Picked up the 22 Jump Street Steelbook and two Pokémon TCG multi-packs, but the cashier wasn't really paying attention and placed the Steelbook in the bag without ringing it up. I guess he figured the Pokémon cards couldn't be worth $24, so he did not bother to check.

If I were an honest and pure soul, I would have pointed out the mistake. But I'm not, so free Steelbook for me!

Honesty works both ways. I'm sure if you were overcharged for the steelbook, you'd be taking care of pointing it out immediately.

Zavvi said the specifically held back some product for this years Black Friday sale, so it's unlikely something long gone like Frozen will come back unforunately.

Only time I've gotten it shipped from them was Django, and it came in a polybag and bent. I exchanged it in stores.

Edit: Got my Zavvi Guardians of the Galaxy steelbook in. It shipped sooner than expected, when I was still trying to figure out if I wanted to cancel it. Still undecided on whether to put it up on ebay. It does say region A, B, C though.

I got my Metalpak for Dawn of the Planet of the Apes in the mail today, and once again, it was packed in a cardboard mailer instead of just a flimsy plastic envelope. Probably safe to say this isn't a fluke and Best Buy has wised up about shipping their metal case movies better.

Drive and DotPotA both arrived in flawless pristine condition, by the way.

Anyone have any idea or any advance knowledge of the Best Buy Gallery 1988 steels dropping from $14.99 to $9.99 at any point? Love a lot of them but they would be re-buys and I can't justify paying more than $10 a pop.

I contacted customer support and they only offered 10% refund even after I told them I wanted to exchange it for an undamaged copy. Needless to say I won't be buying from zavvi again!

Is this a common thing with zavvi or am I just lucky?

I haven't had any problems but have read from some people if you make complaints about your order they sometimes just ban your credit card.

I have never had a damaged Steel from Zavvi and all of them have come in the thin boxes.

I do wonder how 2 packages shipped at the same time come to my house a week apart, however.

maybe try contacting them again? I got a full refund on a damaged steelbook (I've ordered a few times from them before, not sure if that made a difference)
