SteamDB already shows that they changed the Sniper Elite 3 app info and locked the old keys. They're also region-locking just about everything else that's popular.

I think the only way to be 100% certain a Steam key is legit would be to make sure it is from AMD promo and in this case a simple screenshot of the redeem key email will be a good proof of the source.

Care to explain what other games that are being locked ? keys or gifts ?

That sucks. I bought a Witcher 3 key on here for cheap other day and activated it should I be worried about those too? I'm not even sure how someone can get keys like that to sell so cheaply before a game even comes out...
