You know, maps never really made much sense in video games to me. I mean, I know they're convenient, but practically and logically they don't make sense in most games. Survival games, exploration games, adventure games - usually never make sense to have a map. In the games where you find a map at least they try to include a logical premise for having a map. In games where your map grows as you discover new places it makes a little more sense. I think it's one of those conveniences people want even it breaks reality. It's funny though, people will rail about other things in a game not being realistic enough, but want to automatically have a map.
You should play dark souls.

Shoutout to Bah for the headsup on Zestiria!

So happy I might even fucking play it!

Woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

:whee:

I will play Turok when it's bundled and maybe in 5 years after I add it to my Steam library. There is a lot of nostalgia in any games. Sometimes it's rough to say play NES games or PSX games years later. It's even somewhat rough to play PS2 era games now. I know this first hand playing many old PC games from GOG and such. Those Apogee games may have been awesome in my childhood but now don't seem to control as well, look as good, or sound as well. They do have some fun though. I'm sure we'll be saying the same thing when the PS8 comes out and will be saying oh man those PS4 games are so antiquated now.

Have a few questions about the current Bandai Namco games on sale.

- Thinking about getting Zestria, DB Xenoverse, and Naruto UNS3 Full Burst.

- Do these games work with any Dual Shock controllers, or do I need an XBOX controller?

- What is this about a 60fps mod for Zestria?

- Full Burst is the single player while Revolution is the multiplayer game, right?

- Currently running an average level HP computer with Windows 10. Anything I need to know before buying these games that would cause problems?
- yes, get them 3 games. They are great at discounted price.

- yes they do work with Dual Shock

- i don't know about 60fps mod for Zestria

- Revolution MP is dead. If you are into MP, get Storm 4

- if you play on low-medium setting, you are ok. But of course, you forgot to tell us your GPU so your mileage may vary.

RIP GTX 970 & Nvidia

27-34fps. Seems like you need 1080 to play at 1080 even without AA.
So, VHQ = probably Very High Quality, I'd guess?

So, what about benchmarks at High? Medium? Low?

EDIT:

Also, are there any framerate killing settings (think like TressFX, GodRays, etc) here that when turned-off or turned-down a bit could get a huge framerate boost?

To hell with Remedy for not giving a tech test of Titanfall 2 on PC. Been downloading 12GB from the PS network for 4 hours now. PC would've been done before I finished catching up on all the deals in this thread.

I thought Remedy made Max Payne 1+2, Alan Wake series, and Quantum Break?

I thought Respawn (i.e. the ex-Infinity Ward core guys from MW2 and before) made Titanfall series?

@All the Tales fans on CAG...

MysterD has never played any of them.

So, is Zestiria a fine place to start in this series?

Are any of the (non-numbered sequels) related to each other in terms of character, stories, game-world/universe, and any things of that sort?

Also, which ones are probably the best ones in this Tales Of series...?

EDIT:

Purchased Zestiria.

Plus, like I thought - I had a key laying around for Alisha DLC; activated that up. Sweet.

They're all really similar. Tales of Vesperia on Xbox 360 was my favorite. The stories aint related but have similar themes ala Final Fantasy.

I think overall most agreed Symphonia and Vesperia are the best in the series. I personally do like Graces f only because of the battle system. I felt like it's the best of all and most fluid when inputting moves. But characters and story isn't likable.

All of them are pretty much standalone titles aside from those 2 sequel games.

This is going to cheese some people off (I know the feeling) but Tales of Zestiria is even cheaper ($6.79) with coupon code

BNE15OFF

Enjoy, and feel free to drink my salty tears.

if computer gaming is so great then why isn't there a computer 2?

CHECK MATE PC MASTER RACE.

Consoles: 1

Computers: 0
pffft, foolish pheasant. The Master Race is divine, hence immortal. There will only be one Master Race, and we take the form that is required at the moment. Your iterations amuse us.

I've been sitting at 3,999 games in my steam library for the past week or so and I've been looking for something decent to add as #4,000. Even though Tales of Zestria wasn't terribly high on my wishlist, it is at least a cut above the rest of the bundle fodder trash that I have lying around which I could have made #4,000. So I figured that it'd do.

I just bought the game (thanks neuropod for the coupon code) and just logged on to steam to activate the key. Before activating the game, i went to my profile so I could see #3,999, which I would then refresh after activating the key to reveal 4.000. Only problem is, my account inexplicably had 4,000 before activating the key. Somehow my game count jumped up one without me doing anything. Very odd.

Oh well, I'm calling Tales of Zestria #4,000 no matter what steam says. And frankly, I can't even remember what #3,000 was. So I guess it isn't all that important. I'll probably forget ToZ as my (unofficial) #4,000 in 6-8 months anyway when I'm creeping up on #5,000.

Did the same thing. I was going to make #5,000 something special, but I ended up redeeming some bundle fodder without realizing how close I was. Now I'm at 5067, and it's too late to buy No Man's Sky with Gabenbux in celebration.

It's probably a good thing, though. All of these monsters look like Dr. Seuss' failed Spore creations.

Do you have the New Reality Games complete pack? If so, your 4000th game was Fall of Civilization. It popped up a day or two ago.

I've always wanted all those Dwarf Fortress inspired games like Prison Architect, Rimworld, etc. but when I'm about to buy any of them I realise that I can play Dwarf Fortress for free and it's probably better.

DAMNIT I knew I should have googled for a coupon code.
Worst of all, I actually Googled for promo codes...and came up short.

I guess my Googling skills, in this case, absolutely sucked.

Even checked ITAD for codes, too.

That is almost certainly the answer. I have that pack, and I went to the store page for Fall Of Civ and it said that I already own it. Impressive detective work on your part.

*tips hat*

I'm gonna continue calling ToZ #4,000 though. It occurs to me that all I'd need to do to make it #4,000 in fact, would be to delete some shitty bundle game from my account (lord knows I have enough potential candidates for deletion). Every game activated after the deleted game would get moved back one spot.

I'm just gonna pretend that I'm not too lazy to actually go to the trouble of deleting a game, and voila, ToZ becomes #4,000.

Funny how crazy I am about some things. I keep track of my backlog on Howlongtobeat. I added some Steam purchases, and for some reason I hadn't added Steam purchases since 2013 o or late 2012 i forget.....so yes I added every Steam purchase I did since then. I just forgot to add them, but for every bundle/gleam/giveaway/whatever I would always add them to the site as I was redeeming....just a miss sight on my part. Also don't know your backlog.....it may sadden you to really know how big your backlog is. Mine is incomplete on the site as I only add console games as I play them for now. I will likely change that in the future, and yes i'm terrible about cataloging everything. At least my Steam owned games to there likely matches!

Thanks for the ToZ tip!  I guess I'm just low rent here as I only 574 games and 100+ are hidden from my account.

Rimworld does look amazing, but I'm enjoying my other Early Access game right now.  Still new more slots in my exosuit!

My Savage Resurrection never got pulled.  Of course, I'll never actually play it.

Idling it now for cards anyway just in case.
