I appreciate them but it is misleading to have extra features on the case but not include the disc that carries those special features.

I'm just reporting in which has two disc or not.

I honestly thought Shawshank Redemption/Matrix would have 2-disc considering it was originally priced 24.99 and these two are relatively old in comparison to Suckerpunch/Sherlock Holmes which was suppose to be 19.99 originally.

here's my haul:
Wow. Figures that rather then appreciating the fact that Best Buy has finally gotten a good shipment of steelbooks AND put them on sale for $14.99 people would rather complain that they don't have the extras...

Well then don't buy them and instead leave them for those that appreciate them for the steel book.
So I'm assuming you're not the least bit annoyed that they basically copied the Canadian steelbooks and took out stuff such as the inside artwork and bonus features I can buy in the cheaper regular case editions (cause we're 'merica and we have to cut costs whenever possible) ?

Sherlock Holmes was two-disc only if you picked up the BD / DVD combo, otherwise it's a single disc.

Looks like I have to add in Hangover into my single-disc steelbook replacements, as it's also a single-disc.
Really? So people should just be happy that they're buying steelbooks that advertise special features but don't include them? Wow, I guess we should just all shut up and be thankful that our merciful Gods Best Buy and Warner Bros. hath bestowed upon us the magical gift known to people of the North, and people of the west as the almighty Steelbook, and not whisper a bad word upon it. I'm sure on some other planet your logic is infallible, but your weak link is: this is Earth
This post made my morning :applause:

While I do feel some collectors have a false sense of entitlement and are never satisfied, in this case, it's a clear example of false advertising and people who spent money on a product did not get what was advertised have a right to voice their criticisms and concerns.

Now I do think when it comes down to it this was an unintentional oversight, but such errors end up making consumers suffer, at least initially, and that is never a good thing.

To make the whole "they pulled regular copies of the movie and put them in steelbooks" theory even more legitimate, some users on other forums are reporting that the theatrical cut of Sucker Punch was in their steelbook, and other users are reporting getting the extended cut.

That would explain all the loose discs because I shook two at my store before finding one solid. Any way to tell from the disc? I opened mine last night just to inspect it so I didn't know to look for such a discrepancy. We ask for more steels in the US and this is what we can expect? Wow, they can fuck off.

This is a WB issue, not Best Buy. It explains why releases were being shipped back a few months ago.

No idea on an external way to tell, but if you toss the disc in, the extended cut is 2:07:30, the theatrical is 1:50:00 ish.

oh shoot, glad I didn't swap out my original copy of Inception I bought at the Upgrade/Save promo. Now have to think if it's worth it to return it and keep the SB version. I bought the SB version because the features matched what was on the nonSB version. That's a bit slimey.

I'm pretty sure everyone is getting the exact same disc in the sucker punch steel, some people are just mistaken. I doubt they pulled them from regular sets or anything.

If you didn't get the extended version, you aren't missing anything. The musical number was god awful. Ruined the movie for me. On my third viewing of this movie, including seeing it in the theaters and enjoying it, I found myself fast forwarding to the dance/fantasy sequences because I couldn't stand the mess of story in between. I traded in my copy.

yep next week they'll be $9.99. Kind of hilarious and rather idiotic that they'd do that so quickly after everyone's buying them this week for $14.99. Guess Best Buy loves giving their customer service more work, and wasting the time of their customers. Glad I didn't buy any yet. But I guess it's best they do it now within the adjustment period, rather than wait till after and really piss customers off.

Should be fun to get back $50 + tax when it's all said and done for the orders I did yesterday for the 10 I picked up between two orders on BB.com.

Plus, some people picked them up at the higher price than the $14.99, so they'll get two price adjustments in 30 days. Even more fun.
I'd buy some for $10
Yeah, at the $10 price, not only will I price match my previous purchases, but I'll prolly try to grab Sucker Punch, The Hangover (Possibly #2 for the set, even though the movie is garbage.), Book of Eli, and 300.
should have no problem price adjusting if I did online pickup right?
You have to call Best Buy Customer Care, though no, it's not a big issue.

even better if i dont have to go to the store

These steel books aren't limited or anything right? Like in a month when I've got more $$$ I could go pick up a few? (Or most of them. Damn it who am I kidding I have no will power I'd buy them all)

I'm actually pround of myself for not going nuts and buying all of them but only the ones I either do not have or just to complete a steelbook set (ie. Batmans, Hangovers, Sherlock Holmes (for when the new one comes out), Book of Eli (never had)...)

I already grabbed the two Batmans, so I'll get those pricematched and then trade in a few games with the 100% bonus (Skyrim, DKC Returns, others if they hold close to what they are now) and grab some more $10 steels (maybe some digis too depending on their price).

They'll be gone in a month. They probably won't even last all of next week now that they're being featured in the weekly ad and on sale for $10.

Yeah I'll definitely double dip on both Batman's and get Shawshank for $10. Might double dip on the Hangover as well.

Well screw it then. I don't NEED these so I think I will just pass all together. I think adding another expensive niche to my already ungodly entertainment collecting addiction is the last thing I need to do right now.

Hell yeah I'm getting $85 back.
Honestly majority of these titles are easily worth $5 for the BD itself and $5 for the steelbook case.

Damn though, I might want to pick up Book of Eli and Gree-yeah nope still can't make myself buy Green Lantern.

thats what i said, but here i am 300 dollars in the hole.

Anything new/different about the new Batman movies? I have Dark Knight on blu-ray from original release...

Think I might get both because having 1 in steel and the other not would eventually get to me haha

Thanks for the heads up. Got some gorgeous steelbooks.
If you have a choice, you may want to pick them in store instead of ordering online.
I had a hard time looking for copies with no damage of any kind.
Lot of them had chipping around corners & edges

You TRUST bestbuy to get the steels instead of the amarays?:lol::lol:
You TRUST bestbuy to get the steels instead of the amarays?:lol::lol:
They did when I picked mine up on Tuesday. Sucks that I'll have to call to get the price adjustment though.
think these will be restocked for sunday? wondering if I should just buy now and priceadjust sunday.
I would just buy now so you can at least pick and choose.
There was quite a few of them with loose disk.

Better safe then sorry.

loose discs dont really bother me since I already own 16 of the 20. i'd just replace the discs with the ones I have if they are that banged up. I was planning on going in sunday and trade some games in with the 100% trade bonus and use the credit to buy some of these. gah......i'll probably just wait. hope I can get what I want.

They're Batman Begins is a single disc edition with the movie. I've got all of the movies that I'm buying, I just want the steelbooks.
I was planning on staying away from these but $9.99 is hard to ignore. Are the Batmans complete with special features?
Batman Begins is single disc. The Dark Knight is two discs.

A sane man would go in Sunday, get the price adjustment and walk out. I on the other hand will price adjust and walk out with a few more lol.
