This thread will attempt to provide a place to discuss past/present/future PC gaming deals. While mainly focusing on Steam games, any standout sales may also be presented. I will not be updating every Daily/Weekly/etc. sale. The tools to help individuals become a smarter shopper will be provided below.

See this POST for links to store sale pages, threads of interest and other tools to help you become a more informed PC game shopper.

Sorry for the off topic post but is the Alienware Alpha Asm100-1580 Core i3 4GB RAM model for $200 a good deal? If I upgrade the RAM to 8GB how capable is it?

Also I can't figure if it's a Steam machine or a full Windows PC. Anyone know?

I skip checking the thread for a day and it fills up with pages of bundle splits--

which I could understand--

but it's for a Squenix bundle.

What's wrong with all of you?

Purchasing these squeenix scraps will prevent at least one or two people from purchasing upcoming mystery squeenix craps.

That alone is worth a few pages of spam.

Ehhhh.... I think it's technically a decent deal but, at the same time, I think you'll be disappointed. The system itself is several years old at this point and uses an overclocked 860M card meant for laptops but with only 2GB VRAM instead of the card's standard 4GB. It's not suitable for 1080 gaming but can run some recent games at lower resolutions (or by drastically lowering settings). Looking around, I think it uses either the SteamOS or a modified Alpha OS that does about the same thing. Pretty sure it's not Windows. Which is too bad, because it wouldn't make a terrible machine for a small familyroom Facebook & Homework computer.

My feeling on Alienware Steamboxes in general is that they don't offer good specs return on the investment and, if you only have $200-$300, you're better off buying a console which will at least continue playing games released for it throughout its life span. It's not even great as a starter system since it's not really upgradable beyond adding more memory or a larger hard drive.

Then you're leaving?
If one terrible joke is all it took to get rid of me, I wouldn't have lasted five minutes or two Tebow posts in this place.

Hard to disagree. You can get a 1Tb XBONE for around $250 and it has the nice side-benefit of playing 4K Blu-rays if you happen to have a compatible TV.

Also of note, if you buy the $1 tier it's included.
This is literally the one GalCiv I have on Steam already.

Ugh, that need WAY more VRAMz...

Looks like its one of the windows 8 ones

On a side note these things aren't THAT bad actually. My tech illiterate buddy bought one instead of a bone or PS4 and it actually handles pretty nice, played everything we've thrown at it so far with a little tweaking.

Of course don't go expecting desktop power, but for a living room HTPC its actually pretty sweet

Also its tiny and built like a tank, my friend already pulled it off his coffee table onto the concrete and it survived

For the Fakeys out there...

Nuuvem has Bayonetta - Deluxe Edition for $16.99, which is lower than both Humble w/ the Monthly club 10% off ($17.99) or Steam ($19.99).

Using the 5% off Promo Code (MEUCUPOM) knocks it down to $16.15 if anyone is still looking to buy it now.
