Is it part of the brilliance that it feels like so much more of a hassle to trade cards than just to buy them, with gabenucks or otherwise?

Well, it doesn't help that if you go to the "official" trade forums, everybody wants you to trade them two cards for every one card that you want. I said, "F that" and bought the cards I needed for Skyrim this morning. This is pretty much what I use my Gabe$ for.

I have traded a few one-for-ones with friends, but I felt like it was an imposition even to ask. I've also traded a bunch of spare bundle keys for cards.

Enhanced Steam tells me that I've got a net $21.44 spent. That also accounts for some TF2 MVM tickets I grabbed to play with friends and a few other transactions, but it mostly represents the Trading Card stuff. I think that's what I said I'd put in at the beginning of this thing (might've been 5), but I'm pleased with my entertainment return (L40, profile showcases, crackdeer) so far. That could blow up tomorrow tho, depending on what kind of event they run.
