Group Buys - Updated 05/20

Several multiplayer Steam games are available in 2-packs or 4-packs. These packs offer a discount over buying multiple copies of a game separately. We also maintain group buy trade threads for several games, so please use those threads if you're interested in setting up a group buy.

Free Stuff
There are several free games and mods on Steam. These are a few choice ones; you can find a full list here. Note that free games are not permanently attached to your Steam account like actual purchases would be. You'll need to manually download a game again from the website if you uninstall it.
Past Special Sales
Visit www.steamgamesales.com to check previous sale prices on Steam games. We do keep track of some older sales here though:

Bully is really fun, but it does get repetitive after awhile-- especially when you go for the 100%. After getting 100% on 360, there isn't much/if any replay value.

If you don't own the Max Payne games yet, stop reading this and go buy them. They are both excellent games, and for under four dollars for both of them you have no excuse to not own them.

I want Bully so bad, but at the same time I have so many games in my backlog.... damnit I told myself I wasn't going to buy any more games until I finished my backlog!!

Also why isn't Red Dead Redemption on PC yet!!!

I hate to say this, but don't buy the PC version of Bully. It has all kinds of issues with it. Because of that, you will get a bad impression of a wonderful game. If you have a 360, buy it on that. I swear to you, you will not regret it.

I dunno I put in 2 hours and it seems to run well for me, maybe they fixed it? Anyways I'm used to the ps2 version and this one looks and runs better for me atleast. I love Bully there's something about the game I just love so maybe I'm biased.

I played Bully for the ps2, and enjoyed it, but never played the newer scholarship editions, would you say it's worth the 3.74?

Hey guys, Ive got an extra copy of Monday Night Combat with the Cardboard tube samurai skin from PAX East. Anyone wanna trade?

I have nothing to trade but I'd like the code :bouncy:

Did you play the game fully patched? The initial PC release was terrible, but the patch improved performance massively.

I had a hard copy of Bully SE (since Goozexed) that I ran unpatched on my PC and it was horrible. I've heard that the current version is much better. I'm gonna see for myself on Steam.

fucking ninja'd!

Got Bully for Steam. It's not my kind of game normally, but it's not as "adult" as other Rockstar games. Looking forward to checking it out more. Wish I could raise the graphics without slowdown, but my gaming computer isn't much of a beast.

If I already have Bully Scholarship Edition for Wii, is there any point to picking it up for the PC? Any added content on the PC or would it run better on the PC?
So does Bully run fine now or is it still having issues?
Running fine for me! You should play it with a 360 pad if you have one, the PC KB&M controls suck.

Would anyone be interested in buying some of my extras off the potato pack? It looks like they just halved the price of everything so I would be willing to sell them at 75%(original price). My games that I would have duplicates of (and the prices I would be selling them for):

Everything claimed
New Deal!.... Grand Theft Auto Classics for $7.49!!!....
Yep. A few are on sale individually as well which is nice.

Grand Theft Auto Classics Pack = $7.49
 • Grand Theft Auto
 • Grand Theft Auto 2
 • Grand Theft Auto 3 = $2.49
 • Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas = $3.74
 • Grand Theft Auto: Vice City = $2.49

I'm thinking about picking up GTA3 and VC. I enjoyed the atmosphere in VC on the PS2, and I remember good things from the first PS2 game. I've got San Andreas from something else, so I could save a whopping $2.51. I doubt I'll even play the first two, but...I may still end up getting the whole pack for completion's sake.

I mean, $1 a game? Even if I never play them...
in for the GTA Classic pack, I wonder how well they run on Win 7 64 bit.... guess I'll find out
I have heard they have some issues.

Bully runs fine. Depending on how powerful your computer is, it's got shadows and things you can beef up.
damn was really hoping for a gta4/EFLC deal :( lol
Those will most likely be on sale tomorrow for the last day of the sale.
damn was really hoping for a gta4/EFLC deal :( lol
I'm guessing they are saving that one for last. The only Rockstar games on Steam that were not marked down today or yesterday are GTA IV, Episodes from Liberty City, Manhunt, and Midnight Club 2.

Was gonna buy vice and San And figured I would get the rest of the games for a buck more.

How is the controller support with 360 controller? Any way to use it?
Picked up this pack since ive never played a GTA game before. I know, right?
My advice is to start with 3, then progress up to San Andreas. That way you'll appreciate the improvements as the games came out.

i agree. i bought this pack a long time ago.i had already played gta 3 on ps2, but i replayed it on steam. for some reason i skipped vice city and played san andreas after that. both great fun games that you can zone out too. but then i decided to try gta 1 and 2. and holy crap are they bad. dont even bother installing gta 1 and 2. i guess they were made to have an arcade-feel to them, but its just really hard to control and navigate. gta 3 is the true start of the series. its my fault for thinking gta 1 and 2 would feel like gta for gameboy advanced, which was a hell of a lot of fun. though gta chinatown wars wasnt fun for me for some reason. now im just rambling...

Would like to know this also.

Alright thanks guys I'll keep that in mind, though I probably will just look at 1 & 2 out of curiosity

I thought GTA2 was great. I got it a few months after it released on PC and I had a blast with it back then. I still have my original disc copy and I still play it from time to time. The radio stations crack me up.

Don't write it off as a bad game just because the graphics aren't that great.

Man, GTA 1 was AMAZING when it came out. You just need to realize this was 1997, gaming wasn't what it is today. Still an enjoyable game, it's just not really what GTA has come to be today. Same basic idea but distilled to its simplest form. Kids these days...
So does Bully run fine now or is it still having issues?
Once you enable 60 fps then you're good to go. Makes a hell of a difference instead of just 30fps.

Go here to get it.

Sweet, in for the GTA Classics pack!

For those who don't know, GTA 1 and 2 are only available in the pack because they're otherwise free through the Rockstar website, along with Wild Metal.

Does anyone know if the GTA games will work on Windows 7 64 bit? I know it's just $7.50 for the collection, but that's what my laptop runs on.
