Meh

I haven’t paid any attention to Chrono.gg before, they basically legit?
Check them daily to get the coins. They add two games every two weeks to their coin store. A lot of crap, but they had Dead Cells before, and some other non-bundle stuff. Prices vary.

You don't get many coins per day (like 25ish) but you get chests after certain amounts of days (3, 7, 14, 30 and they don't have to be consecutive). The amounts for chests are about 150, 320, 950, 2000. So it adds up faster than you might think.

I've been having issues with Steam all morning.  I can play games in Big Picture mode on my desktop, but I can't access Steam on any other device including a Chromebook (working from home today on it) and my phone.  On top of that, I can't access the page from Warreni's link that will allow me to claim the Pinball FX3 care package.

I keep getting the following message:

There have been too many login failures from your network in a short time period. Please wait and try again later.

I honestly don't play any other games during these events and I already know the only chance I have to finish this event is to text positive for the coronavirus.

This is pretty shitty since everyone has paid to be part of the Apperal Event.

Oh, looks like contractor gloves and fox kneepads are going to be nerfed soon... .
I've been getting a few a day so I'll complete it but that's also with some actual grinding. Running Lincoln Memorial or DCD on Challenging with four directives on (screw you, special ammo) seems to be the quickest for me.

Waiting to see how hard CG and FK get hit. If they just shave a few percent off then, eh. If they knock them down to, say, 5% then that'll suck.

Do you happen to have any automation farming cards or the like?

I hit that every so often and always forget I have ASF running on a pi somewhere in the house and have to go login to it and punch in a new 2FA code cause its just sitting there failing to login over and over

I had to go to the actual Pinball FX 3 page on the steam app to get the care package.

Nope. I think that it's something with Google Chrome. I reset my password and then it allowed me to log into the Steam Store from my phone, but I still can't find a button to claim the free Pinball FX3 bundle. I have Pinball FX2 installed on my PC, not Pinball FX3, so maybe I already own all the tables associated with the bundle. I'll have to check. But thanks for the suggestion. I was freaking out a little.

Also, here are some more freebies.

Autobahn Police Simulator is free to own on Steam until April 7th.

Gang of Four is free to own on Steam from April 2nd to April 5th.

And the game Clandestinity of Elsie is free to play on Steam (possibly free to own?).

Was just furloughed. Apparently they don't need people when the entire travel industry is shut down, go figure. Thankful to still have my health and my family's health. Hope all of you inglorious bastids and your families stay healthy (AND HOME) as well. Bless you to anyone in the health care field, you are the true heroes we need.

MysterD tell your Mom no matter how bad it gets....she'll never get me to pay.

Glad my Xbone game ass sub is out to 2022. Between that, my 10 pallets of snack size cheetos bags and my 500 gallon propane tank I filled with Mountain Dew, I should be good for about... 3mos or so.

Live long and prosper,

Rich
Glad you finally admit to being richgamer! If you get the same job back once all of this blows over, then it's like you're working 2 jobs! You can demand double the salary and then yell at them about how they don't know basic math when they refuse!

In all seriousness, this national crisis really sucks. I understand the preventative measures being taken, but the worker layoffs will have a huge impact on lots of people, especially when the $1200 stimulus doesn't necessarily cover living expenses for an entire month. Was honestly hoping that the pandemic panic and its consequences wouldn't be this detrimental to regular folk.

It could be worse. We could all be 80-year old smokers living in Italy.

I am considered essential (I'm not) but I'm thankful for no furlough yet (I expect it however).  I do have co-workers that kept complaining about having to work and they got reassigned to a job that would quite literally give me panic attacks.

1 richgamer x 1 COVID-19 disease = 2 TrumpCats

And you can take that to the bank... Er... Unemployment line!

Just finished a new build.

I was able to get in on the 2600x deal at microcenter a few weeks back, and paired it with a Gigabyte Aorus B450 pro WiFi, 16gb ram, and a XFX 5600XT. Looking forward to finally being able to play Disco Elysium and playing Phoenix Point without my computer crashing. My last build was an FX8120 with a HD7870, so this should be a massive upgrade

Awesome! Hope you enjoy your new rig. :)

Would like to hear how performance, settings, and all of this stuff is going w/ your games and whatnot.

FYI the manhunt stuff (missions, bounties, checkpoints) are double XP but only for this week.

I joined others for the Hotel on challenging with some directives... not sure which and the payout was certainly more. Hopefully, Lincoln will have good loot over the weekend.

Massive seems to think they are leading to LMG and rifles being so popular so some think you see them move them to a different brand set... Others think they might become talents but I don't see how gloves/kneepads with talents stay as high end and don't get moved to exotics. Them being exotics would really suck.

I did get the pants I wanted from the Event Cache... So I'll just be playing till I want a break. (I suspect that will be my whole weekend.)

In other news my wife got furlong a week or so ago... It's made her angry and not much fun to hangout with.

I won't ever be furloughed, my job is 2 of the 16 essential industries (government and medical) so I'll be working till I'm either sick, we win this battle, or we are all living the Division instead of playing it.

All these free games are SOCIALISM! Terrible for our country. BAD NEWS!

On another note, I was trying to figure out what RPG I might want to jump into next the other week. I loaded Torment and played that for about a half-hour. It looked like a lot of vocabulary to absorb and systems to learn, which I don't mind doing, but I figured I might check out something else in the meantime. I fired up Divinity: Original Sin 2, which was fantastic. I loved the bizarre and varied backstories of the characters and the world was easy to pick up as I went along. I played that for a few hours before I realized I hadn't ever played Divinity: Original Sin (which I had somehow confused with Larian's earlier game Divinity II, a game I found very difficult to get into). So then I downloaded the first game and I'm going through it. It's not as much fun as the second game, although they bear a lot of similarities. It also seems to share a few roots in common with Larian's even older games, Divine Divinity and Beyond Divinity, chiefly the idea of two main protagonists with differing values who bicker about many things they come across in the world.
I actually really liked D:OS because I love that type of game. It was not easy to get into for me either, at first. It grew on me a bit and I finished it and felt really positive about the series going into the sequel.

D:OS2, on the other hand, does so much more right. It's a really engrossing example of the genre. The good news is that they've fixed the final act (which, I understand was a bit of a mess) and I've had no problems. It's massive, it's varied, and it's fun. Enjoy!

I picked Fane to main, which turns out to have been a really good pick because of the story. He's sort of the central character.

Oh, and no need to finish the first if it didn't click with you. The stories are connected in a way, but not dependent upon one another.

A lot of these recent free games look like stuff I'd find in an IG bundle. I will get Escape From Tethys and likely be disappointed, but it looks OK.

Free is free, and it beats some of those past giveaways with limited supply and websites that would get overloaded, minus the card drops of course.

Too lazy to look back and see if this has been posted but if you are a subscriber Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition is $3.99 on Humble, $4.99 otherwise.

For those that have Bulletstorm: Full Clip:

In the Full Clip version...Is there anything much different, new features, new graphics improvements, new levels, new weapons, new equipment, or anything of much in there compared to the G4WL Version?

Been playing a little bit Disco Elysium and Phoenix point. Really enjoying both games, but haven’t been getting to spend a ton of time with them. I have been getting some random crashes and BSOD issues, with different explanations. I went into the Ryzen Master utility and found that the EDC was hovering around 85-98% while idling. After researching online it seems like people had success with this issue by disabling Precision boost and Core boost in the bios. I could only find the Core boost option in my bios and disabled it and now I’m idling around 40-50% of EDC and it never really seems to jump much while playing Disco

I haven’t had any more crashes or issues since making those changes, hopefully that was the extent of the issues.

Not sure if anyones posted this and definately in the wrong place, but just a heads up to everyone that HBO has free streaming on some of their shows for the month of April.

EDIT - InmateofArkham pointed out to me this is on PC only, so not as decent but leaving it up here in case anyone wants to know.

It also seems to work on Android devices and probably IOS devices. I installed HBO GO on a Kindle Fire tablet and was able to watch several items without being asked for any account info.

Played about 45 minutes of Risk of Rain 2. Honestly I'll likely wait for it be bundled or heavily discounted. It just felt a little unpolished of sorts. Somewhat not as fancy graphics (which don't bother me), not as much of a feeling of effect of any of the gun hits or anything, a little confusing area to explore (open-world type), and lots of respawning enemies. I think one of the things I liked a lot about Risk of Rain was the lack of respawning enemies except for when certain things happen. It also feels like this one is meant more for co-op as the difficulty of bosses seems a bit high for single player. Also the upgrades just didn't feel that special. Everything just felt a bit generic, and honestly I wasn't super impressed. It plays well enough, but it just didn't feel too fun to me. I know it's early access, but yeah I hope it just feels a little bit more special in the world and upgrades and such. The bosses feel cool, but that's about it.

I played it on Xbox One last weekend during the free weekend, and I bought the bundle with the first game on that system after playing it since I had the credit to use from Bing searches. It seemed to be a game that would be more enjoyable as a multiplayer game. That said, I thought it was pretty neat that they were willing to take a chance with the sequel by basically revamping the gameplay by moving from 2D to 3D. The developer has said that it will continue updating the game, so I'm looking forward to whatever updates that are coming. But, yeah, the constantly spawning enemies make it a lot harder in single-player, so I could see how that could upset people who pick it up.

So, I took a trip on the Duke Nukem 3D: 20th Anniversary World Tour.

So much has already been said about how classic the original Duke Nukem 3D: Atomic Edition and its episodes were, way back in the day and over the years. And if you haven't played the old episodes (Episodes 1-4) - well, you should. It was a blast back in the day - and still remains a classic like early & classic Unreal, Quake, Blood and Doom games.

So, we'll talk about the new episode (Episode 5), which is only right now in this package. This episode (Episode 5: Alien World Order) is not in Atomic Edition or Megaton Edition, which would & could be the real attraction of this version of the game, to namely owners of Atomic Edition or Megaton Edition.

Just finished-up Episode 5 (Alien World Order, which was designed by DN3D original developers Richard "Levelord" Gray and Allen Blum III). Took me a little over 4.5 hours, according to Steam. Some thoughts here.

Holy crap, is this episode action-packed. And it's a blast. It's quite good, feeling basically like a new expansion pack or DLC here for Duke Nukem 3D. This is probably the kind of episode, action, and content that people really wanted out of DNF, to be honest.

The level design is really good through-out. There are plenty of interesting levels and varied locations here, in the usual old-school labyrinth level-design of finding all kinds of nooks, crannies, secret areas/room, and whatnot. You'll travel around the world, to levels based in England, Hollywood, Russia, and even France - slaying aliens like only Duke can. There are also lots of huge open-space shootouts & arena-sized shootouts with many of the past enemy types in DN3D and the new enemy, leading to a feeling of being involved in confrontations, action & shoot-outs of epic proportions.

There is a new alien enemy type, new weapon type (Incinerator, which is a flame-thrower), and 8 new levels here in this episode.

Jon St. John is back (as the voice of Duke Nukem), delivering more wise-crackin' and referential lines to things from pop culture, as you'd pretty much expect with a Duke Nukem game. Don't expect a grand story, deep narrative, or any of that, as Duke was never about that. This is a Duke Nukem game...and he's here to wise-crack; make jokes; be lewd; be crude; be crass; and shoot & kick alien ass. And if you're fine with that, you're going to really enjoy Episode 5.

There's another new feature here: you can rewind time and to whatever point you were at before, when you die. You can go back as far as the level began, pretty much! So, sure - you can still quick-save whenever you want; that's still here. But now, when you die, you can also rewind to any point in this game from before your death...and pick-up right wherever you want and for that ideal spot/moment; and to keep you always in the constant onslaught and action. No need to always save and rewind, as you can now rewind - like other older games that have had remasters/re-releases have done (i.e. Flashback). But, great to have both options at your disposal, for whatever reason you might need them for.

While I wasn't super-thrilled w/ the final boss (could've been more than just an enemy re-skin, the new weapon it has, and whatnot) and the ending (not-so-special endings seem par for the course w/ basically old-school Quake and Duke games anyways) - I still had a blast w/ the new episode and easily got my $1.59 worth (being a Humble Bundle Choice subscriber) from the Humble Bundle sale just from this episode/DLC/expansion.

If for some reason you don't own Atomic or Megaton, 20th Anniversary World Tour is a must-buy for classic old-school FPS action from the awesome first 4 Episodes and you also get the new & really good 5th Episode. If you own Atomic or Megaton, you'll really only need the new episode 5 - and that would probably be best, catching this re-release on sale just to get the really good new 5th Episode. And with it on sale now (4/4/2020) at such a cheap price on Humble ($1.99 for non-subscribers of the HBC or $1.59 for HBC subscribers) - now's as good as a time as any, if you're trying to just catch that 5th Episode.

ADDENDUM - 4/5/2020:
So, this is probably worth mentioning for fans of EDUKE32 Source Port. Episode 5 (Alien World Order) from 20th Anniversary World Tour does work in there. Tested it out and it runs just fine. If you're cautious, as always before modifying game files - back-up your old 20th Anniversary World Tour game-folder elsewhere, just in case. Anyways, you can just drop EDUKE32 files right into your Anniversary World Tour folder; replace any files it wants to; run EDuke32.EXE; and you'll be good to go.

Oh, and no need to finish the first if it didn't click with you. The stories are connected in a way, but not dependent upon one another.
I feel like the D:OS2 fights just take so long. I picked Fane also, and undead feels a little overpowered sometimes.
Oh, you misunderstood me. I couldn't get into Divinity II: The Dragon Knight Saga. That game felt like. . . I don't know, maybe Larian trying to do Skyrim? I didn't even get to the part in the story where your character becomes a dragon-person.

The original Original Sin, on the other hand, is decent. I'm playing it now, off and on, but it's a little hard to go back to it after playing the second game, just because the characters in that one are so much more varied and fun. Also, I picked Fane too (he's more popular than I would have thought, it would seem), but it was a close race between him and The Red Prince.

Also, because none of you have anything better to do at the moment, and I think it's still on sale, here's a link to my review of The Complex. TLDR; if you like games that don't really require much participation (or you enjoyed Late Shift), this one's worth the price of a movie ticket (and it's not like any of you can go to the movies anyway, is it?!).

Anyone know if those Amazon digital credits you got for selecting non-prime shipping can be applied to digital download PC games?

FYI, I posted a "20% ROI on GameStop/Xbox GC's @ Rite-Aid between April 5-11" deal here:
https://www.cheapassgamer.com/topic/371744-/

Yes, it's only for store credit at Rite-Aid, but it's not hard to find cleaning products, medicine, candy, or toilet paper there. Also, the GameStop credit can be used to purchase either PSN, Nintendo, Steam, or (additional) XBOX credit from the GameStop website.

I liked it at least nearly as well as the first but it has a sorta steep learning curve which is easier to get past with friends. Of course it also might have changed substantially since I last played it, it is one of many games I have meant to go back to. I was overwhelmed at first but actually looped (cleared the available stages, went through them again and died when stuff was so powerful normal enemies could one-shot me) after getting used to playing. Game is very confusing to find your way around in at first, but that went away for me with more playtime as well. Not sure if it is a limited amount of map generation or if I just got used to figuring out where to find stuff. It does suffer a bit from powerful/weak runs, when you learn what to look for you can build insanely powerful runs if the right stuff shows up but similarly you can end up with a really weak build with bad items choices/bad drops/spawns. It is like Isaac in that regard, the more you play the more you understand the systems and the better you get but can be extremely overwhelming early on. It is definitely a "more fun the more you play it" game though and you need to enjoy the gameplay enough to get to that point in the first place so I'm sure some folks will bounce right off it.

Saints Row peaked with The Third, in my opinion, but I don't know that I'd want to buy a remastered version.
I cannot even imagine why you would need to remaster the PC version.

If they really want to remaster one it should be the orginal. It was only ever released on one platform (360) and in some ways it's always been my favorite.
