Where'd you buy MGS: TPP?

MGS V: TPP + Ground Zeroes combo is 16.66 pounds (which Google says is around $22.12 USD) on GamesPlanet UK for a few more hours:

That's where I got it.  $20 was about my buy point and it was in no hurry to get there on Steam.  Discounts on it have been terrible.

Didn't list GZ because I already owned it and gave the key away.

Nice score! :)

I'm still waiting for all of this to get cheaper - but this is the best deal so far I've seen for MGS5 GZ + TPP.

Oh yeah, I did gift more copies of Blood and Bacon than I care to disclose.

Also, two more things:

1.  If something shows it was made with Unity Personal, should that be on sale on Steam?  I thought you had to upgrade to sell commercially?

2. Wick is a jump scare horror game that actually made me jump last night.  Very hard for me to do usually.  I recommend it if you are a jump scare fan.

What do you look for in a horror game? Jump scares? Story? Weiler's mom?
Usually prefer something slow and atmospheric but jump scares can be fun. I ended up grabbing Wick and Lakeview Cabin Collection. I typically don't know exactly what I'm looking for in Welier's mom but the main appeal there is that you never know what you might find.

Those two are good. Lakeview is comedy and horror and is fun. Wick is pretty fun. You have the Penumbra games?

Can't make more than $100k, but yes, you can sell with Personal.

My "Haul"

Millie - Free from tremor

Shadow of Mordor - Undisclosed amount from Blade

and

Half Life 2: Episodes 1 and 2 (had OG from a physical collectors edition) - <$2 gabenbucks

what can I say, I played them on 360 off of a borrowed copy of Orange Box and never bothered getting then on steam until now, thanks "Complete your collection!".

Was going to get the Valve Complete Pack to get a few other things I was missing, but fuck ing Condition Zero has to be $10 and jacks up the price.........

EDIT: Does spoilers mess up fuck or something... EDIT2(really 3): guess I added the "ing" too close or something.

Good thing I posted that MGSV TPP deal 6 days ago. Scrubs

Still seems a bit overpriced...tho CD Cheese had it for $19.xx a few days ago.

I'd rather save that money toward I Am Setsuna

Uh, I got Sinful Eden aka [customspoiler=Panty Panix]
102eD97.png
[/customspoiler], some other crap, and bought enough Gs in Marvel Heroes that I should be run out of CAG on a rail and never allowed back in.

I suppose it's also worth noting this is the first Steam sale since cards were introduced prior to the summer 2013 sale that I haven't crafted a sale badge of at least level 1. It was such a non-event and I just didn't give a shit so I took the 6 cents (after Valve fees) on each card and just called it good.

Guess Ill share my Summer haul:

Craft the World

Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII

Fallout: New Vegas UE

Microsoft Flight Sim X

Flying Tigers: Shadows Over China

Star Wars: Rogue Squadron 3D

Depth

Ultimate General Gettysburg

Ryse: Son of Rome

L4D 2

Shovel Knight

Learn Japanese to Survive

Dishonored

Evoland

Golf With Your Friends

Ibb and Obb

Spent $72 total, but not all on these as some of these were gifts and I bought gifts for others.  Pretty happy with my haul, but ended up with more on my wish list then I came in with haha

Right, so shady shit goes down and Valve only gets off their ass when the media gets wind of it, runs the story and makes them look bad. Business as usual for Valve.
Well, It's in Valve's best interests to enable those sites, while staying as far as possible legalwise. :p

I've been exclusively console gaming lately, but I managed to play a little catchup and grab some games that were on my wishlist before my depart seeing as how prices have dropped a bit now. Unfortunately I'm between jobs, and there's some newer games I want, but I have a strict

Is that the site of which we do not speak? I missed the Shadow of Mordor GOTY glitch so $4 seemed like a good deal to me. And Dead Rising 2 OTR was $2.50 which is hard to pass up.

EDIT: That's actually a legit question. I know G2A was controversial but people still used it when it first emerged. I don't see people talking about the site any more in this thread though.

fuck

Also I wanted an excuse to use my shocked avatar.
Ah. Yeah, I knew that. Charging us for a warranty, while still charging a "service fee" is very shady. The games I wanted were cheap enough though. I didn't bother using G2A Shield. I don't think I'd risk buying a $5+ game from them.

That's kind of missing the point though. It's effectively a fence for lots of fraudulent and illegal activity.

Dat G2A Shield.

Or as I like to call it, Digital Protection Money.

You just know a site is legit when they charge you to guarantee you actually get what you paid for.

Oh yay I love when this topic comes up
Yeah, but even as dubious as their business practices are, you don't see high ranking people in their company showing up on these boards, talking trash and "not" threatening participants here.

(O Brave New World, that has people in it!)

Final Bro Tip as the sale winds down:

Make a new category called Summer Sale 2016.  Mark all your purchases with that category. That way you #NeverForget but can also conveniently go there in case your like me and want to make it a point to play your most recent purchase.  I've played a tiny bit of almost everything I've bought so far.  Now to the point where I need to decide which one I'm going to play seriously first.  Thinking it will be Firewatch.

To be honest, I didn't even click Motoki's links until a minute ago. I get it. I just ripped off some devs and supported thieves. I'm sorry. It seemed like a valid site for people to buy/sell keys secondhand, which didn't seem any different than buying games from the trading thread here, especially if you vouch to not do the Shield crap.

Oh yay I love when this topic comes up
Then put something in the first post that says to not talk about it. I've been out of the loop so I missed all the other times this topic has come up, no matter how frequent it may be.

Thank god that "terrible" Steam sale is over.

On a side note my Steam Wishlist went from around 60 down to 13.

In all seriousness though, I've been working a lot of OT lately so I decided to go a bit nuts this time....and I did. :)

(I have no idea how to do "the spoiler" button, apologies.)

The BEEP bug on the Platformer bundle (BEEP added to cart even if you own it) got fixed right when the sale ended, presumably because BEEP and its soundtrack went back to full price. I just completed the set w/ Camera Obscura for $0.12 before the Platformer bundle discount went down to 81%.

JULY THE 4TH BE WITH YA'LL!

And also with ya'll.

So, Steam sale sucked; I only spent, like, $100 there. Had to go elsewhere for exorbitant spending.

Got some stuff on Nuuvem, that was certainly fun.

Grabbed some old gala bundles from our very own Detruire. What a swell guy!

Spent $20 on Tremor coins and picked up near 120 fodder games I missed throughout the year. Good times.

All in all, lame ass sale. Can't wait for winter. Excited to see how Valve could make the sale even more boring.
