I haven't noticed this major issue because I'm not a deviant and play as a male. I'm at least 20 years beyond my "whoaaaaaaaaaa, girl" days and have no need to stare at make believe animated ass to go my jollies.

Looks like BioWare Edmonton might be making a MMO-lite game like Destiny + The Division:

https://gamerant.com/bioware-game-destiny-meets-the-division/
Journalism is such shit that people can't even write proper headlines anymore. You scroll down the article and it says the game is like Destiny & The Division only in that it's going to be an MMO lite. The title "attempts to bring friends together to play in new ways and the title as a whole is more of an action adventure game". So it's not like the Division or Destiny at all. Thx clickbait headlines.

If they changed from backgrounds you liked to ugly backgrounds you didn't I imagine it would alter how much you enjoyed the game.
Not for a Sakura game.

And also, correct me if I'm wrong, but don't you have the option to make your own version of this Ryder chick? Like different race, alter it, etc. And what I've seen from the stock models of other versions of Ryder not all of them are "ugly" and some of them are actually what I would consider "classically beautiful."

I mean, I get it, none of the guys so riled up over this would ever even have a chance with a hot girl, so they have to live vicariously through video games, but come on, give it a break. If she was not white, you'd complain about SJWs. She's white, but now she's not hot enough, so you're complaining about SJWs. What do you want? Emily Ratajkowski in a nazi uniform?

We're gonna need a bigger oven.

The Endless Space collection is $1.

http://store.steampowered.com/sub/149433

The base game is still full price.

Edit: Folks on Reddit are saying some regions (like Asia) are not getting the right price.
Is it worth my had earned dollar?
EDIT: since I'm asking about games being worth it
Talos principle @$10
Prototype collection @$15
Bayonetta @ $15.50

Any of these worth picking up at those current price points?

Hey, you're the one talking about sakura games. :shame:

I don't think the issue is that she isn't hot enough, its that the model was changed before release due to complaints. Which I find ironic since in an article promoting the game before release someone from Bioware was classifying it as soft core porn. Clearly, despite being about space, the models affected many people as there are articles all over the internet about it.

Plus ME is a rpg, derpy dialog and ugly/odd graphics can pull you out of the game which is the opposite of what the developers want. Ugly is definitely subjective, but if you replace the characters in a game like Baldur's Gate with care bears and left the gameplay alone it would suddenly not be as appealing to me personally. I could see how people who 'liked' or 'connected' with the model before would be upset and I can kind of see how horny boys (girls I guess too, can't discriminate!!!) would be upset as well since it seems to be one of the games selling points.

Okay, I have not seen any documentation of complaints that the model was too hot or whatever before release and that's why it's changed. I'd really like to see that. Real documentation and not just white robe conspiracies.

Bought the Endless Space thing just to hope that it drives the price down on future Steam bundles of their stuff.

Really don't have interest in BioWare anymore. I recently saw what MEA looked like pre launch. Female Ryder did look like actress it's based on before launch. That pretty much proves the theory.
To be fair the team that we think of as Bioware is in Edmonton and has apparently been working on this new title. Andromeda was made by a spin off in Montreal and was their first game as a whole team. EA seems to have the whole thing sort of obfuscated anyway and who knows how much or how little Edmonton contributed or had oversight of the project.

I have bad news for you. Sega killed most of their bundles. They changed most bundles to packages formatting which don't care if you own or not a single piece of item on it.

I hope SEGA will reconsider that move in the future.

Oh that's too bad, time to get a refund!

Nah for $1 of Steam money that I can't spend because the actual Steam deals aren't worth it anymore it's still worth it. Too bad though, was hoping to get the Total Warhammer and Endless Legend DLC cheaper that way eventually.

Is the 15 dollar tier of the Intergalactic Humble Bundle worth getting in your guys opinion?  I know Offworld Trading company is supposed to be pretty stellar but no clue about the other games in that bundle.

I don't know about specific complaints but its pretty clear they changed it prior to release. Could be a conspiracy or a coincidence I guess, but I can't think of any reason why it would have gotten changed how it did.

Is it worth my hard earned dollar?
I would seriously recommend saving that $1 and putting it towards another ES2 glitch or future bundle. Discounting early access bugs, ES2 is terrific and a gigantic improvement over the original. ES1 had some nice concepts but there was a ton of clunkage in the mechanics and combat. I'm not saying ES1 isn't worth a buck...it's an average 4X game with a nice setting & interesting lore, and if you're a fan of the genre you'll probably squeeze some enjoyment out of it.

Only played one 15ish hour round of ES2 before my save glitched out, but it has an excellent shot at being my GOTY.

Talos = yes if you enjoy puzzles and deep thought. I've double dipped on it.

Prototypes = Picked up but not played.

Bayonetta = Cute, but aged like <insert name>'s Mom. I would wait for a better deal.

but I can't think of any reason why it would have gotten changed how it did.
Don't attribute to malice that which can be explained by incompetence.

I find it amusing that this conspiracy relies on Bioware being told "Make that girl uglier to fight sexism! Not the dude though; bitches love sexy dudes..." though I guess that presumed double standard fits right into the MRA party line.

Thanks to Waggles for the heads up on the clearance.   I actually had a receipt for $5 deposited on each of these steels from back on 10/20/16.  It has been a nagging sore in my mouth for months because I didn't want to go in and drop a full $200 for the set.  But now with the clearance I picked them all up in a heartbeat.  I'm a huge steelbook collector and have been excited about these steels for awhile.

I was considering Axiom Verge for the same reason (all time low) and because the dev seems like a nice person. I think the only other non bundled ones on the list are Chariot and Stories? These are just steel books, right? No extras like regular indie boxes?
I caved and picked up Axiom Verge from Humble for $9 recently after reading about how the game is the main form of support for the developers disabled son. I'm really enjoying the game so far.

I thought about it but after seeing all the DLC available for those two top tier games I'll probably just wait for complete packs.

Their first stance was to not make any changes to the model so I doubt it was incompetence, especially since hours after release people had worked up a better looking model than the one Bioware did. Especially when the articles clearly show they did have a better looking less awkward model in the game before release.

Feminists complained about how the chick was portrayed too, calling it a presumed MRA double standard is...a conspiracy.

I remember when Amazon Tony had their own Prototype Bundle Pack [Steam keys] for $7.49, back in the old Golden Amazon DVG Days.

EDIT:

It was in early November 2012.

At most, that would prove that they changed the model in the 11th hour. It doesn't prove motive or the "OMG SJW Feminazis are ruining muh gaemz!!!!" conspiracy theories.
If it came across wrong, I'm not trying to stir up or start something. I'm am just actually wondering:
How is it supposed to look "better", more normal, OR more realistic to the actor it's based on?
http://gearnuke.com/mass-effect-andromeda-day-one-patch-alters-default-female-ryder-face-report/

Why should they do that? If you have a rational reason I'd be happy to hear it. They only things people have offered is the "SJW" angle, and then they show the few dozen racist statements from the one BioWare guy as "evidence". If there is a better rational reason, it's not getting traction online. Seriously, I'd be happy to hear people aren't being so naive that they decide changing a character's face model will change the world. (But I haven't cared enough to search it out if it exists, just whatever pops up on YouTube feed when I bored)

And on that note there was a entertaining video by some vegan guy on the subjects, and then there were tons of vegan videos on my feed. YouTube algos suck.

Just got an invite to Quake Champions Closed Beta
Ditto.

EDIT:

Great, so we got ESO Free Week + Quake Champs Closed Beta this week/weekend.

Plus, had to download a Bethesda.Net Launcher to do this - as if we don't have enough Launchers/Client-Services already (Battle.Net/Blizzard; EA Origin; Steam; UPLAY; etc.).

Endless Space has its issues, but if you're a fan of Civilization type games and/or spacey stuff, it's an easy recommendation for a dollar. There's a decent modding scene for the game last I checked, too.

The 1.05 patch that dropped last week makes most of the humans/asari look significantly better. There are rumors floating around about some of the facial crap being outsourced in the prelaunch rush, but life is much simpler if you ignore all the haruanging that revolves around Bioware games.

The thread where people commonly buy GMG mystery meat is having trouble with the value of a $1 game. I think we shifted realities again.

People who get worked up enough about non-sexy Bioware faces to start making theories about them aren't really a representative sample. I don't need to present a reason because I'm content to say "I dunno" and not insist that it must be because of [reason]. It's the people insisting that need to support their argument and "See, once she was prettier and now she ain't" only shows that the model was changed, not why.

The yelling vegan guy was funny in a sad sort of way. It takes a special mindset to be simultaneously pissed that DA:I offered a lesbian relationship AND that the exclusively lesbian partner wasn't fuckable enough for him.
