Nope, movies are region locked. So, it's still important to check the region in movies. Some movies are region - free.

Is there a way to get the GI Joe: Retaliation steelboook for cheaper then $29.99 at Walmart? I see all kinds on eBay for low $20's (new) with BIN.

That means unless someone stole a carton filled people are getting them for much cheaper. I really want one but not for $30 bucks and I don't really want to buy it off of eBay either.

They probably got Walmart to PM Best Buy with the U&S coupon. It was $15 at release week and Walmart is supposed to accept competitor coupons.

So I bought the Trainspotting and Kill Bill steels from Zavvi. Both look awesome, but both are locked Region B. heads up to anyone.

Hopefully The Little Mermaid one is region free, cause not only is it expensive, re-buying it here to put in the steel will also be expensive. I know someone here has said it will be but I won't believe it till it's in my player lol.

Thanks. Yeah it's cool, I just used the US discs I already had put them in the steels.

Also, little mermaid was said to be region free in this thread, it's listed as B on blu-ray.com. Anyone have links to anything saying otherwise?

I have this player and it works great.. You plug in a code with your remote and it becomes any region you want.

Yeah I was thinking about getting a region from or region 2 player. I think I read in this thread that we can't firmware update, so that made me not wanna jump on one.

Also, yes, the Jungle Book is region locked.

My post appears to have been deleted but i have samsung bdc5900 current firmware that works great for region free playback. Just gotta look up the tutorial on how to do it orei and oppo make great ones oppo is a bit pricey but orei will get the job done for the price which is pretty low although higher than some its worth it cause they typically are alot more hassle free than other brands.
