That DX match was crap... I thought that once it was down to 2 vs 1, Trip was gonna turn on Shawn (since Shawn is supposedly sick of DX already). But it looks like we'll have to deal with DX at least until Summerslam.

anyone from around cincy that has time warner cable?

any idea why the hell they changed smackdown's time from fri 8:00pm to sat 2:00 am???

i've missed it the last two weeks cause of that crap. i finally looked online and saw they moved to two freakin o'clock in the morning. what the hell?

Austin Tx KXAN-NBC cock blocked us from seeing SNME and replacing it with Four f'n Weddings and a G'damn Funeral.

Mark Henry was injured in the Six Man Tag Team Match at Saturday Night’s Main Event. He is currently diagnosed with a fractured patella and a possible patella tendon rupture.

If the diagnosis holds up after further diagnosis, he is due to have surgery later this week with Dr. James Andrews.

WWE Dr. Ferdinand Rios says Henry faces four to six months of extensive rehabilitation if he indeed needs surgery.

Due to the injury, Henry will not be at the Great American Bash press conference on Monday July, 17th.

Tune in to Friday Night SmackDown to find out what will happen with Batista’s match, which had been against Henry.

Check back at WWE.com for more information as this story unfolds.
o man sucks for henry.. did he sign a extension or is his contract up soon?
According to wiki

Henry's ten-year contract which he signed in 1996 after he participated in the Olympics will expire in August 2006. It has been confirmed that Henry will have an extension in his contract, rumored to be for another year. However, Henry will now earn less than he did on the original contract.

Hopefully the WWE won't renew it now and we will never see Mark Henry again.

I wonder when the day will come that wwe acknowledge tna exists.

The same day that Mark Henry wins the Cruiserweight Title. ;)
What exactly led up to the Mark Henry injury? I missed it.
It looked like it was either him exiting the ring or getting knocked off the apron. You could clearly see him writhing in pain outside the ring and Nick Patrick held up the "X" to indicate that he was legitimately injured (so I guess that is true about the "X"). Towards the end of the match I didn't even see him around the ring and the ending looked a bit improvised.

Dunno. I don't have Time Warner, but I do have DirecTV; nevertheless, it's the same UPN station (Channel 38). Since I tivo it and never watch it when it's actually on, I can't say why they changed it. Probably because it sucks, and whatever other crap they have gets better ratings or more advertisers.

Jesus, read the thread, willya!?!? ;)
man what a rhino promo!!! i leave for tna victory road tomm morning... cant wait

i dont know if he shoulda trashed the title like that. but everything he aid came from the heart
You're not really dumb enough to think that he really burned his ECW title, are you? I sure hope not. Nevertheless, enjoy the PPV tomorrow. It should be good, and if you're lucky, in four weeks you can go live to see Samoa Joe win the NWA Heavyweight Championship.

All I got out of the six minutes of ff'ing through SNME was the following:

Brooke Hogan, Hulk Hogan and Randy Orton? Well, at least they're concentrating the pap in one segment.

Didn't watch any matches except for Sabu vs. a jobber (I *know* who it is, but why bother pretending like he's someone, when he hasn't won a fucking match since George Herbert Walker Bush was president? C'mon, that's like knowing who Justin Credible is - they're all different takes on "Iron" Mike Sharpe anyway). Sabu picked a bad time to have an off night. When he's on, he's fucking ON. When he has a bad night, he's pretty exposed; fortunately, they're rare (though not rare enough). Similar to his botched top-rope Arabian Facebuster on John Cena on the Raw just before ONS this year.

Didn't give a fuck about anything else on the show, so I hope it was at least enjoyable to those who watched it. And Mark Henry was legit injured, so all's well that ends well, I suppose.
Kind of ironic that Batista's first match back someone gets injured...
But it's Mark Henry, so nobody cares, and if anything it gets Mark Henry off my television for (hopefully) a long long time.

ok, maybe the hawiian tropic swimsuit competition or whatever from last friday would get better ratings, but this, from the friday before it!?

I think I'd watch that over Smackdown.

If it wasn't for JBL I wouldn't tune in at all.

You're arguably missing the best show WWE puts on each week, mainly because they've been forced to improvise and throw the storylines out and have actually had wrestling matches.

Unfortunately, with their big star back, it seems like the storylines are back on track.
now that's an FU
Are you talking about the one through the table? That was amazingly picture perfect. I couldnt' believe it, he had him lined straight vertically and then came down on the table absolutely perfectly. I still can't believe when Edge slipped off the ropes for the superplex that Cena didn't slam straight down on his head.

It seems like the more Cena loses these title shots the more I want to watch him. The fallout will be interesting on Monday. I know the whole manager intereference is a little tired but they way they set it up made it at least feel different than usual.

Ok so I'm beginning to realize something about Sabu. Sure he does some awesome moves but there's a lot of times where he completely botches them too. I mean he messes up that first leg drop on Raw, then he has that awesome one onto the table from the ropes, then the next night on ECW he repeats, and then on snme he screws up the leg drop off the top rope that finished the match. It almost seems like the more difficult the leg drop, the more likely he is to be successful with it.

To be fair, Sabu did have to improvise because the table he put Stevie on broke. I'd agree that wasn't Sabu's best match, but he also had, what, 3 minutes to do something spectacular it?

I liked the last SNME a lot better. While there wasn't as much content, it gave what was there more time to develop into something good and logical. This whole show seemed extremely rushed and it didn't come off too good while watching it.
This whole show seemed extremely rushed and it didn't come off too good while watching it.
Carlito/Stratus vs. Nitro/Melina, now that was rushed. I wanted to see what Nitro and Carlito could put together, instead I saw two cool moves and a finish.
This whole show seemed extremely rushed and it didn't come off too good while watching it.
But can't you say that about EVERY WWE show?

Most shows don't come off as rushed to me; I think the fact that USA allows them overrun time just in case helps this out a lot. Obviously, with Smackdown being taped they can edit it how they want to fit their 1:30 of air time, so there's no reason for that to really come off as rushed.
Carlito/Stratus vs. Nitro/Melina, now that was rushed. I wanted to see what Nitro and Carlito could put together, instead I saw two cool moves and a finish.
Agreed, and not only that, but it made Nitro look to be about as credible of a champ as Rey (for those who don't follow: not at all).

Hmm, wwe.com says Cena'll be facing Umaga tomorrow night. Bout time they actually put Umaga against someone who's not a jobber/kfabe retard/old-timer

I dunno, i think they'd do better making him fight babyfaces and big names rather than people even Stevie Richards could beat.

Maybe after Undertaker, Big Show'll challenge Umaga to the ECW title, lol.

The rating for last night's Saturday Night's Main Event can only be called incomprehensibly bad, doing a 2.65 based on the fast nationals. The final number, which will be out in a few days, probably won't vary much for this. It finished last, going against rerun programming, although none of the networks did any numbers last night. Worse, unlike the first one, which did a 3.11 and was a bomb, you can't even use the Hulk Hogan is the biggest draw to mainstream fans and he wasn't there excuse.

That's really sad but understandable.

They barely advertised it compared to last time.
Is anyone watching the TNA PPV? If so, can anyone put up some spoilers?

Many thanks, of course.
TNA puts the results on its website, tnawrestling.com

The TNA PPV looked pretty good until I read the ending

Sting winning leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I know they want to further that storyline, but I really wanted Joe to win. I still think Joe is going to get the title down the road, but he is going to have to get it from Sting which means that there are going to be more title changes than there really needs to be. One thing WWE does right is they tend to leave the title on someone for a good amount of time.

Woot, im glad that Raven finally got some revenge. Though Larry Z probably would've gone completely bald in a few years anyways.

I think its time to revive the "Double J, Aint he Gay?" signs.

I'll be completely honest this was NOT one of TNA's better PPVs. Now it wasn't horrible by any means but I didn't feel like much had happened in those three hours. Sure we saw the return of Kazarian (thank god) and yes Bound For Glory is in Detroit but I could of done without....

- Seeing Jeff Hardy in that Bound For Glory promo. Looks like he's coming back to TNA.
- Larry Zybisco shirtless with a gut that made Raven look fit. Even more hysterical was the promo Larry did before the match saying he was in the best shape of his life. If that's so then I'd hate to be reminded of how in shape he was when he was in his prime.
- Eric Young in his boxer shorts jumping around in the Impact zone crowd. That's almost as embarrasing as seeing five midgets mooning at the camera with "SUCK IT" spray painted on this ass.
- Yet another Team 3D vs James Gang match that was nearly idential to the last several times they faced off.
- Sirelda or whatever her name is... she is GOD AWEFUL. Think Jackie Gayda in her first WWE TV match only this time it was on PPV. Yeah she is THAT bad. I will say this however is that Gail Kim looked just GREAT for the most part during the AMW/Gail vs Styles/Daniels/Ga.. I mean Sirelda. Hell I never knew Gail actually knows how to use a submission hold. That shocked the hell out of me.

And finally.....

Jarrett vs Sting could easily be done without the NWA World Title on the line ya know. Oh well we all know Jarrett will retain the title. He's only keeping it warm for Joe when he inevitably wins it at Bound For Glory. You, I, and EVERYONE ELSE knows that Joe will win it. Period.

tna was allot of fun as usual.. i finally got to see nash and steiner

ahhhh hell no... where the fuck did they say bound for glory is in detroit.. i was looking forward to that

:whistle2:( just can't go a month without a wrestler dying anymore
At least he lived a full life and didn't die in his 30's.

Some interesting Chris Jericho news.

Victoria Ahearn, Canadian PressPublished: Monday, July 17, 2006
TORONTO (CP) - Chris Jericho, former king of World Wrestling Entertainment who once defeated Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Rock on the same night, is facing one of his toughest battles yet - making it in the acting world.

The 35-year-old, who was born Chris Irvine in Winnipeg, left the WWE as the first-ever undisputed champion in August 2005 due to physical and mental burnout.

Jericho is now pursuing a career as an actor - he makes his stage debut this week in Toronto - but with his muscular physique and former tough-guy image, the two-time world champion admits he's been typecast a lot and diverse jobs have been slow in coming.

"I audition for a lot of things," Jericho says in an interview in a Toronto hotel lobby, his voice notably softer than that of his long-haired, intimidating wrestling character who once titled himself the Man of 1004 Holds.

"Last year I actually called it, The Summer of Movies That Chris Auditioned for but Didn't Get the Part."

The fame drought doesn't bother Jericho. In fact, he's come to expect it.
After all, he had to go through the same thing when he started wrestling at the Hart Brothers School of Wrestling at age 19.

"I travelled everywhere around the world wrestling before I finally did get to the WWE," says Jericho, who pinned burly opponents in a Winnipeg bar before doing professional matches in Japan, Mexico, Europe and later with World Champion Wrestling.

"That's why I became so successful at it, because I had such respect for what the business was."

Jericho is in the Norm Foster comedy Opening Night running July 20-22 at the Toronto Centre for the Arts. He plays lead character Jack Tisdale, a middle-aged varnish salesman celebrating his 25th wedding anniversary with a night at the theatre with his wife Ruth.

Jericho says the role will expand his acting repertoire and prove that he can be more than just a screaming hulk who breaks chairs over opponents' backs and jumps off the top ropes.

"I like it when expectations are low," says Jericho, who has been taking improv comedy classes at the Groundlings School in Hollywood where Phil Hartman, Lisa Kudrow, Jon Lovitz and Paul Reubens, among others, once studied.

"If people are expecting you to be the next Philip Seymour Hoffman, well then there might be a few problems, but luckily because I'm just a lowly wrestler, people don't really expect that, which is cool."

Jericho's other acting gigs have included a part as an ill-fated android in the Sci Fi Channel film Android Apocalypse and appearances on VH-1 and the E Networks.

He also has his own show on XM satellite radio called The Rock of Jericho and a rock band called Fozzy, which released its third CD, All That Remains, in 2005 on Jericho's own record label, Ash Records.

Jericho says wrestling has prepped him well for a life on camera and stage.

"Wrestling is show business boot camp," says Jericho, the only performer to have held six different titles in the WWE.

"You learn how to deliver lines, you learn how to be in front of a live audience, you learn to improv, you learn how to cover mistakes ... I've been acting for 15 years, people just don't really realize that."

Jericho has no grand illusions about "becoming the lead in Mission Impossible 3" and says he'll take just about any role he can get - save for one.

"I've been getting a lot of offers for playing a wrestler. I'm not interested in that because that's kind of cliched. People would expect that," says Jericho, who has homes with his wife and 2 1/2-year-old son in Tampa and Los Angeles.

Jericho - whose father, Ted Irvine, was an NHL hockey player and Winnipeg Jets radio commentator - has also signed a deal with Warner Brothers Publishing to write his memoirs.

He says he'll focus on a portion of his life, from 1990 to 1999, just before he made his WWE debut.

"My whole goal was to make it in the WWE," he says. "So that's what this book will be, following my pursuits to do that."

As for wrestling, Jericho says he has no plans to return to the ring, but won't say he's leaving the sport entirely.

"I never use the word retirement because everybody always retires and then comes back, so I never want to actually say that," he says.

"If everything comes to a screeching halt and I'm out on the street wiping your windows down when you stop at a red light, then maybe I'll start thinking about going back to wrestling."
Umaga had better win/lose by DQ because of Edge or the past few months they've been building him will be a waste.
I hope he does lose, and then goes away! Remember when Cena defeated Masters and ended his push? That's what I'm banking on here.
lmao.... cruiserweight title???? grisham sucks ass lol
Hehe, you should see the Gamefaqs threads on that one.

It's funny, HHH took a dig at Miz for screwing up, then HHH procedes to call Shawn Shane and wants a free pass. Then Grisham pulls an Orton. There is one more botch due tonight.

Comparing HHH's misspeak to the Miz is like comparing Rey Mysterio to The Big Show.
