I will not be updating every Daily/Weekly/etc. sale. The tools to help individuals become a smarter shopper will be provided below.

I don't feel like explaining to you what all these settings are, what they do, the performance issues they can cause, and so on.

And if you don't like my posts, you know where the Ignore button is. Just use it, for once.

Tomasety asked a question, so I answered it to the best of my ability.

Others can ask or say something, if they so feel inclined - and speak for themselves.

Anyways, I've just Spoiler'd-up parts of my post, just in case it got really long-winded, wordy, and detailed - which, knowing me, it probably did.

And I haven't skated in years - so, nope. Not interested in skating, ATM (At This Moment) in time.

I purchased my 970 through B&H photo. No Dice for me. Here's the response I got back from them.

"Unfortunately per mfgr regulations we cannot provide the new promo code for free here, I apologize."

 
Blues and Bullets came out today, looks pretty awesome (especially love the art style) and the story sounds decent (playing a detective investigating string of kidnappings). Listening to a first impression, supposed to be some shooting sections but is kind of Gemini Rue style/very basic. Also investigate crime scenes, which sounds kind of L.A. Noire like.

Down side is it's another damn episodic game =/. Why couldn't this and The Detail be full releases instead of piece by piece?

Since this is CAG, looks like it is $11 in Brazil, so might be cheaper on trading site or "shady," sites. Also has cards. 

 
Raid on Digistruct Peak is boring solo, but it's decent for multiplayer if you want to keep going and get O8 weapons which are insanely powerful. The thing is, the main story is so hard playing as Zer0 on UVHM that I didn't bother. The only way you can do well is if you get a DPUH or a Maggie with high slag damage, as that 4x health and regen nonsense is too much for single player.

just connected my old ps3 controllers to my PC after failing couple of years ago with motioninjoy (thanks SCP). Now I can finally play fighting & racing games on steam whoop.

Was referencing the upcoming GG summer promotion/sale. 2K Games (and Borderlands 1/2) are almost always heavily discounted on every major website's big sales.

I got to 61 with Maya. Probably the easiest character to do it with if specced right. And, yeah, UVHM is extremely tedious requiring constant slag and fire/acid weapons for humans/robots. Not to mention shields seemed utterly worthless no matter how high the numbers were. I imagine going to 72 and then Digistruct is a kick in the balls.

Haven't played but watched quite a few videos.  It's short.  Very short.  Like 4 hours or so?  It looks pretty, the gunplay seems nice, good physics, etc.  But very limited.  Wouldn't budge on anything over $5.

Not so much, no, until DirectX12, supposedly. I wish you the best of luck in making that work.

Unfortunately, nope.

At least not w/ DX11 and below. We don't know yet too much if DX12 changes this.

Basically, the multiple-cards alternate b/t picking up the frames to actually render them.

So, run as many cards in SLI you like - you're stick stuck w/ the same VRAM limit as whatever having just the one card is.

More details:

If say you have two 970's - you'd still have the 3.5GB 256-bit VRAM barrier to work with....and if + whenever that slow 32-bit on the last 0.5 GB decides to show-up. Something like Batman: AK - which can eat over 3.5 GB VRAM, if you crank its settings way up (i.e. throw everything on say High + Ultra) - still could + would take nasty graphical issues such as stutters, frame-rate drops, tears, slow-downs, & other graphical nonsense.

It's why you saw lots of people complaining they couldn't run certain games at max properly w/ two 970's b/c they were hitting the 3.5 GB VRAM limit. Some games, the games do want 4GB or more at higher settings. It's just the way it is, unfortunately.

Everything you post is so incredibly idiotic and wrong, I almost cry when I read your "tech posts". If I wasn't the 2nd laziest human alive, I'd correct you line by line until you're forced to crawl back into your daddy's den to watch wrestlemania reruns while clutching your roller skates and weeping softly. Instead, I'm just going to reiterate that your "tech posts" make me want to do bad things to baby seals.

Did anyone that got in on that Deceptive Games' Kidnapped giveaway yesterday actually get a Steam key? I retweeted when there were about 290 out there already and never got a key. I notice that there are tons of people saying the same thing.

Digistruct is a pain in the ass. I got up to about OP4 and just gave up. They really screwed what little balance there was to BL2 with the last couple of level upgrades. It got to the point that you HAD to have specific builds and equipment or there was little hope of advancing.

Maya, Sal, and Zer0 were the easiest to solo high level. Maya was probably the hardest of those three as a lot of her skills have little effect on certain enemies.

 
Are there any places to get a few of the older COD games for a decent price? Specifically looking for Modern Warfare, Black Ops and Black Ops 2.

MW is SteamPlay and the Mac version does go on sale occasionally, so check MacGameStore, GameAgent or even GetGames. Good luck on either BlOps. I don't think BlOps1 has ever hit $10 and beyond that one time at Microcenter, I don't think BlOps2 has either.

I wasn't even able to get that far. Continuously died while trying to beat Mad Mike in Bloodshot Stronghold as Zer0. My best gear is Legendary Hunter mod, DPUH, Rapid Infinity, and The Bee, all LV 49-50. Can't beat the dragons for Blockade on TVHM, even. :(

Black Ops 2 PC was $10 once at Microcenter.

I don't recall Black Ops 1 ever hitting $10 or less.

The Bee is kinda risky. Better off with a more defensive shield.

Edit: The Antagonist is an easily obtainable well balanced shield. Though, when I played Zer0, it was primarily a melee build.

I got mine right away. Were you following them? They needed that to be able to send you DMs. If that isn't it, just tweet at them or message them, others have said they did that and then got their key.

Yeah, I followed them and then retweeted. Got in around 290. I've tweeted them twice and no response, and I notice many others saying the same thing.

It's good to know that others have gotten a key. I'll keep trying. I kept looking at their name "Deceptive Games" and started to wonder...
