WOW!  Super excited about this Superfight giveaway.  Was so close to buying it when it was released, but I know no one I knew would buy it so I'd have to play with randoms.

I registered as an Insider on my hotmail account and similarly to HBX, I never got a confirmation email, despite multiple clicks of the "resend" button.

I registered again later on an AOL email and I got it right away. Hopefully this info helps someone else.

No confirmation email sent to my Yahoo email, not even spam folder, but I had a confirmation email sent immediately to my gmail address. Unfortunately it says NO CODES when I get there. :( REALLY wanted to get this one.

No thanks at around $46.14 USD (Google price conversion) for everything DkS3.

I still ain't finished Dark Souls 1 PTD; ain't done anything w/ Dark Souls 2 (base-game / original version); and ain't bought DkS2: Scholar.

So, DkS3 is not even close to being on my radar...probably for a GOOD while.

It'll say "NO CODES" but if you then log in, log out and then log in again, voila ... you'll have codes.

Thanks for the heads up on the giveaway spoder

I just did the Superfight thing and it gave me keys just fine. But if you're too lazy to do the other thing, you can have one of these:

Unrelated, but if anyone here got in on the 3-month Audible trial for the $10 Amazon credit and is keeping it 'till the end like I am, I'm using my free audiobook credits on the 3 "The Strain" books. The first one's narrated by Ron Perlman, which is an auto-buy for me, and the other two are narrated by some character actor dude. I'll post next month if he's any good.

Just a suggestion if you're into that sort of stuff and are struggling with your free book pick.

This is bullshit.

It'd be one thing if it was only a handful of VAC-enabled games (CS:GO and all the big e-sports shit), but it's any and all VAC-supported games, of which there are a ton more than you'd think. If you look at the list posted in the quote below, it's 17 full fucking pages including shit you'd never expect like Resident Evil 6, Total War Shogun 2, Dark Messiah of Might & Magic, 100% Orange Juice, Dungeon Defenders and even fucking Sanic Racing Transformed. And that's just the big surprises on the first two pages.

Not to mention it says "game ban supported" which is vague enough to mean pretty much any game with MP cheat detection or possibly not even that.

"Valve allows developers to implement their own systems that detect and permanently ban any disruptive players, such as those using cheats"

Meaning that it could include just any sort of bad behaviour, like being a potty mouth, and is entirely at the developer's discretion.

The biggest kick in the teeth though is the inability to store gifts anymore and there's no way in hell that this isn't a convenient excuse to fuck with traders and limit sale glitch purchases (most high price MP titles have VAC or some sort of system in place)

It feels like every time Valve makes a significant change to Steam these days, it's a bigger and bigger "fuck you, this is happening and you'll like it". It's astonishing.

But hey, at least they finally developed that Windows Phone app. :bouncy:
It's not that bad bopbby. Out of 17 pages there's in total 98 games (rest dlcs). I'm talking about VAC-enabled games.

Of course list will get fat, but right now it's just a small kick in our eggs.

it's an obvious move to stop cs go cheating. And since valve has been hit severely by cs go gambling drama they can use this movement as an excuse to cut down alts accounts.

Remember last summer sale when valve disabled gifting in cs go purchases. And I agree with you as I see this new restriction as a new way to punish trading and legit gifting too much.

This reminds me a lot of what happened in spain. The majority of citizens (we) suffered for all those fakers who abused robbing/cheating etc.. (politicians)

A few of the bros tonight played a handful of games. We meant to play Random Access Murder, but its not able to be downloaded yet.

- Zombie Kill of the Week Reborn - If Killing Floor was an 8 bit side scroller, this might be what you'd get. Biggest difference is its never ending. I think we got to like wave 35 or something on our best run. Its not bad at all, decent enough for what it is.

- Krautscape - This game is better in the looks department than the gameplay. I dove in blind having never played it and it probably helps to play single player so you know what you're doing. Its very orange. Decent enough in the looks department, but run of the mill racing with flying a part of it. Not horrible, but not memorable whatsoever.

- 100% Orange Juice - I hated this for the most part. Its a little too "cutesy" for me and it took a while to make sense. Its basically a board game with very simple turn based combat mixed in. Weiler made fun of us for playing it, but Spoder chose it so its his fault.

Not a bad night, nice to play some games that Id probably never have installed otherwise and at least one Ill try again maybe.

Now we can say Humble Monthly gave us a pre-order! Further reason for me to be a Humble-Gilby!

No one other than you, Bobby, uses AOL.

(Hell, I cannot even fathom why you would admit to it... Do you collect AOL CDs from their dialup days too?)

:D

Wonder if HB will refund my NMS since they havent given me a key yet
Probably.

I was getting close to a pre-order after seeing enough from the polygon video, but this delay makes the launch coincide with my vacation. I was looking forward to being part of another screaming mob.

I have it on PS4 already preordered...so I figure I'll start that on Tuesday. PC can wait :/

Are international ebay sellers safe / legit when it comes to selling region-free steam keys? Thinking of buying (see link) but have no experience with this kind of thing. I bought the base version of the game during the summer sale. Thanks.

"Steam Download Link"

The retail Wild Hunt pack included a code that let you redeem the game on Steam or GOG. I'm guessing they're selling you the code that lets you choose which one you want. This... feels really sketchy. I wouldn't trust it.

Also:

To help us fight unfairness, please be ready provide additional proofs of you, being the real account holder after purchase. If somehow you are not comfortable with conversation, or not ready to spend 5-10 minutes for 1-time additional verification, please do not make a purchase.
Nope. They can go eff off.
