Pan's Labyrinth

I didn't expect it to be as good as it was. Though there was one thing that bugged me about it plot-wise, it was still great.

Where the girl picked the wrong door, despite what the fairies were pointing her to. I could understand the food, what with the camp they were at. I just can't understand why she would pick a different door, and why it didn't seem to make a difference. Best I could come up with was it one of the tests, that she have a will of her own. Still bugged me.
watched Borat.....great movie. I'd give it an 8/10.
eh, i wouldnt say great. id say mildly entertaining. imo, 99% of it was hype. the whole premise was reflectant of MTV's Jackass. funny if youre a 16 y/o delinquent. but otherwise not that illuminating.

Wait, did you go into Borat expecting an art house indie flick?
Repo Man
Kick ass movie. Saw that on a whim and since then have bought it on DVD and watched it numerous times. Great soundtrack as well.

well he has said he used the film to try to show racism/antisemitism in the US; but it just came off crude. his Ali G persona is even more subdued.

take idiocracy for example, a ridiculous film all in all; but it did a great job of showing just how unfocused the country's becoming & still funny. fox only showed it in a couple cities for a weekend or two though & only because mike judge had it in his contract. there was absolutely no advertising for it. im guessing fox didnt like its message since it reflected bad on many of newscorps sensationalist properties; but they were obligated to release it due to mike judge's king of the hill contract. fox also put out borat & it was one of the most heavily advertised movies. see a pattern?
