Is there one for PoorAssGamers who fakeybro games because they lack impulse control? Asking for a friend...
I'm looking more for a LazyAssGamers who don't want to fakeybro or even pay all that much for their games, but always seem to be Gilbying bundles, sales and glitches.

I just noticed Killer Instinct is on the Windows Store now, apparently released about a month ago. Anyone try it yet? I'll give it a go when I get home even though I'll probably get my ass handed to me since I suck at fighters.
Are you sure you want to actually play it and not just bitch about UWP and Win10? (Don't actually mean you specifically, just seems like there's a lot of backlash (lots of it deserved) against MS)

The UWP games run fine for my needs so far, but not for my preferences.

Also if you want to add Windows Store games to Steam, I'm working with another dev so that they can be added easily. The latest version of such app is available here: http://steamfix.blogspot.com/2016/03/windows-store-add-apps-as-non-steam-game.html

I agree with Carl, while it wouldn't be my preference, so far I haven't run into any issues where it hinders my game play. If it were on a game where I'd want to use mods like Elder Scrolls or if I ran SLI or something like that then maybe I'd complain but eh, it's fine for me for now.

They'll probably look into changing it as they add more and more AAA games as the market was originally intended for mobile apps where the UWP isn't really a concern. Anyway, I'm not going to bitch about something in principle if it's not actually causing me any hindrance.

Also inb4 MysterD writes some long ass rant about Windows 10 exclusives and UWP yadda yadda.

Is $11.99 a good price on Cities:Skylines? I can get that price on Greenmangaming now, but would I be better off waiting for sub $10?
If you're going to be playing it now and playing it regularly, yea $11.99 is fair. If you're going to backlog it, then no harm in waiting since it'll prob hit 66% or 75% at some point within the next few months. 66% is $10.19 so its not a big difference.

Thanks. I need something to replace my Civ5 addiction so hopefully I'll be playing it a lot.

*Edit: It's a 22GB download if anyone cares but probably only MysterD does.
Downloaded it a bit ago to my W10 Gaming Laptop, but I ain't even played it. Been lazy.

Too busy w/ mostly Fallout 4.

I'd rather the games at the very least be here on the PC than not at all. Definitely not a fan of W10 Store having their own Exclusives (hey, I prefer Steam and find it very PC-centric + PC-friendly - don't we all?). Definitely not a fan of all the stuff I've been hearing about UWP (lack of modding, lack of PC features, some games with performance issues, and other stuff).

Hopefully, Microsoft can work-out the nonsense and not have another G4WL (or something way worse) on their hands here...

Speaking of, if anyone missed out on the Rocket League sale, I have two copies one copy available from a Bundle Stars 4-pack at 5% coupon maple syrup cost ($30.68/4 = $7.67 per).

All gone.

So I can't be arsed to nose around the dark web for information on this, so does anyone know why the Windows Store would say I need to upgrade my Windows 10 to Windows 10? I clicked on that Killer Instinct link and the Free button is ghosted and there is a message that says that in order to use that app I need to upgrade my Windows. Any thoughts?

It depends on your version. A few other games like Rise of the Tomb Raider and Quantum whatever with one of the Ashmore twins is like that too.

Go to Windows update and see if there's an update available and download it. If you turned off updates then you'll have to manually push one through to use the AAA Win10 games.

Sounds like it's working as intended...

The local nightly news just announced that Steam is now having Lionsgate movies available like it's some big deal. I'm sure they only did it because Valve is a local company.

stahp wiff deez mooveez n veearrrr n soffwhere

I could maybe understand if the movies were buy to own, so maybe some people might want to have their library of games and movies in one place. I don't at all understand renting them on Steam though, there's no advantage over renting them anywhere else.

Sort of posted it above, but Bundle Stars has Rocket League 4-packs for the same price as the Steam weekend deal, plus an additional 5% off with the code gimme5 (entered at checkout). Slightly better then, and maybe a historical low if you can find a host from North of the Border?

*wink*

Meh. Until they start bundling them for a like a dozen interesting movies (to own) for $5, I just don't care.

Wait wait... you don't even get the movies?  You're simply renting them?  WTF?  Is this 1998?

Think I've played through Mirrors Edge Catalyst (beta) and I'm moderately impressed. I still have things left to do, but I'm probably not going to go back in. I believe it ends today (26) at some point.

I enjoyed my time with it for the most part, but I can't say I'm moved to purchase it on release. Its very similar to the original game and while there seems to be more to it, I didnt feel that there was enough to justify making that decision outright. The city still suffers from the same problem as the original game in that it is just so antiseptic and does not feel alive. I did like a few of the core missions I got to play, but found myself bored shitless by the side missions and there's probably a ton of them in the full version. I did really liked the music a lot though and it was a standout in a lot of ways. Overall, it will probably end up being fairly well received especially technologically, but as a whole game it may be a bit shallow. One thing that is markedly improved from the original game is combat though, so thats a plus.

Yeah, no, that's not it. Sorry, you must be a little too sober this evening.

There are a few updates pending, although nothing critical. I'll give that a go.
Specifically those new AAA games require version 1511 (the November update) or higher.

If you click more it's in the fine print of the requirements.

MINIMUM SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

  • OS: 64 bit Windows 10 – version 1511

Well, it was still doing it this morning and I installed every pending update except one for my graphics card. I don't know why I wouldn't have the latest version of 10 at this point. Where do you check to see your version?

This happened to me when I tried to install Quantum Break. It's basically the version of Windows 10 you are running needs to be updated. Windows Updates were all done on mine.

To fix it run the Windows 10 installer from their site. Just choose to upgrade your existing OS and all of your stuff will be safe and it will bring you up to the proper version.

so its a 48 hour rental that I can watch anytime in the next 30 days?  does a timer start as soon as you watch it for the 48 hours or do you have it rented for 30 days?

Watch this 48-hour rental any time in the next 30 days
