When I was at the one on 5925 N. Illinois Road / Fairview Heights, IL most the people walking out were walking out with nothing. I thought about getting a 3d tv from there but all of them were still really high and just said 3d ready. I have not read much up on 3d tvs so was not sure about the 3d ready stuff. Also want to get one of them that you can use the movie theater glasses.
Anyway I still see stuff being there when they hit 50 and 60% off however it will all be upto as the tvs were only 10-20% off when I was last there.
Also I found out why the Walmart in Woodriver IL has copies of Marvel VS Capcom 3 Special Edition instock still. They have now 4 of each system and it was because they found a box of them they didn't know they had. So if anyone is still looking for them they are now down to 4 on each system and it is the woodriver IL walmart.
If the "3D Ready" ones were Mitsubishi DLPs, then what that means is that you have to buy a $400 kit that comes with a converter box and 2 glasses. I've never seen the kits go on sale and I'm not sure where you can buy extra glasses and I'm not sure if any of the 3rd party ones work with Mitsubishi. Another thing to keep in mind is that the converter box only allows for only one 3D Source. So if you have a PS3, Xbox 360, DirecTV w/ 3D and a 3D Blu-Ray player you would probably have to keep switching them out depending on what you want to do. Sony has a similar thing for some of their TVs, but I think it's just an external IR thing. I haven't really looked into the Sonys because they're so expensive.
SamsClubs in St Louis do sell passive LED 3DTVs from Vizio. The ones I've seen at the St Charles store cost about $999 (42 inch) and come with four pairs of glasses. SamsClub also sells them in a multi pack for $150 or something like that, but apparently Real3D glasses work just fine.
However, the reviews of it kinda turned me off.

It seems that for the time being active glasses + plasma is the best way to go and that's what I ended up doing (my 42" Panasonic cost $799). I'm sure Passive 3D will get better this year.

Also, the St Peters Borders has started their Store Closing Sale. I'm not sure when Chesterfield and Ballwin start to shut down, but it's probably pretty soon.
Edit: I don't know if anyone is still looking for the Marvel vs Capcom 3 SE, but the Wal-Mart in St Charles has 3 for Xbox 360 and 4 for PlayStation 3.
