I deleted.

I hadn't though of that, so I just tried it. No luck. Her history only shows what was downloaded under her account.

This isnt one i want really bad but could be easily implemented is a online storage of 1-5 gigs. Even there MSN/Live have 5 gigs of storage for FREE. Easily have pics/movies/ect saved onto it.

Also another is to have Xbox.com's Live calender somehow implemented onto the Live side.
http://www.xbox.com/en-US/community/calendar/?WT.svl=nav
Could prove very usefull/Easier to use and would be used alot more especially for older games where you can never find anyone or the less popular titles.

I have alot more ideas but im just throwing up a few that are "Different"

Wow, you make a great point about the online storage. I'd love to upload my save games in case something happened to my HDD. And MSN/Live is free i believe and here we are paying $50 a year.

i remember hearing on major nelson's podcast how one feature that people have been asking for for awhile is going to be added. Makes me thing that multiple people in a chat might be coming.

I like that you can donate points. finally people can trade points here on CAG then.

also this makes me very happy... my biggest gripe since I have so many XBLA games:

5. Preload Games Library upon dashboard bootup for faster access.

this is also nice:

14. Option to change text colors on guide to better contrast some backgrounds.

If that list is fact in the end that is sweet. The two main ones I really liked were:
11. Option to see what items will not work offline due to DRM license changing from Memory.

12. Option to automatically associate new DRM to items downloaded for free.

Ah yea it was a pain in the ass to have to do this manually (see which games worked by unplugging Ethernet cord) and an organized download history is a no brainer if you lost your last system or went for an Elite. How come #12 only works with free content?

Got rid of my two big annoyances:

- deleting 0 point games (from when demos were listed)
- loading the games library at launch.

The nice rumored additions for update:
1. Option to delay sign-in to Xbox LIVE upon booting console (to allow user to set Online Status).
15. Better organization of free content on Marketplace.
23. Option to disable invites from non-friends or all players.
25. Option to have smaller items moved up in Active Downloads.
It would be nice to have an exceptions list for disabling things for anybody not on your friends list, so that you could decide to allow or continue to block those that send you invites or whatever. Despite that, it's still missing stuff I've posted before in this thread.
