Putting this here in the DVD deals because some people might miss it from the main deals page in the Fry's thread. These are EXCELLENT prices...the ST:TNG sets debuted at 129.99 years ago, and to get hours of good tv for 30 bucks each is quite good IMO. I love the show, and so I'm sharing this for all who feel the same way.

My Fry's had these set up on a table yesterday with paper signs that said it would only last through today, so any who missed this deal from the main page and love either show, I suggest checking it out.

Also, try PMing at a Circuit City if your CC carries ST:TNG, because mine had seasons 1 and 3 still marked at 129.99, so I saved an extra 10 bucks after the PM...their website has it for 60 though so its possible your stores might have the newer lower price already. Still, 30 bucks is a steal for ST:TNG and 20 is a steal for X-Files.

Hope this helps people who missed this off the main page.

Pricematch at CC and get the 110% pricematch guarantee. Should make its 20 bucks or so for each TNG set. Which is insane. I would have gotten all the seasons but CC didnt have any of the sets but if yours does do it.

Damn, that is a good price for Trek. I picked up the 7 seasons box set at Overstock $265 shipped a while back, but this deal even beats that.

i dont know how this fry's place stays in business it seems like they practically give DVDs away with their sales

Yea...its even cheaper if you avoid seasons 1 and 2 because they really do suck quite hard...the only urge I have to eventually get them is from a completionist standpoint...otherwise there are only 2 episodes out of the two seasons that I'd like to have.
Damn it! I hate not having a Fry's In or around
Ditto. I'd clean up on X-Files :(
Ditto. I'd clean up on X-Files :(
amazon has put xf on sale for 19.99 before

it will happen again soon

florida!!! :( anyone think CC will pricematch online? the sets are 5 dollars more +7 shipping... would really like to grab a few of these in store.

God damn it! Closest Frys to me is I believe in NJ! I'd probably max out my card on this deal. Cheapest I've seen TNG for is 46 bucks at Sams
Man, there needs to be a Fry's in Virginia.
Yes, yes they do! I never even bother reading the Frys deal thread in the gaming forum because I know I'd get aggrivated that there are none here...

EDIT: It does look like you can buy them online from them though. Go to www.frys.com then on the left frame theres an icon for Outpost.com, and I guess they have their store set up there. Shipping would probably kill you though

Caved in and got Seasons 1 and 2 to complete my set. Ended up PMing 1,2, and 3 at CC for even cheaper deals, and got the last 4 for the 29.99 from Fry's itself.

Total for entire run on DVD = $200.34

Awesome deal considering I was going to buy them full price upon release way back when.
I know, thats why stores try to have the cheapest prices on new releases. but with sites like this, its clear that many people are only buying the dirt cheap dvds from them and going elsewhere for whatever else they want
disagree

many people go in for a good price on a DVD box and end up getting an iPod, or a home theater system, or a fridge

they even design the stores to guide you through more expensive items on your way to the loss leaders

fry's has been open a long time

they wouldn't still be open if their business model was faulty

CAGers clean up b/c they are too smart to fall for such tricks

most of the planet is much stupider than the average CAGer

I went yesterday and picked up Seasons 1-4. Should have picked up the entire run of the show when I was there on Friday, but alas no money. They were sold out of seasons 5-7. I was talking to a manager there and he said that it was a crazy good deal/sale and they sold tons and he mentioned that he hoped that they would do it again in the future since they were really banking on it.
