That game just didn't respect your time.
Games that one feels the need to drop for a while b/c it's getting to them for whatever reason (i.e. starting to get monotonous, repetitive, feel the need to play something else just for a break, etc) -- that's right, freaking do it! This is even more so especially true, if the game you are wanting to drop is known to be a time-sink (i.e. Far Cry 3, Skyrim, TDU2). Also, games that are is not super-duper story-heavy (Far Cry 3) and/or have a ton of freaking side quests (Skyrim) - these should be that much easier to just drop for a bit; as they should be easy to just pick right back up, at a later said date.

Just come back later, when the time's right - think a few weeks or few months down the line. You'll feel like you've basically just bought an expansion pack or Season Pass - when in reality, it's back to the Main Game you've already paid for.

I've been quite a bit away from FF13 - b/c after 18 hours of it, I just needed to get away from it for a while. So, that went on hold. Gone Home got in a the way for a short bit, as I needed to play something short after something that was a bit of time-sink. Now, after 47 hours of AC IV: Black Flag w/ the SP - that's right, I'm done w/ that game; I'm not continuing the SP or touching the MP anytime soon. I need something else, after that much AC4.

Apparently the deal ended abruptly as the site now shows it regular price. Some people on Reddit reported the site seemed to be down for a bit not long ago so I don't know if this was an intentional sale or what. They had no timer and no clear info how long the sale was for or when it started. Also no price tracking site tracks them AFAIK.
I look a gamble on that... two hours since I ordered... no key yet, according to reddit and some other CAGs that's par for course with them.

Their site appeared under heavy load when I checked out. Apache/CentOS... I'm guessing they have in-house/small-time server hosting.

I'll post when I get my key or refund.

And impressions too. We need impressions. You are our resident car game expert and we need advice on which car games to buy and then never play.

I admit I probably look at the activity feed at least once a day to get ideas for possible wishlist stuff or to see if I'm missing some deal that I didn't know about.
+1 for this. I've gotten many tips to buy or wishlist games via my activity feed. The downside is that it works as Valve intended and makes me spend more money.

I was surprised at the number of CAGs picking up Prison Architect on the Steam Sale, after it had been a ~$2.50 incremental on the BTA of Humble Indie Bundle 12. (A similar case could be made for Crimzon Clover in Humble Flash Shmups bundle.) ...although neither of those are bundlefodder, nor do I expect extra copies of those to be floating around.
I posted bundle stuff in a separate spoiler'ed haul list, because e-peen.

That bundle gives me nightmares to this day. In retrospect, I should have probably just ponied up the $10, but at the time $7 seemed like a pretty high second-tier price and I already had a couple of games in the bundle. I kind of figured some of the other games would have dropped faster in price, but they didn't. Had I been smart and bought tier 2, I would have undoubtedly thrown down a deuce to get tier 3.

Now, I think I own everything in that bundle. I probably paid a few bucks more picking them up separately, but it's a done deal. I try not to think about that one..

I bought in at the $10 3rd tier and grumbled. Hard. At that point I knew that Humble had won with their nefarious plans for price manipulation.

Well that sucks. Hopefully it was legit and maybe they just ran out of keys/reservations. Like Asheskitty, I'm still in limbo as I made my purchase just a little under 4 hours ago. Even when I checked out their site was crawling along. I guess we'll find out... sometime... soon?

Just to point it out.. Kingdom of Amalur can cause motion sickness when you turn.  Just FYI.  You can minimize the motion blur when you turn but it's there.

I apparently need to buy more bundles.. idle master is now... idling.

Yeah, that was a very solid BTA for me.. after some deliberation.. I added the two-and-change to grab Prison Architect... to free myself from it's mystique... and so I could scoff at it getting a Daily Deal slot *again* (while -still- being EA).

On the upside, the Steam store is really just a kickstarter for Half Life 2 Episode 3. Every purchase pushes us closer to that reality. If we are really lucky and hit the $100,000,000,000 stretch goal Half Life 3 will begin early almost but not really just to test the waters pre alpha concept artwork , just to see if there's any potential in continuing the series.

Apparently people on Reddit are getting emails from Funstock about the Grid Autosport deal that there was a "technical issue" and they "are not able to compte your order at this stage". They're offering refunds while giving vague talk about "working on a solution". They aren't out and out canceling the orders yet, but it sounds like they are stalling hoping that people will cancel voluntarily.

Also, an actual Funstock rep posted the deal on Reddit earlier today but it got yanked as a dup since someone else slightly beat him to it.

I'd be pissed if I paid full price for Empress of the Deep, I'd be asking for refunds like a mother.  Beat in 3 hours played.

That's not unreasonable at all for a 5 dollar game. Gone home is shorter than that and is twenty bucks. Plenty of AAA shooters are 10 hours or less and full price is 60, etc.

Sins of a blah blah

Free Beta (Early Access) copy of Sins of a Dark Age, a soon to be f2p MOBA.

The site is running like molasses, but you'll need to make an account and redeem from the linked page.

It's no Force Unleashed $60 for 4 hrs, no.. but I'm a CAG. I wouldn't pay that for those games. While I do sometimes buy something AT price.. it's VERY rare anymore.

^ Video also applies to anyone who bought Empress of the Deep. It's a crap hidden object game, what did you expect?
I expected a hidden object game.. and given how EASY it is to program hidden objects.. I thought maybe it'd have some replayability or something. To be fair.. I only did it because I bid on the stupid thing for my Winter Badge... so (shrug)

Well the DLC is completely cosmetic. Just characters and weapon skins. They don't give you any added perks or strengthen your characters or anything. We buy the DLC to support the dev because we love the game and it was so cheap for how much we got out of it. So other than that, there really is no reason to buy the DLC. The game with some DLC was in a Groupees bundle a few years back so I don't doubt a complete version will show up in a bundle one day.
Except for the communtiy weapons packs, but of course not every single weapon is worth it. Those flare pistols are a game-changer for the firebug, and the buzzsaw bow is pretty fun and useful in the right hands.

Bundle fodder = games that have been in bundles or are highly likely to be in them in the future.
*in a reasonable tier. Wouldn't call The Last Federation for $15 bundle fodder, not to say it won't be some day.

Wait what? I like old lady big fishy hidden object games and even I know they ain't got no damned replayability. I mean once you find the spot where the object is hidden...well, yeah.

I'd think that there would be a lot of replay value for old ladies. If you don't remember playing it the last time then it's always new.

I dunno.. I expected something like Disney Hidden World ... where the different areas can be replayed with different objects being searched for. It's not a big deal, it's my assumption. But still. I also remember Myst being Brutal with it's difficulty. This was not.

Uh if you want brutal I don't think you should be looking for Hidden Object games that are sold on Big Fish.

Go play some 2hard4u hipster pixel crap or something.

Got a couple of grandmas up in here.
Hey at least I admit it.

Did I take my heart pills today? Also, where was the belt hidden to fix the spinning wheel so I can make the rope to drop out of the tower?
