This thread will attempt to provide a place to discuss past/present/future PC gaming deals. While mainly focusing on Steam games, any standout sales may also be presented. I will not be updating every Daily/Weekly/etc. sale. The tools to help individuals become a smarter shopper will be provided below.

Since the average CAG has the average attention span of and ADD preteen Ill clue you all in. The Corngrass is a metaphor for the steam catalog and the 2 leads struggle to find deals in the morass. Along the way they find love of VRAM, Pizza, and Tebow, only to wind up in each others arms. The sequel is already in the works

My Steam link came in the mail today and this thing is fucking awesome.   I can now play my PC games on my living room television while laying down on the couch or sitting in the recliner.   It's perfect for what I want to do.  

The stream works well wireless about 25 feet from my router with no walls in between. It has close to line-of-sight. I'm not sure how well it would work for other setups.  A few games aren't recognizing the 360 controller + dongle.  But I was just playing Pinball FX3, Portal 2, and Ys II with no problems.   Love this thing!

Not true. Discord overlay hooks into the game. Guarantee people are getting banned for non malicious hooks.

Though what do I know I have a ban on steam from 5k days ago.
 
Destiny 2 banned me because of my pacemaker.  Said I could not run electronic interference devices.  How unfair is that?  Bungie is telling me I have to DIE in order to play their game!  And Battlenet refuses to give me a refund!  I will NOT kill myself just to play a game.

See, if Destiny 2 PC had bots for AI that you could use as teammates and an actual offline mode, then those who got banned could probably still play offline... ;)

He's a former CAG whose anger problems got him banned when he said some things to a mod. He had a propensity for misspelling and posting WWE gifs. I'm still friends with him on Steam. He really likes the Sharknado movie series, enjoys keeping up with TV shows, is a Bernie bro, Rockies fan, hates Hillary Clinton, and hates his bitch of a supervisor at work.

Important dog update:  did not cost much.  The dog was pulling out her own hair and chewing on herself until she was almost bleeding but it was an allergic reaction and hives that were just driving her insane.  She was going around whining and chewing and acting so weird I wondered if she had something bad wrong with her.  So happier dog and happier me because I might actually be able to buy a replacement video card.

Also Tebow didn't just post wrestling pics, he randomly posted a lot of pictures of porn stars too.

Hm. Congratulations, I guess. Let us know if you're still regularly using it after six months. I got one about two years ago and have used it maybe three times. It works fine for what it does, but I don't really have a need for what it does and most of the other people I've seen who've bought one have come to view them as expensive paperweights in short order.

Don't think so.  I've heard some people on the Steam forums say they got their keys through GMG already.  So I guess some key sellers are sending them out.

 
Yeah.  And there's a ton of long previews of Wolf II on Youtube so it's not as though they're being cagey about it (not that having game keys would matter about that).  AMD just hasn't received or sent them yet.

Yeah, I'm waiting for Wolf2 key as well. Just burned through Wolfenstein NWO and The Old Blood.. Good games... Tried to go back to Return of Castle Wolfenstein but didn't stick with it and went on to Singularity.

Want a follow up starring Fergus..

RTCW's SP was really good back in the day; and the MP was awesome.

I liked Singularity. It was good. Underrated game.

Wolf: TNO was awesome. I really should take on TOB soon and get all caught up.

Hating your boss is almost a rite of passage... Why are you trying to make him seem normal?

Anyhow, it wasn't just wrestling gifs he posted... it was just gifs of the WWE divas. (Note: Divas, the ones with no wrestling skills and not really bulk of the current roster who are at least decent in the ring.)

Good to hear! Few things worse in the world than seeing one of your pets suffering. One of our kitties has to get a shot this year to calm allergies.

Never played it... but I've always heard its got one of the best stories for an MMO. Granted, thats sort of a backhanded compliment.

I will be. I played The Witness for the first time all night on the big screen. It was awesome. Anytime I get a hankering to play pinball it will be on the TV. All PC JRPGs will be played over the steam link as well.

There are sit-at-your-desk PC games then there are lounge games. 4X, strategy, CRPGs, and other MMOs will always be played at the desk. But there are plenty of other games that are better in the comfort of your living room.

I wonder if I should have jumped in on that deal... A couple times I feel like I've gotten a bit of a pinched nerve between my shoulders do to my desk/setup.

The PC Gamer article I read suggested that the expansions would only be available for free for a limited time, sort of like a 6-day free trial if you use the code now. If that's true, there's pretty much zero chance I'll use this content either. MMO fatigue hits me hard and often for some reason, which is why I've never levelled a character past 48ish in LOTRO despite playing off-and-on for most of that game's life. It's about time for me to jump in for the seasonal content and lose interest again. . . . When I got TOR, I played one of the class stories up to when you leave the first planet, switched to a different class for a few hours and then had had enough. I think time spent in MMOs tends to remind me that I could be spending that time playing any number of well-reviewed single-player games that I currently have backlogged.

Well, when the CE dropped to $30, it was a pretty fantastic bargain. I have one of those huge boxes in my computer room.
 
Was on the fence about Assass Origins, especially considering I'm already getting Wolfy 2 and Super Odyssey. These reviews are looking pretty good, though.
 
I still need to finish Unity sometime, I guess; start Rogue and get that going; and get into Syndicate's Season Pass stuff - whenever I actually feel like I'm ready to take on these games using the overused UbiSoft open-world formula.

It sounds really weird from what I'm reading & seeing in videos that this can happen - that you can run into an area or mission; use a backstab/hidden blade/aerial attack on someone and if not leveled enough w/ the area or mission it just might not kill them. Seriously, WTH?

Haven't dev's learned from other RPG's/ARPG's or hybrid games to not allow your main focus of the game to be stunted like such? Assassinations are the main thing in AC games and should be the one thing they probably shouldn't screw with here. Didn't dev's learn stuff like this from Mass Effect 2 (i.e. ME2 and beyond have made sure they fixed the gunplay stuff which is the game's main focus and didn't let the RPG stats, levels, and skills stuff dictate it too much)? Even Fallout 4 learned from this, improving the combat immensely by not really having much gun stats and skills to have to upgrade much.

I can see needing to improve regular melee combat for equipment and skills and level that stuff up, but not much on Assassinations.

While SWTOR limits too much on the free to play aspect (too few character slots, slower move speed, and action bars are locked behind a small paywall for goodness' sake), once you pay $5 your account gets permanently upgraded to a "preferred" account with fast move speed/mounts earlier, more action bars, etc. For $5, the game was totally worth it. Some of the best voice-acted MMO story I've ever played. Like all MMOs, playing with friends is much better, though the story instances really make it tough to play certain parts together. (Guild Wars 2 really shines in this area)

As a traditional "tab targeting" MMO (as in, not an action MMO), it is one of the better ones, though it does lack outside of story content.

I played to almost max level with my wife and brother-in-law and we had a blast together, but I'm not sure if I could get back into it if I tried, though that is probably just because of my shift in preferences and time-constraints as I get older.

 
I'm waiting on Assassins Creed to stop boring me to death with the "real world" stuff.  I just want historical fiction, not this modern day conspiracy & virtual reality nonsense.

I realize that said nonsense is the cornerstone of the franchise so I'll be waiting a long while.
