This thread will attempt to provide a place to discuss past/present/future PC gaming deals. While mainly focusing on Steam games, any standout sales may also be presented. I will not be updating every Daily/Weekly/etc. sale. The tools to help individuals become a smarter shopper will be provided below.

According to someone on the internet, someone on the internet (aka. very unreliable information) contacted gamestop and they said they're honoring the discount.

What about Dragon Age 2? You know that damned game was made for consoles and no amount of leaving out the controller support will change that.

Anyway up until very recently (and I mean like two months ago) Bioware did do controller support on their PC releases so anything that's not Dragon Age Inquisition will require some 3rd party program like Xpadder or Pinnacle Profiler or some such.

Personally, it's kind of a pain and never quite gets the feel of true controller support when I've tried it so I just deal with the kb/m.
 
Edit: I guess I should say this is console only thus far.

So, Borderlands: The Handsome Collection is a thing. While I'm a bit surprised at the inclusion of all the content, I'm more surprised that the rumored BL1 Remaster isn't part of this.

Reading that review and the comments (well, the ones that aren't about *yawn* Gamergate) makes me realize that there are people buying and playing/reviewing this game seriously. Comparing it to other visual novels or anime porn games or romance sims or whatever the genre is. I have zero interest in those things so I guess I don't look at it and say "This is garbage compared to other VN titles" or "The dialogue options don't give enough depth." Mods from the site listing the various adult romance-sims they've reviewed to give themselves credibility in deriding this game seems weird to me because taking it seriously seems like the last thing you should do. But I suppose there's a number of people out there who do take this sort of thing seriously rather than "Haha, this cheesily offensive game has ridiculous voice acting."

I got my Blackguards 2 key this morning from the GG glitch. Hm.. I guess they did refunds on everyone but me? 
They will probably revoke my key because of this post now... Doh!

I actually like some other serious VN, dating sim etc games, that said I don't consider HuniePop serious and in no way think it should be compared to those.

I think your Steam review pretty much sums up how I feel about it. If you look past the extreme cheese factor, groan worthy dialog and Wow, Really?ness of it all the game is actually fairly well put together.

I kind of admire its ballsy so over the top offensiveness in a way, but it's just a ridiculous game. And it knows it.

Yeah, mine said 9 AM CST up until this morning as well.

Actually last night I remember seeing a countdown on Steam like it was going to unlock at 2:00am CST and they changed it at the last minute to 10:00am CST. Looks like Gamestop changed their time to match it.

I don't think they refunded Drabes either. In fact, it seems like they may have ignored that one, probably because no one gives a shit about Blackguards.

I actually tried doing the same thing with Mass Effect, and after an hour of clunkily maneuvering around the Citadel, I had to go back to kb/m. If a game doesn't have controller support, I don't think there's any amount of tinkering on our end that can make it feel as natural as it was intended.

On the other hand, Blizzard did make D3 infinitely more fun with a controller (for those of us Princess Jasmine-types that like to mingle with peasant-folk), so it is possible. Just needs to happen on the dev's side.

I'm sure this is like a major Master Race faux pas but I was hoping controller support would have gotten patched in with RoS but HOPES DELETED yadda yadda.

I'm 99% PC and almost never play on consoles but I prefer to play with a controller whenever possible.

I'm not sure which Princess that makes me.

Not bad at all...basically Presequel GOTY w/updated BL2 included. For as much bitching as people do about all the DLC released for the Borderlands series, it's a great deal for what you get. If I would've tried out other characters after finishing up w/my Siren in October I probably could've played for another couple months before really getting bored enough where I would have to move on.

Surprisingly, GG is actually a fairly solid player when it comes to digital distribution. And I don't think Bethesda would have wanted that type of press anyway.

That was due to lack of keys after the gitch. At least that was my understanding. I don't recall Bethesda actually pulling their products from GG.

As I recall, they pulled their catalog, bringing it back during the summer. Here's a post about it. I'm too lazy to research it any more than that though for a throw-away joke.

Ok, I lied about my laziness. Looks like they put the catalog back in May, not summer.
