Been a while since I fired that bad boy up and rage-quitted... Always a chicken, never a dinner for me....
I was always happy just spotting the player who inevitably would kill me from a mile away. If I actually got a kill myself, fuck ing fugetaboutit!

I think I actually paid $15 (CASH MONEY!!) for it. One of the games I actually feel like I got my money's worth.
I decided to not buy in after I realized I missed out on making a quick buck by not buying PUBG, getting the Twitch pack and selling the Twitch pack to idiots.

Having not been able to make money off of them, I lost interest quickly and went back to playing Shovel Knight.

Fantasy Bundle is pretty solid. $3 for Rune Classic alone is a moderately good deal. Plus you get other bundle poop!

holy crap...how's that even possible
What did you buy from GOG in 2018? I know my last email receipt from GOG that isn't for a free item is from almost two years ago.

But no, Epic can totally compete with Steam just by offering games at good prices. It doesn't need exclusives.

GOG's net profit is to be expected, but wasn't expecting it to be that low. GOG community is vocal, but it's the minority. Hardly anyone buys DRM free anymore

I did buy Gothic 2 from them this year, but yeah, I didn't expect them to be making tons of money, 7.8 thousand is just crazy low

agreed about epic, people might hate it but nobody is paying attention to any other client unless they're forced to

I read people suspect the 7.8k figure is because they're reinvesting most of their gross for tax purposes.  I read something about 34 million in revenue.

I wouldn't be surprised. It's not like CD Projekt RED is hemorrhaging cash after the marketing disaster that was The Witcher 3.

GoG also had that international pricing thing that they literally lost money on and had to give up on, I am sure that didn't help.  And I bought quite a few things from GoG last year, TYVM.  Although I have most of the old games I want now so there are only a few more things I would ever buy there.

We’re so happy to announce this one.
Divinity: Fallen Heroes is a game we’ve wanted to make for a long time. Ever since Dragon Commander, we toyed with the idea of mixing D:OS tactical turn-based combat with Dragon Commander’s decision-making elements. We thought there was a very cool game hiding in there, but we never had the resources to make it. Since then, the idea remained unexplored.

Until now.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DOGsD4SoKkQ

Last year, we gave the D:OS2 engine to Danish studio Logic Artists and asked them to see where it’d take them. Their brief was to develop a game in which your narrative choices affect which missions you can play-- and where your performance during these missions would affect subsequent narrative options.

The result was truly awesome. Thus, some time later this year, there will be a new stand-alone Divinity game featuring all our favourite characters, tactical turn-based combat, and plenty of difficult decisions to make. There’s tons of new combos to discover, tons of combat enhancements and… you can play with a friend in co-op!

The story will see you take on the role of commanders in the Divine Order, charged with arresting the half-demon Malady for stealing the Order's doomsday weapons. Before you know it, you’ll be engaged in a high-stakes play for global domination against none other than the Lord of Chaos himself. Together with the former Godwoken and the unreliable half-demon, you’ll engage in a grand adventure that’ll see you become the last hope of the free world.

To get a first taste of Divinity: Fallen Heroes, check out our brand new shiny trailer. And if you’re lucky enough to attend PAX East, come to our booth and try out the game yourself. We’re demoing an early build to collect feedback.

It’s still early days and we have plenty of work left to do, but do let us know your thoughts and what you would hope to see in Divinity: Fallen Heroes. We’re listening, and as always, your feedback will help us make the game better.
Oh! And check out the game's brand new site: www.divinityfallenheroes.com

In the past two years I've spent $2.35 on five games on GOG.

In that same period I've added ~84 games through GOG Connect and from their promo giveaways.

For me DRM-free was important mainly for older games, but for newer games Steam was my preference (especially due to indie bundles building my library there). I'm guessing many other customers use this same reasoning. Once a person has bought most or all of the digitally available oldies on GOG that they wanted, they don't see much of a reason to continue shopping there unless they are passionately anti-DRM/anti-client/pro-GOG.

Getting Blizzard classics was huge for GOG, though. Those are the kind of flagship releases that bring people to their platform. The challenge is convincing people to stay.

Pretty good "get" for Epic, but this is one of those things I'm cool with waiting for a few years to see it in a bundle anyway.
Yeah, I'll pick up the Borderlands 3 Pretty Collection for $5 on Steam a few years from now so I can be sure to get the 47 DLCs that will come out for it....or not...

Gearbox stream is funny as shit right now.  They keep having technical difficulties and can not get their videos to play and it is just a clusterf*ck of massive proportions.  Anyway 4K remaster of the original Borderlands coming to consoles.  Whoopty-doo.  Still nothing on B3.

B3 looks like more Borderlands.  A bit more scenery variation this time around which makes the chan leaks about multiple planets to visit and multiple vaults sound legit, the character classes also matched up with the chan leak.  Borderlands 1 upgrade will be free if you own it on PC already.

You look trustworthy.

Borderlands 3 confirmed to be Epic Game Store exclusive at PAX East.
Well, that's a shame. I've got a couple of people that I'd probably go through at launch with. I'm far from someone that has to play everything on day 1, but a guaranteed year long wait is pretty shitty. Maybe the Epic store will have a fucking cart by then. >_>

It’s not confirmed epic store exclusive
Give it time~

Anyway, I appreciate they are giving out the BL1 revamp for free versus some devs charging for the same game twice. They are also going to release high res texture packs for BL2 and Pre-sequel.

Re: the trailer for 3. Sort of disappointed the graphics don't seem much improved. Oh well, guess I'll have no problem maxxing the game out on muh bargain-bin 580.

It seems somewhat improved, but i think that type of style holds up well so you don't notice the difference as much as with a more realistic graphical style
