This thread will attempt to provide a place to discuss past/present/future PC gaming deals. While mainly focusing on Steam games, any standout sales may also be presented. I will not be updating every Daily/Weekly/etc. sale. The tools to help individuals become a smarter shopper will be provided below.

Not to pull a MysterD on this one, but waiting for a complete edition with all DLC for $10-$15 (or less obvs).

OMG -I just realized something: MysterD is cheap. CheapyD also cheap. Both ending in "D" names. Never seen them both in the same place at the same time. Draw your own conclusions.

Atlanta's smog/haze doesn't help either.

But yeah, I've climbed Rainier 2x (+ a winter attempt) and walked up Stone Mountain. Stone Mountain deserves to be called a mountain as it fits the scientific definition, but 95% of the population can make it up it. Rainier is one of the great climbs in the continental US. Hell, Stone Mountain has a lift that will take you up it and handrails on the trail lol.

+ Rainier is a volcano. But anyway.

The most important thing I got out of this is that people actually use multiple (8!) accounts for giveaway shenanigans. That takes dedication.

In other news Johnny Depp is producing a tv show based on The Secret World, probably entirely due to Idiot championing its cause like always.

Can be used for good or bad purposes I guess. Some idiots on steamtrades used over 40 accounts so they can trade Deceit keys for other games.

But that's not the worst part. Apparently the whole purpose of the giveaway (according to marvelousga on reddit) was to increase the Chinese playerbase. Half of the playerbase, if not more is chinese.. which isn't a good thing IMO. If you read some of the reviews or forum posts people complain about people not speaking english, or that Chinese people instakill them for speaking english.

I usually log into the page, click on a couple tasks, look at how many more there are to do and then just close it down without finishing. I can't imagine doing them multiple times.

 
I know most people here like fast hard drives, but Best Buy has 8tb WD Easystore externals on sale for $179+tax that have a standard 8tb WD Red in them.

 
I was considering that Gamemaker bundle but I pulled a Gilby.  Not like I would ever have made anything anyway.  

I would like to see Mount Ranier one of these days.  Hopefully before it decides to pull a St Helens and go kaboom.  Scary volcano, it has a massive amount of glacial ice.

I've had a similar experience. Landed near another player. Ran around like crazy looking for a gun, only to find a 1911 with 1 magazine. We see each other. I empty all my rounds, only hitting him twice. He hits me several times, with several different weapons and then, apparently, we're both out of ammo, so the fists come out. I get hit/hit him, but I'm looooowww on health, so I run to the nearest body of water and start swimming. After a few minutes, I turn around and the same dude is right behind me. I swim in a few circles and he does the same, almost mimicking me, the ass. So, while he's imitating my circles, I swim hard for the shore, turn and he's headed right for me. I'm standing as soon as you can on shoreline, fists out, and as soon as he's near, I'm punching like Rocky. He pulls his pistol, I don't know why, but I've already bested him and his sad lifeless body just floats at the edge of the shore. Didn't have shit in his inventory.

is it better than SSD? Haven't caught up on HD in a while so I can't tell if WD Red is the shit nowadays

When my son was about 4, I was telling him to get ready for preschool but he wasn't really following directions. In exasperation I (mimicking Charles Barkley) said "Am I speaking Chinese?" The boy, without missing a beat, simply replied "ni hao!" I was so pissed and my wife just laughed at us.

G105 is not mechanical, so I wouldn't bother. As far as the mice, if you're getting Logitech + wired, you gotta go with the G502. It's the most comfortable mouse I've ever held, and it's been $40 several times.

$49.99 is also a killer price for the MX Master, but I would only recommend that for those with bigger hands.

Basically.

Around half price for an 8tb WD Red (NAS, so theoretically it should have a long lifespan).

Not fast, but good for storing stuff (videos, DRM free copies of games, poopees FLAC music bundles, etc).

EDIT:

To be clear, the reason I pointed out that they were standard Reds inside was that they are really easy to pop open to remove the drive to use as an internal drive.

Agents of Mayhem currently has a rating of 68 on opencritic.  Alot of negative reviews on steam mention optimization issues which can be solved with drivers.  Some like the humor while others do not.  Most tend to agree that currently it is overpriced.  In other words, nothing we did not already know. 

 
I really doubt I will get a refund for my $13 but I am hoping it works.

H1Z1 is rebanding themselves as "Just Survive" and even use WarZ as an example in my refund statement.

I'd expect it to crash rapidly in price like its spiritual predecessors the Saints Row games.

Take BF4's engine & gameplay; BF4's SP-style rewards & unlock system; add in additional & optional stealth elements; and throw in a good campaign on top of things. Yeah, it's a steal at $3 for the SP alone.

And they obviously are trying to push Battlefront 2 coming soon, cheaping-out Battlefront 1 Ultimate this majorly.

hardline's mp really wasnt bad once they worked out all the kinks, but at that point it was far too late and only a couple hundred people playing at most. The beta really killed it, it was more twitchy than a COD game, which is not what any bf player wants, so it turned off the entire built-in player base they would have had. The final game though toned it down alot, but it was too late

so u recommend this Red external for storage but why ppl would pop this out and use as internal?

Speed wise, it's slow. Storage wise, wouldn't a portable external version be better?

I took mine out of the enclosure and put it in my tower because I don't like external drives.

I like the WD Easystore 8TB because they have historically always contained standard 3.5" sata WD Red drives where other external drives can have cheaper drives or proprietary interfaces.

I like Reds because my computer is always on and I like the theoretical longer life.

I don't mind the speed because I'll use it for storing videos and games and I don't mind slightly longer load times for my granny games.

I just wanted to give people a heads up on a good deal for a decent drive if they're in the market for a new internal or external drive.

 
There was another giveaway for Deceit overnight. I got there just before they ran out of keys and I managed to grab a second key using my alt account. It's free to the first person who quotes this post.

EDIT:: Looks like my insomnia is subsiding. I guess I'll get a little sleep tonight after all. So I'll have to PM the code to anybody who has quoted this later on.
