So I just read her DA, and while's clearly cuckoo for cocoa puffs, she's intelligent, which makes it all the more tragic.

So, after the update to the Steam client today (I'm on beta), every game I have installed since (about eight of them) says last played today.  Kinda odd.

Why does it matter? People have different tastes in games, it's not worth getting worked up over or trying to change the kind of games they like. It'd be like me ridiculing you for disliking stuff like Titanfall, there's no point in it.

Mine was doing that last week, but the last install didn't do it at all so not seems a bit odd. If I hadn't played them, I check to see if it is just bundle games or not (since the one not doing it I got the key from GMG).

Pretty interesting....I remember seeing the original Kickstarter and finding no rule book, her wanting to use a bunch of fancy pieces, laser etched planets or something and bunch of those stones you find at Michaels. All red flags IMHO and she didn't really want to communicate the with the community at the time (I'm a member of boardgamegeek as well). I'm glad I didn't buy into her game.....but yeah that Journal from deviant art....ramblings....I'd rather read that Haiku's of Johnny Cappuccino and that's saying a lot! She just got in over her head for the game and BAM crazy ramblings and excuses and the poor backers are stuck. Board/Card games can be expensive....heck the Glory to Rome Black Box Kickstarter guy lost his house I think.

Yeah, I heard about that a while back. Really sad.

There was also that game reviewer on YouTube who killed himself supposedly because he couldn't deliver on the project he got funded for on Kickstarter, but had already spent all or the majority of the money he received from backers on keeping him and his wife afloat while he was unemployed and looking for work.

Some quick impressions... I'm about 2 hours into the game based upon steam. (110 minutes to be precise.)

The Quick: Anyone who was impressed/interested with the game play video that got posted a week or so ago will likely still be the same. It does seem to be very game play light. Its sort of LA Noire without gun fighting/car chases. Its also lacking the integrations but has its own sort of puzzle elements in their place. You find clues, make deductions, etc. You have three chances (I guess, I've never failed three times in a row) to make the proper deductions. (Obviously, if you don't have the right clue(s) found you're going to fail the deductions.

If you don't like moving around in an environment looking for stuff to interact with you will likely find the game to be boring... (but the game play video likely already told you this.)

More Thoughts: Some of the clues you have to find are blatantly obvious to the point you might not realize you have to find them... aka the main character touches/interacts with them in a cut scene and even talks about them...

The Bad: The save system absolutely sucks... You spend a huge amount of time discovering stuff in the environment (most of it for side stuff it seems) and the game doesn't save when each is discovered like most modern games do. There's also side cases you can solve, and yet again the game doesn't save when you solver one... and as far as I can tell there is no manual save. The game only saves when it feels inclined to do so. (I exited the game after a cut scene and having traveled to a new locations.so one would assume that would be a save point... Apparently, it is not.

Now, I'm sure I can get caught up in a handful of minutes if I play the game when its all fresh... but that's also a sign of limited or low replay ability.

So in conclusion: If the story holds up than I feel in the end that I got good deal... (I'll be able to avoid spoilers and whatnot.) but if it all falls apart... Well, shame on me for getting it early. (Even ay a steal of a deal.)

All of my keys are currently doing this, from various sources, bundle or not. Weird. The only Playfire rewards I've been trying to accrue are first plays and now that isn't even possible.
