I could tell you, but I think there's already enough Day Drinking today (Thanks HB!).

[customspoiler='Drink!']http://store.steampowered.com/app/291190/[/customspoiler]
<does a spit-take of his Day Drinking drink of choice> How is that game 11.99 on the steam store? And how is it not in Early Access?

When I voted the game in to get the free steam key (I'm why we can't have nice things, I know, I know) I commented that the art looked like a 14 year old boys notebook fantasy porn... and they responded that they were trying to improve it. I definitely don't deserve the Tina Fey bitches gif this time because that art still looks like ass.

Well, since you waited for me. . .

I don't disagree with anything you said.

I just think that it's not the horrible piece of trash everyone claims that it is. It's a well-crafted (except for certain aspects having to do mostly with the excessive reuse of assets and substantial lack of tactical options in combat) action RPG. It's not a sequel to Dragon Age: Origins in any meaningful sense of the term.

For what it's worth, I'm not sure Inquisition will be either. Everything I've seen thus far suggests that it will be much closer to DA2 than DA:O.
From what I seen - especially from that Alpha, DA:I looks to be mixing some of the elements from DAO (epic storyline; tac-cam returns) and DA2 (flashier graphics + flashier looking combat).

Well, DA2 was once on Steam, until it got kicked off - since EA loves to do exclusive DLC...especially BioWare and their damn BioWare Points and BioWare DLC Store.

DA:O's a masterpiece - agreed.

I think everybody who loves strategic-style RPG's where you control a whole party yourself - i.e. see BG2, NWN1: Hordes, and NWN2 + Mask + Zehir - should certainly play DAO.

Awakening expansion is pretty good - it's essentially "more of the same", which ain't a bad thing. It just lacks the fresh-ness, polish, and greatness that the original DAO had going on.

Also, Leilana's Song DLC is really good; and Witch Hunt DLC was good untill all to brief and numerous thread-dangling very end....

IMHO, DA2 had the nearly impossible task of trying to follow-up the original masterpiece. Recycled areas WAY too much; lack of polish; lack of overhead tac-cam from the original; lack of the strategic-style battle; choices not often making enough impact; story is nowhere as epic as the original in scope; and other things really hurt DA2 from even getting close to the league of the original. That said - I still liked DA2, even despite its laundry list of problems. It's good, but it ain't the masterpiece that DAO is.
I've always wondered... are you getting paid per letter or hourly?

(I probably will use my Gabenbucks on DAO now though, so thanks.)

Neither.

I think and type quite fast. If you didn't know, I absolutely love to write and type. What you see, is pretty much what I am exactly thinking - a stream of conscienous type of thing.

Air Control (remember that game? And I use the word game loosely here) is shaping up to be another shit show with the developer accused of using copyrighted assets, then claiming he changed them and the video is old because he hasn't updated the Desura version in 6 months (never mind the fact that some people paid for it there). Now he seems to be going on a censoring and banning spree on his forum and had a negative review removed.
You mean I may have wasted a quarter?

All this talk of early access and stupid devs is distracting us from what's really important: Good deals on good games.

I'll start with this. I was sold as soon as I read the one sentence game description: "A Romantic Comedy Visual Novel that follows a group of characters who suddenly have to adjust to putting on a bra every morning." Also one of the devs said the game won't end up in a bundle (lol) so there's that.

A Better Way to Redeem Your Key

MAY 8 - LEGACY GAMES

Hello PRS team!

We've noticed a number of you have still been emailing us the incorrect information for your keys. To make it easier for everyone, we've partnered with Who's Gaming Now to create a better key redemption system.

Please check it out here:

The instructions should be plenty clear. If you have not already received your Steam key from us, all you need to do is be a member of this Steam group, enter the email address you would like the key to be sent to, then login with your Steam account. The keys will be sent out in batches every few days.

Admittedly, we should have done this from the very beginning. We apologize for all the delays and thank you again for your support! Happy ghost hunting!
YA THINK?

<insert obligatory facepalm image>

I'm glad I got it from Groupees so I don't have to deal with that shit.

If it wasn't so damned nichexpensive I would buy that Gender Bender Windows Paint game and gift it to Idiotekque as a sign of my friendship.

I was just going to comment that they're pretty much phoning it in today and this weekend.

As many times as EA has put DAO on sale, you'd think they could make some lousy Felicia Day Fanboi game of the millennium edition of Dragon Age 2 or something and just put it back up on Steam with all the fan service DLC packed in. They're probably too lazy to do even that. And the gaming community is better off for it, really.

I was about to complain that you had to download the client in order to get this because I'm at work and want to "buy" it NOW but can't and then my order came through. Without downloading the client.

So never mind.
Origin rocks doe.

I might have agreed with you, but then I played Realms of Arkania 'HD'.
I'm afraid to boot it back up, but strangely enough the bad reviews on Steam have turned to good ones, saying that the devs are working on it like crazy, fixing things, and that they're even going to release a "Gold" version once it's all fixed up, re-releasing it, and giving it free to everyone who has the game now.

Every time I read that I see "Kill Yourself" in it.

Motoki preordered that one.

What's really ludicrous about that game is that they got a psychotic amount of money on Indie Go Go, something like $20,000+, and the game is finished and released now and it has art that I could have fucking drawn. It's utterly terrible.

You can get art a thousand times better than that just by jumping on DeviantART and paying someone for some commissions. For dirt cheap too. So ridiculous that that dev made so much kickstarter money and seemingly didn't even use it. Probably pocketed it.

As much as we consumers would love Complete Editions for DA2, ME2, and ME3....

...The thing is - BioWare and EA have probably made a killing off of BioWare Points + their DLC's by selling them at such a premium (i.e. barely every on sale) on games like Mass Effect 2 + 3.

Combination of the developer hounding everyone who wrote a negative review to change it or delete it and dirty European fanbois with rose colored glasses longing for the yesteryear days of boxed retail CRPGs. I suspect there's some dev shills/friends in there too. He did a good job of whitewashing, I'll give you that. And I did try it with all the updates. It's a polished turd.

Plus Steam reviews are a joke anyway. Unless it's a universally reviled game like War Z or Garry's Incident the fanbois and shills will rate you down to oblivion not matter how well articulated your review is. I see that shit all the time. Some lame ass short review liking a game that doesn't give any useful info gets rated more "useful" than detailed negative review that clearly states reasons to back up not recommending the game. I guess people don't bother sifting through reviews and upvoting negative ones for games they don't like unless it's something from some idiot developer that totally stirs the pot with the community by going nuts with the censorship.

I briefly pondered buying it but once I read furries I was out. I can deal with gender changing but furries creep me the hell out.

And yeah, it's nuts how much money he got for that trash poorly constructed game with horrid art. I think it's just because it serves a niche fetish community who are generally ignored by game producers.

That literally has nothing to do with what I said.

Wait, what?

Something isn't right here. The word "spanking" is in a post without any speeling mistakes.
I have to ask - we all know that tyfreak MUST be Tebow's new account at this point right? We're just pretending it's not him for whatever reason?

PS: "speeling" lol I hope that was on purpose.. or maybe I don't? :)

Bingo. The fetish market is an untapped market with a lot of income they're willing to burn to get their rocks off because of a lack of available material. How do you think half the "artists" on DeviantArt make a living? Why do you think it's called DeviantArt? :p

It's not like you're going to have competition from big publishers or anything when it comes to porn games.

-snitching-
Nah, if anyone's Tebow it's r333k0, who's trying to use tyfreak to divert suspicion. :p

But the more important thing is that you snitched, and snitches get stitches in these here parts. :shame:

I imagine our local pink font-using kneecap breaker would like a word with you.

A screen from World End Economica Episode 1.

<Weeaboo VN Picture snipped>
Someone on Reddit said that's going to be in some future Groupees bundle. One of the Clash of the Worlds ones I think.

So just in case you were thinking about being a FakeCAG with it, don't.

I don't have the source but most likely it was the AOL Groupees chat room so good luck finding it.

Guys, stop reporting tyfreak. It's my alt-account.. you're gonna get me banned!

I'm pretty sure BoobyTastic is the real tebow.

LOL, I haven't been paying too much attention to CAG the past few days (even though the tab's been open) - I thought maybe I'd missed something when I was catching up. By the third or fourth post I was shaking my head at all the "hey he sounds kind of like tebow would if he tried a little bit" posts. :)

On a side note - if you liked the first Captain America & haven't seen the second yet - you'll probably like that one too. I just saw it today and enjoyed it. I was going to wait for DVD, but had been hearing a lot of good things...

He didn't tell me during our Steam conversation today. He's supposed to give me daily bundle updates, what an asshole.
I'm sorry, as a 1 time gesture I'll give you a full refund for your subscription to spoderman daily. If you want to resubscribe, I'll give you 50% off for the first year!

Does anyone remember when Preedatore would post regularly, as opposed to just popping in every week or two with trolling/quasi-trolling one-liners?

Lol. I post way more than once a week. It's too much effort to post in sarcasm font on mobile. It is sarcasm. Sheesh
That sarcasm is too easily mistaken for the truth, it might even be the truth.

Please be more clear if you're posting the truth cloaked in sarcasm or an alternate-reality sarcastitruth where you describe one of our parallel worlds sarcastically.

How does one get an invite to the BGCQ group?
Sent you a PM. Since I know you, the blood sacrifice will be commuted. You can also send Spoony a PM too. Motoki, did you leave again?

Please sign our online petition to help bring back WGN:

Today I finally found out from Steam support why the group was disabled. It's because we were running contests on the forum (contests hosted elsewhere were fine). It wasn't because of our greenlight promotions or certain individuals.

It turns out that contests are against the TOS which I was not aware of before and I still think it's pretty unfair for us to be shut down without warning.

So what's happening now? I'm working on a new website which I'll have up as soon as I can.

I need your help though, please sign the petition (even if it's only to humor me) and spread the word. If there's any web developers about, I'd also love to hear from you too. If you think you can help in any way possible, please feel free to add me on Steam and comment on my profile if my friends list is full.

Thanks for all your messages. I really appreciate it and hopefully we can put this all behind us soon.
Signed.

Yes. I don't want any drama with the squirrel and having him have Spoder spy on me on his behalf to see if I am coming to X event or whatever because it would be, like, awkward or something if we are both playing Sonic racing RPG and one or both of our asses has a bug up it because I have more trashy games than him. Or something. Ain't nobody got time for that.

I'm still in the Diablo group and that's mostly what I've been playing these days anyhow.
