It won't happen. Destiny is basically an MMO. MMOs don't get offline modes. No matter how dedicated whatever tiny community there is left and how many useless petitions they make.

Bots won't happen either. I don't know anything about programming, but I imagine it would take a really, really long time. Time that will be used to work on Destiny 3 or 4. Not patching in offline/AI for people who waited to buy the game at $5.
Well, if Bungie won't do it - maybe some modder will reverse-engineer it.

Oh, and while I'm at - I'm still waiting for a Tabula Rasa: Offline Mode, too.

IIRC, Uru Online (right before its first shut-down) got its content moved to To D'Ni as a free expansion and moved over to the SP portion of the game.

EDIT:

Please, Ive taken a real stand on that boring ass looking game. No one at no time ever expected mystercheap to buy this game.
Sweet! Not only at I "MysterD", but I'm also "MysterC!"

Since I am part of the "CheapAssGamer" club, major emphasis on the "C for cheap" part, this new "MysterC" name is also so fitting. So loving this.

EDIT:

Sorry MysterD, it appears at least Weiler, Blade and myself have not purchased PUBG. You are still the only gaming toaster though. positive thoughts.
Thanks for the Silver Lining.

I'm in the same boat as Motiv at this point where I'm making money off of PUBG, so where does that put us? At that point, the game is more than 100% off.

New poll

and for those that haven't been keeping track, Fox's mom was the winner of the "Who is iPayMSRP" poll

Will TrumpCat win again, or will MysterD prevail??
I bet Blade is going to be so mad he got left off this list.

I am sincerely surprised that MysterD hasn't managed to run through his upload space limit yet on Steam.  He takes 300 screenshots of every game he plays and uploads them all.  Now that I think about it, I'm also surprised he hasn't burned through his data limit either.

spoderman too! He would have been a worthwhile pick for all three polls...

PCGAMES5OFF is 1 time use and works on one item. Don't know how you used it multiple times, you should need a new account if you wanna use it again
It might be a one time code... I cannot remember what else I bought from them, if anything at this point, and I only have an one order with them in my history so you might be right on that. (I did have to have two items in my cart and I did get a full 5 percent discount on said cart when I did use it.)

What is data limit?

6Znwh49.png
I wish Google tracked this but I guess Google cares so little about data usage they don't even track it. (That said I don't think I beat that. Even with streaming Hulu for 9 hours a day while I'm basically asleep.)

But, like you said, I've only managed to use them right as their deals are usually average or lackluster at best so it doesn't really matter.

why list Motoki on the greatest CAG villian list?
If you're gonna ask that.. you might as well ask why I put Bobby or rcsample on there too lol.

But I'll give an honest answer, I listed most people as a joke (Bobby asked me to list him on there so I did), and I don't really consider rcsample as a villain but he posts so many awful jokes that I thought it'd be funny if I listed him.

As for Motoki, he's legitimately been hostile to some CAGs (he used to target them and wouldn't stop for months), he's even insulted me over PM one time when no other CAG has done that.. so yeah I think he fits the villain list just fine. I really don't want to start shit or anything, as I know Motoki was extremely helpful back when he posted and he's even been generous (I know he's gifted various people and gifted lots of people Cocunut Queen including myself), but he had an aggressive side to him that went unrivaled since I started using CAG back in 2005.

BTW JonnyC = the Groupees CEO if anyone has forgotten. He has a CAG account and posted with it last year.

If events from the past weekend have taught me anything, it's actually calling a villain exactly that, a villain, is what turns them into a villain.  I fully expect these seven to unite into the League of Extraordinarily Awful Posters and completely ruin CAG with lengthy pointless diatribes and terrible animated pictures.

Thanks, spobama.

Are you saying that if I list MysterD in a hero poll he'll stop being so redundant and won't post wrestling gifs?

JonnyC can't possibly be a villain, all he wanted was to beat Motoki up with his finely manicured hands and get him a beer after. Sounds like a swell guy to me!

I'm a villain in a way. If someone localizes an eroge, known to be 18+, there better be an 18+ version to purchase or I'll rage and never buy until the 18+ version is released. Hopefully the last part of the Grisaia trilogy will be available soon enough. Sekai Project hopefully listened to my bickering and seems to be doing more often concurrent 18+ releases on Denpasoft. That's the way I like it.

The Division survival expansion pack will be free to play from August 18-20

I didn't think anyone actually played this game anymore.

They could of expanded that game mode in such better ways but just like all their "Expansions" they just release them and leave them to die

The Division is releasing update 1.7 tomorrow (8/15) and with it an update to the survival expansion:

Survival Improvements - New scoring items will allow players to achieve higher scores. And the reward economy has been reworked so that time investment is more on par with other activities.

The big update also features:

Commendations - A new built-in achievement system that provides players with a series of tasks and subsequent rewards.

Encrypted Caches - Loot boxes with random customization items and emotes inside.

Global Events

New Gear and Customization Options

I dove back into the Division a few months ago and ended up putting about 10-15 hours into the new content. I'll probably check out the update this weekend and take a break from PUBG since I still find the game to be entertaining. I love loot-shooters and highly customizable gear/ability/skill type action games. I know that's not everyone's cup of tea, and that's totally fine.

The Division made the same mistake as Warcraft and many other MMO-like games before it.  The raid endgame was comprised of one nigh-impossible Incursion (group dungeons) that awarded the very best loot in the game.  Then the next update came out and all the new equipment was better than everything you spent the first few months working for.  With a snap of the fingers the developers trivialized the entirety of your previous playtime.

It's no wonder that most people quit and never felt like going back.  It left a sour taste in your mouth.

the lack of female representation on this list disgusts me.  Sexism and misogynism are the blight upon this white male patriarchy world.  :cold:

I demand that Asheskitty be listed.   :whistle2:

Well, Bobby does have tits (or teets?) on his avatar... Also, nice not so subtle attempt to get people to vote for rcsample.

How dare you assume Booby gender? :shame:  Just b/c there's 1 pair of boob doesn't mean one could assume.  It could be man-boob

And I would have put AmazonJosh there too, if I could.  He broke my heart with repeated disappointments and his disappearance act.

What would I lose out on by going with the aging cpu? I would only be using it for gaming.
Well the i5-6400 could cause a bottleneck, probably not right now, but maybe in the near future. It's basically a mid-range processor.

There may be better deals around Christmas.

At least amongst my friends we were most disappointed in that the expansions weren't really expansions. They have what could have been one of the best game settings ever created, a semi-realistic version of NYC that wasnt previously possible in video games. They even had these extra areas partially completed since you could glitch into unfinished parts of the map. I mean how do you have a PvE with gangs and PvP in NYC without central park as an entire playable area, or a non-intro brooklyn, or imagine the fun of a rundown/deserted coney island. Just so many possibilities

Instead we just got generic subway areas no one really wanted

You'd be fine for at least a while (1-2 years) with that processor, but what you want to do with it matters as well. If you want to play the latest and greatest games at their highest fidelity or things like VR, you'll be wanting to upgrade it sooner. If you're playing older games or less demanding games, you'll be fine longer. It really matters what your expectations are and what you want to do. Find out what motherboard it has as well. Prebuilts tend to use low level MOBOs as they get them cheap in bulk. At the very least that will let you know your immediate options if you decide you want to upgrade your processor sooner. I imagine its decent enough to go with a better i5 or even a Kaby Lake, but its still probably a budget MOBO so things like overclocking and RAM capacity will be lessened. Some budget mobos are well made (Gigabyte espc), but they're budget, so theres technological limits and are typically microATX so there's not a lot of room.

For that price with that GPU, it is a decent enough rig. I bought a prebuilt a few years ago when I went back to PC gaming exclusively as I was upgrading a home office machine on the dirt cheap prior that just was far too limiting (it was a Dell which has all proprietary bullshit). I ended up changing everything in the prebuilt over time, but what I was initially set up with was good enough as I learned what I wanted out of my system so I was able to get into PC gaming and participate immediately rather than wait just to get better components, as I changed I was able to sell my old components too. At the very least it gets you something that will work well right now and you can learn in the meantime what you want in the future. I'm only still using the case, optical drive, and hard drive as secondary that I got with my prebuild (early 2014). The 1070 alone is the priciest piece in there and you're future proofed with it for a few years (3-4) most likely.

I'm in the process of drawing up my first build from scratch, already have a few pieces with Black Friday my target for the mobo/processor/ram and the actual putting together.

A couple of posters here have suggested that Ashes was, in fact, a dude. Which I kinda hope is true. Because it would make that two week period when MysterD was flirting with Ashes even funnier than it seemed at the time.

I was disappointed at the change between the "promised" map and delivered.

For people who know pcs. (I don't... At all). Does this seem like a good deal?
In general, profit margins are razor thin when it comes to PC hardware. It's uncommon to see a discount as high as 33% on a pre-built from Asus. Hard to tell if it is Asus's ROG brand. If it is then the motherboard should be high quality. Don't worry about the processor...you'll be good for a while. The 1070 is what makes this a deal and I would be all over it myself but...I live in Canada. Oh and You'll want to grab an SSD as well (for the OS and games) if you don't already have one.

[Pics of MysterD with 145 screens of DE: MD, Jacksonville fan reaction, Greatest CAG Villain Poll & someone from CW crying]

In the old days, I was real selective about the screenies I put up b/c I didn't have as much Steam-space to upload to. Now w/ that number exploding, with now 14GB of space - why the hell not? I just upload 'em all. [shrug]

And those scratching their heads over the number of screens I'm posting for Deus Ex: MD of late - keep in mind, that's just for the DLC's that I'm working on. And I ain't even finished A Criminal Past DLC yet.

Right now, I have Comcast Blast and I still have no data limit. Waiting on the notice for that to change. Always keeping my eyes peeled, just in case things do change.

EDIT:

For what it's worth, my i7-860 processor is eight years old.
That's b/c you have a i7, though. I have a i7 950 - and that still holds up pretty good. i7's of a generation are usually pretty strong. And Intel really hasn't been pushing their CPU's super-hard because they really ain't had competition from AMD until maybe Ryzen. They (Intel) have been refining their CPU's for years w/ a bit better performance and often not giving off as much heat w/ each generation.

Even when running a GTX 970, 16 GB RAM, W7 64-bit with my i7 950 here - 1440p on Medium or above at 30FPS, 45FPS, or 60FPS on most games here.

EDIT 2:

That's exactly what CAG's greatest villain would say!
DoJGq.gif

Damn right!

I definitely am a Villain: going against the CAG Grain here by NOT "Fakeying" the "CAG Bro" Games; play mostly SP portions of games; trying to stick with 75% off or better philosophy (that doesn't always work, though); constantly complain about DRM; complain about console games that are not getting PC versions; haven't owned a console since PSX1; MMO's that can be played SP-style not later getting offline modes when they have no players or are about to pull the online-plug; make ultra-long-winded posts like this on CAG; etc etc.

EDIT 3:

Are graphics cards such as the 1070 still being mined & overpriced right now?

We've pretty much chased all the females away - at least there are no regulars anymore.  Great work, guys!

On another note, I'm closing in on 6,000 games on Steam:  http://steamcommunity.com/id/DrR0Ck/  Haven't seen folks posting about their numbers anymore since Carlmundo successfully managed to kill off the whole senseless "+1" thing.

Anyway, it feels like quite an achievement, especially in light of the fact that I will most likely never play 5,750 of them.

Open to thoughts on what should be my memorable number 6,000, even though it's pretty arbitrary what with Valve no longer counting de-listed games toward your total.

I know many of you are going to suggest Pretty Bunnies Under Grass; I'm not sold on it, and have little time for Multiplayer, and the bros play too late for me.  Although unlike MysterCheap, I'm not holding out for the offline version on this one.
