I think by now, if you're playing games like GTA Online, then you've probably also bought retro skins for your custom Madden rosters and should think about making a major change in your life. Like quitting KFC and getting your GED.

Exactly. People who would normally have zero interest in the online wind up trying it because they think "Well, shit, I bought this five hundred grand and can only use it online..."

Even if YOU would never do it, that's the intent. And, yes, I agree that it's dumb and also view a "sale" where part of the "deal" is online cash as a non-starter.

4myrebate is pretty disgusting. They never sent me a $70 rebate because they didn't want to lose money. When I called, they said it was probably lost in the mail, and I would have to pay a fee of $5.95 to get the card reissued. And they deduct $2 per month starting on the 7th month past issuance.

HP actually sent me two checks when I did rebates for my laptop. I ended up getting $100 back from them. These prepaid cards are only good to convert to Amazon credit.
